This is the one you should be using. It has the same name as the one for 4.4 so maybe you're flashing the wrong one?

[Q] Firmware upgrade encountered error

Hi, im new here sorry if posted in wrong section
I tryed rooting my Samsung Galaxy Note
I followed every step and unfortunantly after 40 seconds of pressing start I recieved on Odin a red Fail box
Odin looked like it had finished what it was doing even though it failed, so I pressed exit and disconnected the phone.
when I switched the phone back on I got this message
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again"
So I connected to Kies but the phone wont connect. I tryed the recovery but ive never used Kies before so there was no files to recover.
I tryed firmware and initialisation by putting my model and seriel number in but there was nothing found for Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
I dont want to go any further as im not sure what im doing now and ive stopped researching as im nit sure what websites to trust or able to find a correct answer to my issue.
My phones a
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
SM N900
Android Jelly Bean 4.3
United kingdom
(Not sure of other details I cant get into phone to look)
I thought I would come her as my friend recommended the site. I need help on how to make my phone work again.
I can still boot in download mode but I cant connect to computer but I havent tryed to connect to Odin.
ive rooted 5 of my other phones and tablets in the past and never had an issue, so this is new to me
Any fix I am happy with weather its a root fix or back to normal fix I just want my phone working again.
I definantly wont be rooting again im worrying my phone wont work at all now
thank you for any help!
On my screen I have
ODIN MODE (in red)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N9005

then theres a pic of a phone, yellow triangle with an exclamation mark and a computer
then underneath the firmware upgrade error.

Mate. .. Get odin 3.09 and download firmware from sammobile.com. Try with the older firmware versions first like MI6 or something. ... If that don't work. .. Flash MJ7 latest firmware(can't go backwards once you Flash this firmware) and will definitely work

[Q] Couple of questions about rooting Verizone Note 3

Hello
I have Verizon Note 3 with version 4.3.
In the past I was able to root it with out tripping KNOX. Recently I tried to use ROM Recovery, but then found out that ROM recovery would not work on Verizon variant. In the process I soft bricked the phone. I used Odin to re-install OS. The phone works and I can get to Odin and recovery modes, however, it is not rooted. I tried rooting it again using Odin and Root Dela Vega method, but this time it would fail. I notice that Odin mode displays the following:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N900V
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A2, P1
WRITE PROTECT: Enabled
It looks like I tripped the KNOX warranty.
I do not often do this kind of stuff, so I do not know exactly how do I root it in this situation. So my questions are:
1. Can the KNOX warranty be reversed back to 0x0? I think there was a post about it, but I could not find it.
2. How do I root the phone now?
Thanks
Knox cannot be reset for the time being.

It's just a binary number. When you root your phone
1. Your device status will be CUSTOM
2. Your Knox code is tripped
Bad news is there's no turning back here. You will void your warranty and all Knox security feature. Currently, it's impossible to reset those flags
Good news is no one care about those craps, welcome to Knox Tripped Club and enjoy your freedom
Thanks!
But i wanna know if i can turn back to OFFICIAL and if (4) erase or always stay with Knox 0x1 (this don't care but these (4) i never saw :S)
EDIT: (4) can be number flashed device?

As I said.
It will always stick with CUSTOM, you can't turn back to OFFICIAL
KNOX warranty will always show 0x1 (4), no matter how many times you flash

I turn back to OFFICIAL flashing STOCK ROM with ODIN (unrooted and factory reset)
Knox always show 0x1 (4) ??? Only on S5 or 4.4? Because with note 3 or S4 only show knox 0x1 without other number... I'm lost xd
Thanks for your help!

Don't worry about that bro, it's already there since the very first time your phone rooted. One way or another, that number (4) will not increase or decrease

Yes if you install an official rom the status'll be changed to official and now you can use Private Mode without any problem, and use the OTA updates.
Regarding the 0x1(4), yes it will always show that number no matter what you do.
I've 3 S5 rooted and all of them show different numbers after the 0x1...

I have a S5 Duos, I root too, and stayed that way!
For the status of the Roma back as original, use the Triangle Away app (by your own risk).
Have Knox counter, will be even as it is, does not like change.
My Knox shows 0x1 (0) with Samsung Oficial Status
I want to know Can I restore official firmware with odin?

Reset Knox counter (not 0x1)

Hi!
I would like to know if it is possible to reset the Knox counter - not the KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 - as I have "(4)"
In Odin mode, I have the following:
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G900F
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
REACTIVATION LOCK(KK): OFF
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (4)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A1, P1
It's a cat and mouse game to reset the flash counter i.e. the number of times that you have flashed custom firmware. Look for the Triangle away app thread and see if currently supports the S5.

That is far from certain and moreover may vary by variant e.g. 900F, 900H, etc. Chainfire doesn't specifically list the S5 but there are a number of reports in the support thread and elsewhere of people using it with success on their S5s. More than enough reason to suggest that the OP here might wish to look into it.

Yes, I am aware of that and accept it because the price is less than the official retailers. It seems that the seller bought it from his phone operator at a discounted price.

Root is not necessary to SIM unlock, nor the same thing. An incremented Knox flag may affect your ability to make a claim under warranty and using the Knox private mode feature.

What you said confirms my fear that the phone was not unlocked properly!
Hope at least that Triangle away will fully support S5 G900F. The latest version is dated January 2014!

Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F Knox 0x1 (3) ~HELP~

Hi guys I would like to ask what is the cause of this knox trip? I tried to root my SM-G900F using towelroot but it says that my phone isn't supported so I guess this won't be the reason why my knox becomes 0x1 (3). I didn't do anything on my Samsung S5 aside from downgrading to kitkat 4.4.2 ANI2 from Lolipop BOH4. Any idea or suggestions guys? If there would be no chance to turn it back to 0x0 then can you suggest to me a good and stable ROM for my Samsung S5 and rooting as well? Thanks and have a nice day.
For unknown reasons, Knox sometimes tripps 0x1 during update via Kies.
I've rooted my S5 via towelroot but on rom ANE2 - the problem can be you didn't install SuperSu and block Knox.
You can try SixPerience - this is one of my favourite rom.
Very good is OmegaROM, too, but don't try KtoonseZ Kernel - it damaged my GPS receiver :/
