Is true that Korean G2 got update patched with Knock Code? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have not seen anybody talking about it. But this guy says he did and he seemed to be the only one talking about it. Can anybody confirm?

Yes it's true and in fact someone posted a question here and it had a screenshot of knock code

I think they have more functions like the knock code...^^

[Q] [Help] LG G2 D800 Won't Rotate

So, i have the LG G2 D800 and the Gyroscope works fine since i bought it, custom roms rotated fine but recently ANY Rom i flash doesn't rotate, ran some tests and the Gyro stays at 0,0,0 when i flash the d80010c to 20d kitkat stock from LG it rotates and the tests go from -1,0,2 and so on and so forth.
I don't want LG's UI, but i also want rotation, if you guys can help, please. I recorded it also just today, sorry for bad quality.

0:06 - Cyanogenmod 10.2 [SLIM GAPPS] 4.3.1
4:15 PAC-ROM [PA_GAPPS] 4.4.2
11:40 LG G2 KitKat Flashable rom [Stock] 4.4.2
Simply download and flash this modem. Your rotation will be working just fine afterwards. Make sure to make a backup of your current baseband or if when/if you ever flash back to stock you wont have rotation with the stock rom lol. Simple fix

The modem you need to get rotation working depends on the custom rom you are using!
If you are using a custom rom that is based on LG's KitKat Source (e.g. Mahdi Rom, Slim Kat has now started with test builds) you need a non-modded KitKat modem version.
If you are using a Kit-Kat Custom rom, but which is based on LG's JellyBean Sources you need a moded Kitkat modem version to get rotation working.
Which custom are you using at the moment?
The moded versions can be found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705509

I don't just post with download links telling individuals to download this and that and as I know what I'm talking about.... I mean come on flashing is serious business... damage can be done but don't get all dramatic

You are right, I haven't read properly. But I think just providing people with download links doesn't help them at all.
For myself i want to know why these problems appear and why these issues can be solved by flashing this specific file.
Greetings

Well no one had replied to his post and that was in March so I thought you would appreciate a quick fix. I usually like to explain my reasoning behind suggesting a link to download a file and what it's going to do and how exactly its going to fix your problem and what has happened in the first place so the user not only gets an answer or ultimately a solution he is now is knowledgeable on the subject for future reference.

I noticed that is for a D800. Which one is for KiTKat D80220D Stock ROM? I was trying to get LTE and flashed a modem but lost rotation. I need to get back to the original D80220D modem. Thanks.
Stock as in fully stock or a custom stock ROM??

That is not going to work for a D802. The only way to fix this is to flash back to stock (fully). I did that an amazingly lost nothing except root. I was proud of myself. Then in the process of trying to regain root I lost everything...ouch! I completely forgot about how i originally got root while in JB an and still had the old iroot files. It was a disaster.

Hi, the link you had provided is no longer active. Is it possible for you to update that please? I am facing this problem currently and your post appears like the best answer around. I intend to try out your method, however that can be possible if you can update the URL for downloading and flashing the modem.

Auto-rotate issue with Kitkat ROMs.

What's going everyone? I'm having this auto-rotate bug on every Kitkat ROM other than LG Stock KK and I was told that it is the modem but I have no idea where to find a Stock KK modem for when I want to switch back to LG Stock KK. I have a T-Mobile LG G2 and I know where to find the older modem to fix auto-rotate but can't find LG KK modem for T-Mobile.. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes but can't seemed to find it anywhere. I've also checked the thread on here providing LG G2 modems but couldn't find T-Mobile KK modem.

Awesome! You just saved me a couple ROM installs! It also fixed Google Camera app. I guess orientation device didn't work.

Knock Code but rooted?

Sorry I'm not too educated in the whole root thing, I really want knock Code on my g2, but I'm currently rooted. Is there any safe way to update to get it without losing root?

People say d800 upgrade is here - with knock code support.
Today d80020u update started rolling out to d800 and it includes knock code, just wait until you get it

if you have modified anything on the phone(mods/xposed/debloat) ota fails because it knows you rooted, returning everything back to complete stock usually fixes the error

Knock code issues

I just got my AT&T g2 after having a nexus4. I just flashed recovery using autorec and now my double tap to wake won't work. Double tap to sleep still works. I'm still on stock kitkat. I posted this question in the AT&T g2 forum but didn't get an answer yet so I figured I would post here. Anyone know a quick fix? Thanks guys

It won't work on stock with AutoRec because the kernel source hasn't been released yet.

are you on one of the knock code updates? just because you are on kitkat does not mean you are going to have knock code there were at least 3 kitkat updates before d802 got official knock code update
I had no updates since i got it.
