If you can get your PC to recognize your phone with the phone's drivers installed, then you have hope. If you can still get into android itself, install twrp installer from the Play Store. Update to the latest recovery from there (assuming your rooted).
If you cannot get into android, but when pressing volume up while plugging a usb cable connected to a PC in, your phone is recognized by the PC, you have to flash the stock KDZ file using the R&D test tool that floats around on these forums. It will unroot your device, but it will give you the chance to start clean and unharmed.
For me, I have to send mine in under warranty because now my G2 doesn't even pop up on Windows or Linux.

[Q] Flash stock with security error

Ok, so I flashed cleanrom ex, and on reboot I got a security error.
I tried to get to recovery, but it wipes data and immediately reboots.
I've tried flashing the stock rom, but lg flash tool tells me it's the wrong device (now thinks it's a D802).
I've been trying to get into TWRP on scrosler and samsunggalaxystig's advice, first by repeatedly trying an adb reboot recovery, then by writing a batch script to do it repeatedly in order to catch it before it reboots.
Problem is, I don't know if I had already had ADB drivers installed on this computer for the G2 (had rooted while at work), and despite installing them more than once, I don't think the device actually has enough time to be recognized as I still have an unrecognized "g2" in device manager while TWRP is wiping.
Any ideas? Is there any way I can force the install of the ADB driver without having it connected for more than 20 seconds? Spitballing... would it be possible to actually flash a D802 image so I could then root, change the build.prop to D800, and then flash the D800 image?
Totally at a loss at this point.
did you solve your problem? i have a similar problem and i just bricked an s3. this g2 is brand new and now it's bricked too! if you have found a solution please respond... :crying:

Why did flashing a rom leads you to that error? Sorry but not familiar with your roms but is this rom really for your LG G2 model?

twrp corrupted my cache partition and the phone could not boot. i tried to flash cwm while in twrp and i guess i messed up recovery and/or boot partitions. al i could get was fastboot. i flashed a boot.img i got from somewhere in here. now it says security error and it does not boot. it does not enter into fasboot. i can enter into recovery mode but it is the stock lg recovery and if i choose "delete all data", which is the only option, it gives an error and restarts.
if i try to flash stock firmware as described in this post it stops at 49%.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can someone help me I successful in installing twrp though autorec apk and the same for rooting my g2. I flashed cm with nightlies and noticed that twrp had a update. I downloaded the zip and try flashing it like flash a recovery in flashify but that din't work and readed that zip flashing though twrp didn't work but renumber this video and though it would update my recovery to 2.7.1 but it was successful in doing so but when I got to recovery it was 2.7.0. That not the problem form there I tried to boot into my system. Then it turn off though that I passed power off instead but when turn my g2 back on I found that I had a security error show up then turn back off. So can someone help show me a tutorial on unbick or a way to remove error. Also I have the d800 and i have some idea without going though unbicking a hard factory rest or flasing twrp form there site in fastboot. Finally that lg mobile support tool say that im up to date. I think doing the autorec twrp recovery locked as my phones recovery like trying to flash a rom with a locked bootloader.
Ok guys i trying to help cause it happen to me too, sorry for my english too slow but i try, when you try go twrp with volume up+power buttom it still show security errow, that ok your device not hardbrick yet, when you try volume down+power buttom it show hard reset it does mean it clear all rom, picture in internal but it go to twrp again, and them just flash another rom in your device and it done, have great day piece
I had the same problem on my G2 was using twrp to flash cyanogenmod not sure what i did and phone rebooted to show security error message. I entered recovery mode (power and volume down release when logo pops up and press power and volume down again hold for a second then tap both buttons a few times) pulled up the option to factory reset so i did and it booted me into twrp and allowed me to flash cyanogenmod correctly this time and the phone started back up with no problems. hope this can help someone else as well.
Anybody know the solution?
I also have the security error boot loop after flashing KK baseband files... I tried to enter recovery mode by holding vol down & power button but it wont work...
it does work when i enter download mode (vol up + power button), but i don't want to have to download the stock LG ROM..
anybody know how to by pass the security error boot loop to allow me to reflash?

if you still bricked. try this
get your tools from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
keep reading or follow above thread. both will work.
best of luck.
After all the drivers installed correctly
make sure your phone is connected to the
com41 port change it if it already not ( Under device manager > Go to Ports (COM & LPT). You should see LGE AndroidNet etc... Right click it and go to Properties > Port Settings > Advanced > Change COM Port Number to COM41 > OK > OK > Close Device Manager )
run flash tool
1. choose type CDMA
2. chose PhoneMode: DIAG
leave rest as it is.
3. choose your kdz file.
then go to download mode
1. power off
2. press and hold vol + key and plug usb cable
3. done )
We have go 2 flashing modes.
1. Normal Flash is for flash with keeping data
2. CSE flash is totally new start preffered.
hope this helps.
thanks but it was a long time ago and I further messed up things, ended up sending it for warranty. they have replaced the device.

Hey guys, I was in the same boat for a little but was able to fix it by downloading the 801C firmware and flashing it. The firmware file should be a KDZ extension and you should also download LG Flash Tool 2014. Turn the phone on by holding the Power button and Volum up while it is plugged into your computer(It has to be plugged into a computer with LG phone drivers or it won't work).
Follow this tutorial and you will be set.
http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-restore-lg-g2-to-stock-firmware/
Start at step 17 on Method 1 and you should be golden.
Hope this helps guys!

