[Q] Trouble with TWRP. Please help - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I am having issues with TWRP. I have my galaxy s4 rooted and the customer recovery installed. Whenever I create a back up it works flawlessly. But when I try to do a wipe/factory reset or a restore or an install of a different rom, the system starts then the recovery resets itself. I cannot figure out what the problem is.

[Q] Stuck in Samsung logo after first reboot (second)

Hi guys,
I can install any ROM in my S4 and the phone makes the first boot, enter in OP and i can configure anything with normal function.
But the problem appears when i make the first boot after this, stucks in Samsung Galaxy S4 LOGO and dont exit. I already made a wipe cache/dalvik but nothing happens.
What can i do?
when you are flashing a new rom are you wiping system? if not do so
if you are wiping system you may have a root thats not sticking after a cache wipe. if this is the case then you will need to flash su.zip found here-->http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22964708692722463 before you flash a new rom. if you find that this is the case and that your root is not sticking i would suggest downloading twrp 2.5.0.2 from goo.im. after flashing this latest version it fixed this exact problem for me. NOTE: i am on MDC not MDL so if you are on MDL be careful what you do....this may not work for you.
also if when you are restoring your apps and whatnot make sure you are not restoring system data cause this can cause that issue as well.....
What rom did you flash?

[Q] Un-soft brick my s5

I was recently flashing a rom on my rooted Verizon S5 via Safestrap on one ROM slot. I flashed the rom then downloaded the 0A8 kernel. Upon bootup, the phone was stuck on a boot loop, but I can get into recovery and download mode. I have already tried to factory reset the phone via recovery and I have also tried to put on the stock kernel again. Both were unable to resolve the issue. I have a fulll nandroid backup so wiping anything would not be an issue, but is there any way to solve this problem?
Also, when the phone boots up, it stays on the S5 boot screen and you will hear the boot sound but it will remain at that screen for an infinite amount of time. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Galaxy S4 i9515 Stuck in Bootloop After Flashing ROM

[Rooted][i9515] OS Problems?
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 i9515 and I tried to flash a mod in CWM. The main problem is that all my apps stopped working and the screen is black. I tried rebooting in recovery mode but is restarting and refuse to open in Recovery Mode. The only thing I can access is the Download mode, which is working fine (I hope).I did a Nandroid backup before flashing but now I can't access that neither. Anyone has an idea what happened and how to solve this?
Edit: I reflashed the stock firmware and now the phone works fine, I think the problem was a corrupted sistem file but now I lost the root access temporarily.

[Zenfone 3 ZE552KL] Won't boot to system

Hi,
After doing some unlocking, installing recovery then rooting. I was able to complete root process but i had an issue where my sim cards were not detected. Foolish me, i tried to do a factory reset in the settings and it turns out that my system was not recovered back. Now, it is looping on TWRP and can't boot back to system. Not sure what to do next...
Done fixing: i flash back the original recovery. Stock recovery automatically proceed with "erasing" then it autoreboots. Hope this help others encountering the same problem. To prevent this, just don't do factory reset via system setting when having custom recovery.

hello, the same thing happen to my phone and i want to ask where can i get the original recovery file?

Galaxy A5(2015) restarts again and again.

Hello, i wanted to change frequency bands on galaxy a5 and use this thread:https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059, after i restart device, it started but after few seconds it restarted automatically, after started and same.
what can i do, if i install stock rom may it back to normal(after hard reset from twrp, and install custom os nothing changed)?
Can someone help?
Clean wiping and installing stock ROM will obviously fix this issue. If you are on a custom ROM, you can try wiping and reinstalling the system partition only which may fix the issue of boot loop.
