Hello, so I am having a bit of a crisis. LEt me start by giving a brief description of what has been done to the phone...
LG G2 ATT (d800) running 4.4.2 OTA.
Was rooted AFTER the OTA update.
I tried to install a custom recovery first by using ROM Manager to install from the phone itself. The stock recovery was intact as of this point, as ROM manager just flat didn't work. My next move was to follow the thread found here...http://theunlockr.com/2013/11/03/fla...ersions-video/
That is were I started seeing issues. The phone no longer was able to boot into recovery at all. I received the "secure boot error". So I took another approach.
I followed the post found here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2582142
This is where I am now. The phone is stuck on the LG boot screen. I suspect my problem began when I used the files found on that post for the d802 instead of my d800. However, ubuntu will not recognize my phone now. Download mode will not help, it appears.
I think the solution may lie in the post found here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476
The issue I am seeing with this is that I cannot see the COM ports within device manager to set the correct port. I will post in that thread as well, just to reach as many people as I possibly can.
WHAT DO I DO.
Thank you for your future help.

I got my G2 D802 (International model) about 4 weeks ago, and rooted it almost immediately. It has been working great so far, but today I decided to try the latest CM nightly - and that's where I have hit a stumbling block.
I tried first by installing ROM Manager (5.5.3.0, latest version at the time I am writing). Under Recovery Setup, I found that I supposedly had already installed both ClockwordMod Recovery and TWRP. I honestly don't recall installing either one, but the options were available. I tried to "Reboot into Recovery" first with CWM, then with TWRP - both times, after the initial LG logo, I was greeted by the broken android with the red triangle. I also tried to reinstall CWM by choosing the corresponding option "Install or Update Recovery"), but the result was always the same. Each time, I was able to restart the phone, which is still working fine.
I then decided to flash a new CWM. I downloaded CWM Touch, then used Flashify to flash the new image and reboot the phone. This time, the boot process stopped after the LG logo appeared, but an error appeared right above it. I repeated the process two more times (once with CWM Touch and once with the default CWM), and the message that I read was something like:
Code:
Secure booting error
Error: Boot Certification Verify!
At this point, I am wondering if the problem might be a locked bootloader, or if it might be something else altogether. Could someone please point me in the right direction? I am not exactly a noob, as I used to root and flash my Nexus devices in the past. After a couple of years using Asus Padfones, however, I am a little rusty.
I have the exact same problem, I installed CWM using rom manager after rooting the phone.

Someone should really write to lg about unlocking the bootloader.

I was having the same issue. I found this nice link that worked like a charm and is VERY easy. If you're rooted, just download the appropriate apk for your device and it will install twrp. I was driving myself crazy earlier trying to fix this and then I find this app AutoRec... Genius!
http://www.droidviews.com/install-twrp-recovery-on-lg-g2-running-android-4-4-2-kitkat/
Hope this helps everybody who's just as frustrated as I was.
I had this issue too.
I had this issue too:
Every time I tried to boot into recovery I got the error from OP. Every time i ran the loki script i got some error about reading aboot. Mind you I could still boot, I just couldn't get into recovery.
I went to this page, downloaded the apk, installed it and let it do the rest.

Hey, this is a long-shot but,
I ended up using the AutoRec KitKat app for the D803 variant and go custom recovery to work that way which let me instal my rom. But the rom I got is acting glitchy and I can't install another one or re-install it since I'm getting this recovery error again and the lolipop version of the AutoRec app isn't for D803.
Any suggestions?? The rom I have seems to switch network type automatically/having a network glitch so I'm disconnecting every couple minutes.
for security boot error, and QHUSB_BULK and many drives showing up. i just used download mode and used flash tools to go back to stock..
An Easy Fix
Here's what worked for me:
-Like all of you I would get the secure boot error. To fix it I decided to reinstall the software from the official LG app on PC (Windows) and it worked!
-You need:
Official LG app on PC
The ability to enter download mode on your phone
A cable to connect the phone to the PC
How to do it:
-Turn of the phone completely, the enter download mode by holding the vol+ button and the inserting the USB cable before it reaches the LG logo (it's precise timing so it may take a few tries). If you did everything right you should get a message saying entering dowload mode and see a screen in which there is a USB logo and progress bar and some other writing. On your PC go to the LG app and it will offer you the latest software update. Do the update. It will download the software the upload it to your phone and after installation it will power on and voila your phone is alive and there is no data loss at all
-I hope this works for all who have this problem and since this is my first reply/post ever I hope it's useful.
Hello everyone I need some help with my G2 its the rogers D803, First off I'm kinda a noob when it comes to flashing roms, this is my third G2 I've owned, i bought it off kijiji and its been nothing but trouble, my LTE wouldn't work and I couldn't update it to 4.4, The ota wouldn't work cause the device was not resisted. I tried to update with the LG support tool, when i would connect the device it would say update found then all of a sudden it would say your device is up to date. So i decided I would root it and flash a custom rom. I used TWRP a flashed Mahdi Rom and it worked great. Now here is where I messed up, I decided to try another rom, went into recovery and did my wipe but i accidentally wiped the system along with all the roms and zips I had on the internal storage. now its stuck i n a boot loop, I'm still able to get into twrp and also can get into download mode. my problem is I'm unable to mount the device to get my roms or even my backup folder back onto the device. when i plug the phone in i cant get the drivers to install , ive tried using ADB but my device doesn't show up on there. it does show up on the lg support tool when i put it into download mode. If anyone can help me out it would be much much appreciated. sorry for the wall of text but I'm trying to give as much details as possible.

