There is already a thread open on Motorola forum, you can comment there:

No need to complain also in the store because quality isn't releated to the Motorola camera app (which is pretty good, even better with the new update) but to the firmware. More precisely, there could be a better management for low light conditions, for example tweaking the denoise level / algorithm
Could someone extract (new version 3.2.14.4) .apk file from their phone? I will be grateful.
Commented at moto support forum, too. The indian moto g owners would add more pressure on moto for a possible and faster fix.

The reviews comparing camera quality to other devices are pretty hilarious. One guy complaining that his $500 s4 takes better pics and another thinking for some reason it's crazy that his $225 ipod touch takes better pictures. I don't know how much you guys paid for your moto g, but the camera is pretty good for the money to me.

Gotta tell you that you're incompetent dude, sorry. That app was pulled off /data/app and posted as it is.
Either prove its has been modified by ANY way or gtfo ok?
The public key used can be found inside the app as CERT.RSA and it can be verified by downlaoding the app off the Play Store and run corss-check for MD5/Figreprint used to sign it.
so much randoms posting in these forums, gosh :<
I paid $120 for an lenovo a820, no flash, but those pictures are far superior to the Moto G's in it's current state.
True, the Moto G is a bit better on many levels, but the cam sensor is capable of much more I tell you.

Whoa....calm down, dude!! There's absolutely no need to get defensive. I never even suggested that you may have been the one to resign the apk, and I never said anything was changed beyond the signature. So please don't jump to conclusions and start attacking me for no reason. I downloaded the apk myself, and when I tried to install it over the one I had installed previously it gave me an install error, the exact same as if the apk had been resigned. Since this is the only circumstance that message appears, I came to the conclusion it was resigned. If you have proof it's genuine all you have to do is present it, I will humbly accept that I made an error, and we can all enjoy the app. My only intention was to keep anyone from installing anything that could possibly contain some nasty stuff. I never meant to attack anyone or accuse anyone of anything, so if you took it that way, I apologize you were offended, but you took it the wrong way.

As long as it is indeed a n7000 u can get the official rom updates here and the awsome roms from the devs. I am using a german note with hk rom and getting hk rom updates via kies . No problem at all.

That review is not correct.
I just received that exact phone last week, from Amazon. Each Galaxy Note has a region code to indicate where it came from (Mine was from the UAE). This code can be changed to any region you want. This will allow for a stock upgrade to ICS, when it comes out.
Also, just like the previous poster said, you can root and put any rom you want on your Note.
I am running the stock ICS beta, from January. For me, it is awesome. I am running at 213 DPI which gives me the tablet mode look.

So you neither discredit nor credit what is posted on xda and Amazon reviews nor do you place credibility on the opinions or facts of those places above what you personally believe which is based off the things you read which may or may not have any significant validity as to its claims, which is still eclipsed by the fact that you take everything with "a grain of salt" that is on the internet, which is the place you have come to with a question seeking an answer.
I think you should meet with an authority figure who you can't discredit, in person (to eliminate the internet factor), so you can get the facts.
I know the perfect person, he can be found in a mirror.
P.S. stay free
It'll get updated to ICS. Don't worry. But it will be layered with TouchWiz. In this year, Samsung will not be stupid enough to cut the cord on a 3 month old device. That would be pure suicide. The PR nightmare.
Basically true. My conclusions is derived from all the information I've gathered with consideration of credibility of the various sources.

Samsung has deceived the consumers.
Galaxy s3 is using two different camera modules.
One with Sony module which is the same used on iphone 4s
and it is superior quality.
The other one is the Samsung module which is crap.
The Sony module went to reviewers in order to advertise the product.
Because of shortage of supply the rest of phones were equipped with the
Samsung module.
Those phones went to retailers and to the majority of customers.
And that's a SCAM!
Evidence? My cameras great

Nope.
Two different firmwares stored in kernel. A model comparison is done when camera is accessed and the correct firmware is loaded (either from camera itself or kernel depending on which is the latest).

Hi guys!!
With the holidays comes the vacation, so I got nothing to do and went back to clean my cases without success. using the MotoCare app, I asked how to know the right way and which products to use for such cleaning.
My surprise was that, in minutes, the support from Motorola called me, confirmed my address, and will soon be sending out new back cover for free (only colors that are difficult to clean, white and green) and voila, just like that.
so I receive will post pictures of the new capes. if someone got this too, or wanna try contact the support, reply this thread to all people know how much the company cares about you

its not dust. This is the matt finish on the plastic being polished out by use. I expect you made it worse by cleaning/rubbing.
It is not 'normal' by which I mean it should NOT happen or at least those photos should be the result of a years use, not a couple of weeks!!
I clean my Moto g with baby wipes and they work great. I would love a new color for the back though.

In that case, its not normal. It would normally take months, or some real torture for it to look like that. Four days of use shouldn't cause that, even if you treated it like absolute ****e.
I wear my phones out pretty damned quickly, they usually barely last a year. But I've never seen that sort of wear after just four days.

Lol that's the price we pay for having an Android phone.
If you think it's bad on Android, you'll laugh at how often the Windows phones get updated (never).
No, it was not that bad with my old nexus.
I have to admit one thing: my moto x 2014 is by far from a pure hardware point of view the best smartphone I ever had.
But from a pure software point of view I'm overly deceived. Moto has made a lot of publicity of themselves arguing they are the best at providing updates in a small timeframe, but they never respected their own claims.
If in future I have to choose between an OK smartphone with stellar software support and a stellar smartphone with no guarantee of software updates ( especially monthly security updates ) I will for sure choose the first one.
But yes, other than that Moto X Force looks good
