Hi
How do I revert to stock firmware on a rooted s4+ 9506.
I have installed a custom recovery with odin and after that I have rooted my phone. But now I want to go back to stock firmware and most of all I want my status on firmware to change to official.
I have android 4.3 installed and my knox is woid. (0*1)
Thanks

1. Dial *#1234# and you will know ur firmware.
2. Flash through ODIN the same firmware u have and u will recover OFFICIAL state :highfive:
So ther is no problem to just revert?

Hi guys,
What I want to know is how does the Build Number affect me? Mine is JDQ39.i9505ZHUAME1 but other people have different build numbers. I know this is probably a stupid question but i'm asking it anyway.
Will this affect me in terms of loading custom ROMs?
Will the build number be changed when I install a custom ROM?
If it is changed will this affect my ability to use my carrier?
Thanks for the help

Build number may change with diffrnt roms as they myte be using different firmware as a base for roms
It won't affect ur phone in flashing any Rom as long as its for ur varaiant

I rooted my phone and install a custome rom but today I tried to flash back my original rom I backup and tried to update my phone through kies and it says my firmware can't update due to a change in my firmware. My phone is still rooted and I still have a custome recovery install. Is that causing the problem? Sorry I'm new to all this. Thanks.

That's exactly the issue. If your device status is listed as modified, then Kies will not work. You basically forfeit your option to update through that program. I think unrooting would help, or just wait and flash the new 4.3 ROM that will be available soon.
This should have been posted in q&a. It would be helpful to know what specific phone you have. You say you've flashed back to the stock Rom but you still have a custom recovery? How did you flash back to stock?

If you want to restore back to stock and remove the custom recovery you should use Odin. That should let you get the ota firmware upgrade.
So I have to use Odin to put back my original firmware? Also I'm not to sure how to put back Odin to stock recovery.

When you flash the stock firmware with odin it'll put the stock recovery back on at the time. You don't have to do anything special.

You don't flash the backup with odin. Get the stock firmware from sammobile.com for your specific device and carrier.
So I would download Odin to my pc than download and install the original firmware with odin? Do you have a step by step on flashing with odin? Thanks!

The attached guide is not for the i337 but the process is the same. Just don't use any linked files, except for Odin. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26056924

I have a rooted N900 running stock rom, I want to reflash the stock rom, the question is; do I have to unroot first? Or I can flash it right without unrooting
I'm not concerned about warranty and reseting flash binary, I just want to get a clean stock rom again

Hey peeps.
Having a small issue,
So I decided to go back to stock, I download the latest firmware from Sam firmware.
After flashing the firmware I go into the stock recovery to clear cache and wipe data factory reset. I then setup my phone like I would and after checking the status it says that it's custom.
Some background info - I was using a AOSP ROM before flashing the stock firmware and had my SD card during the flashing process.
Anyone have issues like this? Or any solutions?
Thanks.

I had it after updating from German stock rom (DBT) to Xuenc2 (ETL). When I installed the Xuend rom, status came back to official.
So do I have to root and install a NB7 custom ROM before flashing the stock BTU NB7 firmware?

Try Traingle away app then after reseting the counter and binary to official boot directly to download mod then flash stock rom via odin. if didn't work factory reset your device and flash the rom one more time. Hope it helps