It was getting stuck on the Lg logo but i was still able to boot into twrp. but good news I just figured it out. I downloaded Koush universal adb driver and was able to sideload a new rom.
Hello all,
Today I read a lot of posts here about rooting my phone because I was done with the stock UI.
I went for it and now I think I made a mistake, I would like your help. I read some similair posts, but I cant find a true solution for my problem.
My goal is to run CM 11, I have a stock LG 802 config with 4.2.2.
My steps were as followed:
- I used towelroot v3 wich was succesful
- I installed and ran D802 autorec (wich i guess was a bad idea). I got to recovery mode and I wanted to back up first.
- I made a back up of boot and system
- After the back up, I had to reboot
- NOW its stuck in a boot sequence to nothing. Just a light green and blue. I get the logo and I can get in the stock recovery it seems. Should I reset to factory settings?? Is that data still present?
I hope I can go from there, but after my major fail Im afraid to try it.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Update
I can get into download mode and LG Support Tool finds a phone, but the specs do not match and the update states that there is not any update available, wich there is.
When I get into recovery mode I can get into TWRP and I should be able to continu the process with flashing and wiping. The CM mod and Gapps are already on the internal memory. But I am really afraid.
For the record I did not flash or wipe anything yet, except for running Autorec and rebooting after prompt.
The real question for me is (I guess), is Autorec really unsupported with 4.2.2?
I would like to go on with the process, but I also would like to go back stock if needed in the future (hence the recovery back up I made with TWRP before the bootloop.)
Thanks again for any help what so ever
first i wanna say that this is my first time trying this and after a lot of research i thought i knew what i was getting into but now i feel completely lost. earlier today I rooted my phone using one click root then installed twrp using auto rec. auto rec seemed to work fine and i clicked open in recovery just to see if it worked. twrp opened no problem but when i went to boot the system back up i started getting security error messages under the LG logo. i tried getting it to boot again after formatting and now its just stuck on the LG logo and not doing anything at all. im almost positive i have a d800 version and pretty sure that i used the right autorec file. i was running 5.0.2 instead of kit kat so not sure if that had something to do with it. please help me out anyway you can, i really need to get my phone working again for work and not sure what to do. i tried searching for an answer but had trouble figuring out what to do.
Yes definetely it has something to do with it. Because autorec uses kitkat kernel. You just have to flash lollipop kernel and you're good to go.

Flash stock firmware with KDZ (Lg Flash Tool) there are a lot of tutorials here on xda.
Good luck.
I'm in the middle of the TOT method right now to get it back to stock firmware, seems to be working. so now if i want to start over and root/get twrp on my phone any suggestions on the best method? i've read a lot of different ways to do it and not quite sure what would be best. sorry if this seems like an easy find, i just dont want to run into this mess again ha.
Lg g2 wont turn on after installing autorec
I have tried to install auto rec on my g2(4.4.2). And now the wont boot and not even going to download mode. When i connected the phone to the computer phone is not getting detected. In the device manager it is shown as android phone=> android bootloader interface. when i try to turnon the phone, the screen just displays some vertical and horizontal lines on left side of the screen. Please help !!!
Good Day everyone
I am in desperate need for some help please, i managed to brick my LG G2, and need help unbricking it
I have the D802 International model.
The story so far, it had Cloudy G2 2.1 Rom on, wanted to update it to, Cloudy G2 3.3 , followed the guide on Blogspot, when, you search for "kevin with tech cloudy G2 3.3" on Google
Wiped the partitions via TWRP 2.7, as stated in the video (everything except internal storage), and then installed the KK-D802 bootloader.
After i rebooted, my G2 did not come boot again, it will go on with the boot logo and the words: "Boot certification verify" Secure booting error. will appear for about 2 seconds then just goes black.
Whenever i try to plug in via USB cable, it will detect multiple new drives in windows and accept me to "Do you want to format". in the device manager i can see device being detected as "QHSUSB_BULK"
My phone is rooted as well.
Some sites recommend using a linux way, but i have been through countless forums, and not sure which way is the right
Please please i need some help unbricking it, and willing to donate to the successful user advice / tutorial of unbricking it.
Thanks for reading and in advance.

Had the exact same issue, I believe it's caused by corrupting the internal memory (multiple causes for this).
Don't freak just follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/tools-srk-tool-useful-toos-lg-root-twrp-t3079076 (there's a video guide at the bottom, but it's pretty straight forward).
After that follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 to get it back to stock and work from there.
Good Day everyone
Thanks for all the advice and help, wanted to update the thread to solved, but things went a bit hectic at work during the week.
Anyways managed to get my phone working again, and restored to original state(thank God).
Basically followed a guide i found on Youtube, used the LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash back to Kit Kat stock, and then from there i rooted and used Auto_rec.
Found a guide on Reddit for Cloudy 2.2 install, flashed correct KK-Bootloader, and restored my Nandroid backup (which strangely at first did not work when restored via TWRP on stock Kit Kat, got the same Secure boot error)
Restored only data and system (everything except the boot) and my phone was back to it's original state.
Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.
PS: I was stuck in some boot loops, so had to format my internal memory as well.
Peace
