New to android world, need screen licker app

Hi,
am new to android world, i've baught my galaxy a few days ago,
my basic rom not bad, but i hate the lock.
Is there any way to change it
I've tryed miui locker, it's not that good i feel it's laggy
Any suggetion?

but now seriously you have tons of this kind of apps: widget locker, goto lockscreen, go launcher with go locker, lock 2.o etc.

I've tried go launcher locker, it's really good.
then i see a good video learn me how to install a new rom, then i installed MIUI

Actually i've tried MiLocker, but it feels a little laggy some times
While the same program with base rom is very different,
Maybe it's the rom much better from the official one.

Download a launcher like apex, in that you can take it away like any other widget.

Apex IS the stock launcher but more user friendly.

aurora is AOSP based rom. AOSP roms dont have this kind of customization.
or you cook the rom and add tweaks (dont know how to do lol) or install another launcher (apex, nova, adw).

Keeping stock quick settings app (farthest left home screen) with new launcher?

IS it possible? I haven't tried, i just want a launcher to change the icons really.. but i want that settings app. Thanks.

Try the desktop visualizer app with stock launcher. I don't know of anyway to keep the quick settings with a custom launcher

Well, do you know of any launchers perhaps that might have a similiar widget/home screen? I know theres the power control bars and such.. but I don't want.

I just installed the stock launcher available here on XDA and it has the quick settings and also the circle widget can be used with any rom// I'm at work so cant give you a link but its on here

well can i use it without rooting my phone?
I might just install a new launcher, whats best? Nova, GO or ADW?

Not sure what that means, assuming we all have it with base phone, how do you access it if you change launcher?

It may be me misunderstanding. I'm thinking of using the stock launcher with a different rom,.You download the launcher just like any other app then click on ot to install it. Its on here in either the Razr M forum or the Android apps forum. I can't remember its been a while since i downloaded it.

I tried using apex and it was pretty laggy. Nova is a lot better so far but one out of maybe every 30 times I exit a app to go to the homescreen the motoblur stock launcher appears instead of nova until I go to a new screen. Kinda Annoying. Any idea how to fix?
Can I change the color of the status bar icons like the battery, signal strength and time? without root?

Well yeah nova IMO is a little smoother but apex has free gestures. And no idea about ur launcher problem never heard of that before sorry. And ugh the only way I know of to do it is metamorph which requires root. You can try super status bar. I Know it allows custom layout of items in the bar with a change of color per user preference but not sure on the icons. Try it out

S4 TW Launcher

Does anyone have the 5x6 launcher for tis S4 ???

Check out Nova Launcher - it will do 5x6 and much more.......

Most 3rd party launchers allow custom grid sizes in both the home screen and app drawer. But I agree, a version of TW which increases the grid size in the homescreen would be nice. It would effect widgets though, as there would be no resize option.

Nova allows resizing of widgets - it's a really good, snappy launcher that isn't a battery hog.

Again, the majority of 3rd party launchers allow widget resizing. The problem with a hacked version of TW to allow changes in homescreen gridsize is that it there is no widget resize option natively, which will cause widgets to sit off center or simply look wrong.

Love to fit more icons in 5" screen. Some apps provide widgets in different sizes (1x1, 2x1, 3x1, etc).

[Q] Hide app icon but keep the app enabled and launch-able?

Is there any app / way to achieve this? There are two many apps that I do not launch on a regular basis which I do not want to appear in the App Menu but keep the app available to launch when required using Swapp or any other Gesture App Launcher like GMD. My Nexus 4 is rooted. I have tried few apps to hide but I am unable to launch them while hidden.

Many third-party launchers have the ability to hide apps (nova, apex, action) from the app drawer. If you wish to run one of these hidden apps, simply search for it-either in the launcher's search or with Google now.

Sorry, forgot to mention.. If possible I would like to avoid third party launchers. I am happy with the stock launcher.

Stock launcher doesn't have this option. If you want to hide icons, you have to get a third party one. Sorry.
