[Q] Another firmware on N9005 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK, I have SM-N9005 with:
AP: N9005XXUENB3
CP: N9005XXUENB1
CSC: N9005OXXENB1
(Poland)
Can I change it with:
AP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005BHTDMJ4
(Bosnia&Herzegovina)
without any demage?

Flashing a different regions FW shouldn't be a issue but you are trying to go from 4.4.2 to 4.3 and that's not possible.

No you can't. Performing this is downgrade since NB1 and NB3 is for Kitkat. MJ4 and MJ7 is for Jellybean. You can't downgrade the firmware since MJ7. If you perform this, it will brick your device.

Mate @fahadali2315 answered that question already. Asking again won't change the answer.

Flashing stock firmware will not encounter any problem as long as the steps are right and the build number must be the same or higher because if you downgrade you'll just gonna brick your phone.

Changing csc

Hello. I want to change my csc to BTU, but is it possible without root?
Thanks
Unfortunately it's not possible without root.
Edit: There might be a solution. I think if you flash a BTU Stock firmware you will get the BTU CSC. But to do this you must have Odin and I don't know if it sets knox to 0x1.
Check Sammobile.com for BTU firmware.

How did you select BTU when you flashed the new firmware? And did it change your Knox to 0x1? (I'm on XME and am considering moving to BTU too.)

It's simply - take system folder, fix permissions, fix owners, fix selinux context (if needs) and build via make_ext4fs...

It have the new bootloader MK6 and no MJ9. With this bootloader you don't have triangle, but the counter works like the older bootloaders without triangle warning.
With custom kernel you dont have triangle at boot but the counter is 1.

Any mistyping? I checked on the sammobile.com the BTU MJ7 is N9005XXUDMJ7_N9005OXADMJ4_N9005XXUDMJ7_HOME

Q: Change CSC on n9005 NA6

Hi everyone,
I have searched through the forum and did not find any way how to change CSC on 4.4.2. I am currently rooted on NA6 firmware and NA2 baseband. My current CSC is XSI (United Arab Emirates)
My unlimate purpose is to change CSC to Poland, unroot and get timely updates.

Tried many times. Nothing happens. CSC Changer from play store doesn't work as well - it just freezes on "change CSC" button.

Many thanks! I have seen this way somewhere in S4 forums, but didn't think it could be used for our Note 3. I will try when I'll be ready for full wipe and post the results here.

So, after flashing stock roms and rooting and I have finally managed to change CSC to BTU using "CSC Select".
But stock NA6 still tells "The latest updates have already been installed". Kies also says that this is the latest firmware.
Any ideas how to officially get update to NB7? According to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-N9005 NB7 is already rolled out for BTU region.
Thanks!