HELP!!! Samsung S5 stuck at TWRP Boot Loop

This morning, there was an update for the Xposed Framework, tried to install it and installed via TWRP recovery. However after install and reboot, there is still notification on some components not installed so I decided to tick the Install automatically option in TWRP.
However, upon reboot and enter into recovery, I ended up being in boot loop
Now my phone is just flossing the Teamwin splash screen, so i assume that its going into boot loop.
I hope someone can guide me on what to do to fix the problem.
By the way, once connected to PC it is detected, however, ODIN and Kies seems not to detect the device
Tried demoing batteries, removing sd card but problem sis still there
Make sure u have the right drivers installed on ur computer so ur computer recognizes it.
My phone did this same thing the other day BC i was messing around with some files in Root Explorer anyway, after I got the correct drivers installed, I was able to fix it using an older version of ODIN (the new ODIN would not work for some reason), all I did was reflash TWRP and when my phone rebooted all my stuff was still there and nothing was changed.
Hope this helps.

Bootloop problem, no recovery, no download mode (Non rooted and No custom recovery)

Hi, I just bought an LG G2 D802 20B Model a couple days ago, yesterday I wanted to downgrade to 4.2.2 and I ended up bricking the phone.
The phone is non rooted, doesn't have any custom recovery, and not recognized by adb even though i installed all the drivers ( koush drivers, PdaNet, Lg drivers ...)
At first I flashed with .kdz file and it ended in bootloop, I tried to factory reset but it doesnt have any effects with the stock recovery it only shows the green android bot and blue progress bar and then restart in 3 seconds and reboots to lg logo and start looping.. After a restart the download mode didn't work anymore it showed me fastboot error, I searched for the tutorial that actually worked and I flashed with .tot method but there is still bootloop and the download mode is stuck at the image attached. The phone is not recognized by neither windows or ubuntu therefore I can't use adb to fix the partitions.
Can any body provide me with a solution? The phone is still new and it will be a shame if its transformed to a brick in 3 days :crying:

Thanks for your reply, however the phone is not recognized on windows neither on ubuntu therefore this tutorial can't help ...
I am in the exact same situation.
Mine is a D802 32GB Hong Kong model. I stupidly ran AutoRec which soft-bricked my phone. Managed to get Download Mode working, then flashed 20C and 20B which bootlooped. Then I attempted to flash 10B, which got me into this exact state:
Download Mode not working (only shows "Download Mode", does not go to firmware recovery screen, not detected in Win/Linux)
Factory reset (Power + Vol Down) can go to factory reset screen, after factory reset, still bootloop.
Once in a while, I also get the Android icon which then disappears after a few seconds and goes to LG logo again.
If I plug the phone in and do a factory reset, Windows detects the LGE AndroidNet modem, and Linux will detect cdc_acm USB Abstract Control Model driver. Flash Tool and LG Mobile Support seems to detect the phone and attempt to flash, but the phone restarts after a short while.
I have no idea what else to do

Reformatted /system, can't install new rom

I wanted to completely reformat my phone as my phone was buggy with Cyanogen Mod 12, so I formated everything.
The problem is that my PC was not detecting the drivers when in recovery mode, so I couldn't side-load with ADB, and I have no way of getting a .zip on to it.
I tried re-installing the clockwork mod using ODIN but it would just crash the application. I then tried heimdall and that said it installed it (I was hoping that it would fix adb)
Now I can't boot in to the clockwork mode recovery as it just instantly turns the phone off, however I can just boot normally in to the Galaxy S4 logo screen.
When I'm in the logo screen I do have access to ADB, however my phone is unathorised and I have no way to authorise it.
How can I A) fix clockwork recovery so it works again and B) put a zip on the phone or fix ADB detecting my device in recovery?
If you can get into download mode, flash a full stock ROM via Odin and start again

[Hard brick] recovery bootloop: no recovery mode, no download mode accessible

Hi,
I was flashing twrp with flashify when I just rebooted in recovery and since that moment my phone is stuch on an infinite bootloop showing me the:
"Recovery booting (recovery is not seandroid enforcing...)"
I'm plugging off the battery for some hours, but when plugged in nothing changed.
My phone has the usb port broken, so I can use it only to charge the battery, but no pc will recognize it.
Since the fact that I can't access download mode, or recovery mode to restore a nandroid backup, It's insane to buy a usb port to change it on the phone and try to link to a pc?
I mean, is there a way to access download mode?
Does JIG usb work in this situation of hard brick?
Any advice?
Thanks for answering.

You need a working usb to flash a custom recovery or an offical fw. I thought flashify needs root access to work?. Or if you already have root, you could adb to flash twrp but it's too late now.
Try getting into download mode. When it asks to proceed or cancel, choose cancel. Some people are lucky that the phone boot into system again but they need to fix the broken recovery later.

After 2 months of battery out, finally I got download mode to work, and pressing cancel my phone started.
Thanks.
But now it seems that there is no custom recovery installed, so when i go in custom recovery, the loop starts again.
How may I install again a custom recovery, knowing that:
1) I can't connect to pc, cm 12.1 has a bug, no pc recognizes my phone;
2) rom manager doesn't install any custom recovery on my phone;
3) flashify made my phone in boot loop, and I can't understand what I was wrong 2 months ago.
Thank you, man.
See your other post man .
Flash the tar version of TWRP using Odin. If there is no tar version, you can use Cygwin to convert an img file to a tar file.
