TouchWiz vs AOSP - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Don't see anything on the S4 thread related to this.
I've seen some people claiming that TW is faster and more battery efficient than any of the AOSP roms including CM11.
Any insights from people on this that have tried both?
Pls comment on battery life, snappiness, benchmarks if possible.
I'll start
OmniRom (AOSP based)
- battery hog. Uses 20% overnight. I always Greenify my apps
- 27000-29000 on Antutu
- feels sluggish
MapleLeaf rom (TouchWiz)
- 2% overnight. Seems very efficient, I can use the line on the battery chart as a ruler because it's so straight.
- feels snappier
- Antutu 25k
Not sure if I just used a bad nightly or what, but pls share experiences. Thanks

Battery life thread

I would like people to write here their best battery life experience with different kernels and settings. Thought it may be helpful for people. Maybe even screens of battery status and use.
My best kernel for battery was speedmod k13A which lasted a full day for me which I struggle with despite little use. Any help would be appreciated.
Galaxy S - no point in writing rom or kernel constantly changing!

i9500 Roms Favouring battery life

So, despite performance being something I am heavily interested alongside with pretty themes(minimalist) I really do care about something manufacturers don't give a **** about any more and that is battery life.
My question is directed towards i9500 users, I am trying to figure out which rom has best battery performance, all CM roms seem to be underperforming+ poor battery life.. I am looking for something that supplies me with REALLY good battery performance, can you guys tell me which rom does it for you?
what you are looking for is kernel rather than a rom.
all touchwiz based roms will give you +- the same performance and battery life.
to increase battery life you should Tweak your system with Greenify, Unbounce and Kernel so you could undervolt your cpu.

[Q] [Q/Opinions/Discussion] - Battery Life between CM/AOSP/AOKP and TW Roms

I wanted to start this thread mostly because I haven't found anything like it, but also because I need to know myself
Being the good flashaholic fiend that I am, as well as a monstrous fan of the Open Source, I run between AOSP/CM Roms, and Touchwiz roms for my Note 3.
While I absolutely love the vanillaness of CM/AOSP, what I've found over the last few weeks is that I am getting about 1/2 the battery life I do on a Touchwiz Rom with about the same amount of usage, using Shinto kernel and/or LeanKernel (about the same batter life give or take an hour).
For instance, I'm on a ZeroLemon 10,000Mha battery. With the Rom in my Sig, I can get about 4 days with moderate usage... while on a CM/AOSP rom, I'm lucky at best to get 2 days.
Why is this? Especially because there are a lot more processes running on the TW rom?
What are your opinions?
Same here man, found the battery life in s5 port rom better than Cm11

So... i did find better battery life with CM11... but an AOSP rom is noticably horrid... and still TW roms seem to be better than both.
All tests are using LeanKernel same version... all configured the same in terms of the kernel.
Anyone have any ideas why this is?
Because TW rom are optimized with material and not AOSP who are generics . ...
I think i got a decent setup now for CM11
Tasker to Greenify almoat eberythin on screen off. Pixel Battery Saver on Medium
Underclocked to 1.9Ghz with burst to 2.2Ghz.
300Mhz at screen off.
Looking at 73% battery left with 14.5 hrs off charger and just over 3 hours screen in time. Wifi is always on... and i do about a half hour gaming... 2 hour chromecast thru plex and about 2 hours bluetooth music streaming
Yes... I have a zerolemon

cm11 based, Battery life.

I've used Touchwiz and CM11 based ROM's however, for some reason the touchwiz roms give far better battery life. Are there any cm11 based roms, or cm11 itself, that have good battery life? I'm talking all day battery good sleep etc. Get at me!

S5: Best ROM&Kernel for battery life & stability

I'm looking for the best S5 900F (klte) rom&kernel with a focus on battery life and stability. Customizability, user friendliness and 'snappiness' are also important. Heavy performance less so.
I'm currently on CM 12.1 nightlies. Not unhappy, but battery life isn't spectacular and stability is so-so. And I was hoping there were perhaps even better things now.
