danvdh's version is also great, no problems installing and running. Camera works well too.

Danvdh's ROM is by fat the smoothest and most stable for me.

I'm using jamal's rom for two weeks now and got two minor bugs. Twitcasting app doesn't work in stock kernel. But I installed Alucard's one and now it's OK. But another more annoyance thing happened 4 times or so: the screen in which you accept or decline incoming calls vanished when receiving one call and I wasn't able to open it anymore. Only after rebooting the device.

Does Danvdh's rom works nice in any GS4? It says in the post that this rom supports only Canadian and T-mobile variants. My GS4 is from Brazil.

Of course there is an untouched GE 4.3 ROM. Just download it from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2395030
It's from the i9505 forum, but it is the same phone, and works fine. I am running it myself.
Just make sure you already have a custom recovery on the i337 first. I prefer CWM because it auto loki's your ROMs for you.

Question about dialer dialer not hanging up.

Has anybody run into this problem (or something similar) :
Slim: I changed over to omnirom and when I press hang up the hang button greys out and it reads "hanging up" in the bar across the top but does not end the call.
Details:
SPH-L720
Android 4.4.2
Baseband Mdc
Kernel 3.4.75 omnirom stock
Omni version 4.4.2-20131225-jfltespr-nightly
I'm running mdc modem for a domestic unlock to tmobile and can upgrade to mf9 and keep the unlock. I've had this combo working 100% in Sacs rom before as well.
I've tried several different dialer apps from the play store
I've tried the post install flash zip from Omni
I've wiped the data and cache of the app itself and rebooted
I've wiped data, cache and dalvik , factory reset and rebooted
I need some advice on how to use logcat to properly log the details of the phone APK and how to read or interpret those logs and if that is even the best way to diagnose the problem.
I will also try to reinstall via odin the MDC modem only or possibly move up to mf9 if that doesn't work. I figure that the reinstall or upgrade paired with a fresh reset might do the trick.
Other than that any ideas are welcome.

No dice, I upgraded the modem to mf9 and it still won't hang. I can force it to hang by switching to airplane mode tho as a temp fix.

Word brother, I rolled it back to sacs v8 and it got me going for all calls etc. I was really just beating my head against the wall trying to use an aokp or aosp rom instead of toichwiz bit I can live with sacs rom for sure. Are you saying you did the full modem upgrade to mk2?if so I'd think that would work with KitKat roms, does it not?
I had this problem and it was an xposed module causing it. If you run any xposed modules you might want to check there.

[Q] [Help] LG G2 D800 Won't Rotate

So, i have the LG G2 D800 and the Gyroscope works fine since i bought it, custom roms rotated fine but recently ANY Rom i flash doesn't rotate, ran some tests and the Gyro stays at 0,0,0 when i flash the d80010c to 20d kitkat stock from LG it rotates and the tests go from -1,0,2 and so on and so forth.
I don't want LG's UI, but i also want rotation, if you guys can help, please. I recorded it also just today, sorry for bad quality.

0:06 - Cyanogenmod 10.2 [SLIM GAPPS] 4.3.1
4:15 PAC-ROM [PA_GAPPS] 4.4.2
11:40 LG G2 KitKat Flashable rom [Stock] 4.4.2
Simply download and flash this modem. Your rotation will be working just fine afterwards. Make sure to make a backup of your current baseband or if when/if you ever flash back to stock you wont have rotation with the stock rom lol. Simple fix

The modem you need to get rotation working depends on the custom rom you are using!
If you are using a custom rom that is based on LG's KitKat Source (e.g. Mahdi Rom, Slim Kat has now started with test builds) you need a non-modded KitKat modem version.
If you are using a Kit-Kat Custom rom, but which is based on LG's JellyBean Sources you need a moded Kitkat modem version to get rotation working.
Which custom are you using at the moment?
The moded versions can be found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705509

You are right, I haven't read properly. But I think just providing people with download links doesn't help them at all.
For myself i want to know why these problems appear and why these issues can be solved by flashing this specific file.

Well no one had replied to his post and that was in March so I thought you would appreciate a quick fix. I usually like to explain my reasoning behind suggesting a link to download a file and what it's going to do and how exactly its going to fix your problem and what has happened in the first place so the user not only gets an answer or ultimately a solution he is now is knowledgeable on the subject for future reference.

I noticed that is for a D800. Which one is for KiTKat D80220D Stock ROM? I was trying to get LTE and flashed a modem but lost rotation. I need to get back to the original D80220D modem. Thanks.

That is not going to work for a D802. The only way to fix this is to flash back to stock (fully). I did that an amazingly lost nothing except root. I was proud of myself. Then in the process of trying to regain root I lost everything...ouch! I completely forgot about how i originally got root while in JB an and still had the old iroot files. It was a disaster.

Hi, the link you had provided is no longer active. Is it possible for you to update that please? I am facing this problem currently and your post appears like the best answer around. I intend to try out your method, however that can be possible if you can update the URL for downloading and flashing the modem.

[Q] Telus S5 root questions and compatibility with alliance rom.

Hello.
Well i thought i had a fairly good idea about rooting mods and bloatware. I was wrong. The more i read the more i find myself unsure of what i should do. I belive this is a lack of experiance and ability to understand the information i am reading. I have no doubt that everything i need to know is readily available on these forums. But I am feeling pretty gunshy.
So I am wondering for the most part what is the best way to get rid of the bloatware on my telus S5. What is safe to get rid of and what isnt. I have a feeling the best way to do this is to flash a rom. I have decided i would try the alliance rom found in a thread hear :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716535&page=19 Is this a viable rom for my phone 900W8. Will this take care of most of the bloatware? Is there any steps other then 1:root 2:flash rom? these are the parts i am finding unclear. sorry for the noobishness. I have read almost everything i can find about the whole procedure but find myself confused. I have used odin before on my old S2X but surely havent used it for a very long time.
Thanks for reading and any help would be greatly appreciated. Have been a member hear since i rooted the s2x and the community is great.
Cheers

Hi - what instructions did you follow to root it and can you please provide a link to the rom you're using?
I'm very interested in doing this to my telus s5 as well - but I find the S5 sections on XDA to be far more disjointed than for other phones I've done this to in past years so I don't want to follow the wrong instructions or flash an incompatible rom.
please post a link to the rooting instructions that worked for your telus S5 and to the rom you found that runs on your telus S5
thanks so much!
Cheers
I used twrp for recovery and did a Google search for the guide I found. I forget where it was but will look and report back. I have had the best luck on omega rom. Having said that I have tryed them all and they where all good. Omega just worked best for me. As for kernels I liked the arkenstone. I am currently on blaze v8 and letting it settle in to test battery. Sorry for dished answer my kids are keeping me busy but if you pm mei will go do some searching.

Last time I checked, aosp Roms don't work with the i337 because of the locked boot loader. And last time I checked we don't have a root method (this could have very well changed, I was off for a month or two) for NB1 4.4. If you were to do a work around you may be able to get black box working but I'm not sure.

You can get BlackBox 3.0 to work.
Follow Deadly Venom KitKat Magic Tool (DVKMT) thread to partial downgrade to MK2. Root using saferoot. Follow DVKMT to install BlackBox3.0. More in All things AT&T MK2 and NB1
Note: With BB3.0, gmail and camera will FC. To solve this, uninstall them using titanium backup and install the latest from play store.
There are other ROMs that have AOSP options.
1. FoxHound v4.6.1
2. GoldenEye v29 with Domination v2.1 theme
3. ChaosRom v2.5.2
