[Q] How to root Note 3, 4.3 JB - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I'm here to ask you guys how I can root my Samsung galaxy note 3 without voiding my warranty and hence without tripping my Knox counter. My devices details are as follows,
When I enter *#1234# on my dialler:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And in settings > about device:
If it can be rooted without tripping my knock counter, please do it in detail as I ain't that bright .
Thanks anyways guys.

If you had followed note 3's forums for one day, you would know that what you want is not possible even in 2020.
How can you root if you don't know what it is. Lol. Not attacking you, but saving you from losing your note 3.
And if you some how don't care any more about Knox then root with cf auto root. Development forums and instructions there too.
Have fun with your note 3.

I meant ND3, just a typo i guess. Anyway, i also included that you check Towelroot's requirements. I won't do that for you. Your phone you decide.

I know well it's my decision but I was reading that there is some fellow's note 3 has tripped knox after rooting with towelroot .. so I wondered is there some programs the knox feel with them and tripped or its just bad luck with them .. anyway I am so so sorry for being annoying but really I just need to understand that's all
Thanks in advance ?

Personally used Towelroot. Did not trip Knox, stayed 0x0. After custom recov was installed then that tripped my knox counter, best decision ever. Now i'm flashing away custom roms. You're lucky having an early KK that could actually use TR. Some people who updated KK have to go through a process just to use TR and not trip knox.

[Q] Help/Questions regarding rooting Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 4.4.2

Hi all,
It has been a few years since I rooted my last Android device and I seem to be having some difficulties in rooting my current Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 running Android 4.4.2.
Please see attached screenshot of my phone Baseband version, build number, etc.
Are there any supported root methods for my device?
How important is the build number/baseband version when attempting to root?
I seem to be able to find root info for similar devices although quoting a different build number etc.
I attempted to use the chain fire auto root and selected the root file for the Qualcomm international and it did flashed in Odin and showed PASS but did not grant SU privileges.
Luckily my phone was fully functional after a hard reset, although I am wondering whether these methods of rooting are still working for my version of Note 3.
Is there a possibility that it is not possible to root my SM-N9005 due to the particular build number?
I have attempted to search around for any useful threads, although I am not having any luck.
Can anyone even suggest a method which I could investigate further, or even possibly direct me to an existing thread which may prove useful?
Thanks in advance,
Alex.
For ease of reference my build number is:
KOT49H.N9005XXUENE3

}
All I am after is SuperUser privileges for various purposes - not looking to flash any custom ROM or anything of the sort at this stage.
ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE AWESEOME!
Here are some additional details from the Phone Info app:
This would make me assume that using CF-AutoRoot should work using the file:
SM-N9005 (International Qualcomm): CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip
Is this correct?

Note 4 firmware change possible ?

Hoi to all,
is it possible, to change my firmware, from N910FXXU1ANK4 to N910FPNH1ANK2_PNH ?
What wil happend with the Knox Warranty Void ?
Now i have a Vodafone rom(stock) on it, and i want to go to the PNH rom (stock)
It's not the first time for my to flash, just asking because i not sure about this.
Hopefully that someone, gives a positive feedback.
PS. sorry for my bad English, I come from the Netherlands.
Cool I'm from the Netherlands too. Here in the Netherlands only dynafix is repairing samsung and i have send several samsung devices with knox triggered to them without problems.
Debranding is always possible, but I'm not sure about knox. I always root my phone so knox is already triggered on my n4 else i could try it out for you

As long as they are both for your model (N910F) you should be fine, and if you encounter problems you can always reflash the stock firmware with Odin
Thanks for the quick reply.
It is better to speak/write English here
Hope that someone can answer my question, about the Knox
And that i can go to N910FPNH1ANK2_PNH from Vodafone.

Yes: you can flash the PHN-firmware WITHOUT triggering KNOX (because it's official firmware)...
You can download, fast, the update file here (MegaNZ) and install it with Odin 3.0.9
Henk,
Thanks for the nice answer
Also downloaded the file from your link.
Flashing is in process

Can you confirm if the knox triggers or not? Handy to know that for some customers

If you flash OFFICIAL FIRMWARE, KNOX will NEVER triggered!
If you flash CUSTOM firmware, and eventually ROOT your device, the chance is very high that KNOX will be triggered!

PingPong Root?

Does PingPong Root work on the S5 or is it S6 only?
Mate, you've asked the same question over and over, even PMd me asking, you've been told that CF Auto Root will work, no need to keep asking the same thing
Root with CF Auto Root, job done
Ignore firmware numbers, it works for Lollipop

I know it does mate. It's just that this method sounds easier and doesn't void KNOX as far as I'm aware. I know that cf-auto-root will but if there's an easier method that doesn't void it for all intensive purposes I might as well use it.
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Free mobile app
There is no root method for Lollipop that does not void warranty, you will always have 0x1 KNOX rooting Lollipop
