Nope you can no longer downgrade to 4.3 after flashing 4.4.2 stock rom.have a nice day.
So if he flashes a 4.3 ROM via Odin, what would happen? Brick?

Sometimes it is possible to downgrade, but for sure my friend, then u won't have wifi and/or sound

What if he installs a custom 4.3 rom?
Would that work? can he install the custom rom in recovery? or that would brick the phone because of the new bootloader?

downgrade always possible but there are problems
example
sound, calls
can be fixed using a custom kernel, mods, etc.
but this did not benefit
why necessary ? 4.4.2 is better
question is downgrade and reset Knox
it is
everything else is nothing

Rooting and Unrooting

I currently use the official 4.4 KitKat update from LG, and there is a sound issue with it where it makes a sizzling noise when listening to anything. I am thinking of rooting and flashing a custom ROM onto it but I'm worried of getting my warranty void. I want to make sure that when I unroot it that my warranty is restored.

Are you talking about this audio bug ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682189
If yes, it seems LG began to fix it with the last update on vodafone D802 (in the same release wich has the knock code feature). So if you are afraid of root, you can wait for your device update.

If you have a D802, and you are a hurry to fix this bug, you can also flash a kdz with the update. No need root for this.

LG G2 D802 Refurbished/Frankenphone - D800

Need help please.
I've bought LG G2 d802 from local store. After searching through forum I've found it's actually D800 also through opening back cover of my phone i confirmed it was d800.
Now I need to upgrade to Lollipop and have custom rom,
I've read it many threads like
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/strange-touch-problem-upgrading-lg-g2-t2971569
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/issues-refurb-d802-32gb-lg-flashed-t3034823
but none help.
I've tried IOroot to root my phone but not work for me, gives error when "Apply update from ADB"
- Doin' stuff...
set_perm: some changes failed
E: Error in /tmp/update.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted
I also tried one click root someone told me ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951 ) but this also doesn't work.
Any help from someone would be highly appreciated.
Thanks...

Then I'd go to download mode and flash the 20c tot for the D800 since that's what you have. It's posted here on xda, a search will be necessary. It's kitkat and is the newest tot we have to my knowledge. Since you were planning on this being a D802, I'll infer that you're not an AT&T customer so OTA's are not an option. For that reason, and the fact we have nothing newer than a kk tot...once you get to stock, you'll have to root and flash twrp (for the d800) and then flash a custom rom such as Cloudy or similar to get a LP rom. So using the 20c kitkat tot makes life easier since then autorec works for twrp and stumproot also works on 20c I believe.

You don't have root right now so you can't backup your efs. You can and should back it up after flashing the tot and rooting though. I've not heard of people corrupting their efs during the tot flash but anything can happen I suppose. So yeah, the thread you linked should work good. There's also a return to stock thread for the g2 that you can reference. I can't post links well right now being mobile but if you search "LG g2 return to stock" it'll come up first in your Google search results.

Before that you could also try root using SRK tool. Google it and you should find the Xda page.

And how do i know i am going for 32gb version files ?
Yeah that's the thread I was talking about. You can use it as a reference because it has good pic instructs. But at the end of the day, you'll be using the 20c tot from the thread you linked earlier. It is correct for your 32gb phone. All D800 tots are 32gb because all D800's are 32gb.
If it's local store, why don't you just return it and try to get a not frankenphone one if they have it? Worth a shot

Open tot with hexeditor, search for "800". First instance should be full model number followed by s/w version. Edit only that first model from D800 to D802. Save and exit. You may still need the 8974 dll to avoid cross dll error.

I assume that's because you don't have an active AT&T SIM installed. As mentioned, you'll need to get your LP by way of root, recovery and a custom rom. Are you still able to make calls in your current state? If so, you're good. The D800 works globally to my knowledge. Or at least in most regions, not sure about all.

How to update to lollipop?

Hi guys, my sister have LG G2 D802 with unlocked bootloader, root and twrp on her phone, we want to update to lollipop but the OTA never arrived to her so I want to manually update it.

Plus is it possible to update manually with root and custom recovery?

Sorry for not pointing you out and give you proper direction.
Go to the thread and click on the download link provided on KDZ method.
Click on lollipop folder. And click on 32gb since you have a 32gb d802. You will see a list of downloads. Since d802 is international , choose one accordingly. And follow the rest of the instructions on thread to flash it.
