As the title would suggest, I've recently noticed an issue with the Youtube app.
If I remove update and use the old version, it loads ok and I can play videos in the app. If I get an external app to launch it to play a video, it will FC.
When upgrading to the latest version the app will FC every time it is launched. I've cleared the data and cache from the app but it still does it.
Using stock rom 4.2.2 , rooted with xposed installed.
would "force" uninstalling the app and installing it from the store make a difference?
All help is appreciated.
Youtube crashing here also
Yes this has started yesterday for me. Running CM11 M4. I have wiped and tried the M3, same issue. Tried a different version of gapps that includes youtube as a system app, same issue. Back to a clean install of the CM11 M4 and the app crashes every time within one second of opening it. I'm out of options. Youtube works in a browser, but I cannot use the app.
Thank God it's not just me then. I guess we will have to wait for another update. The app is a POS anyway.

I also installed it on my DHD
Sometimes it crashes my browser, also it wont report that 10.2 is installed when I check adobe's support site it says that I have 10.1.92 installed.
Tried reboots, reinstalling it etc...
I got that too, the comments in the Market show the same. Most users are fine though.
I got a Froyo Sense rom running, & 480p in youtube is running perfectly in Miren browser. Before it used to jerk every 10-15 seconds.
ive uninstalled the latest flash back to 10.1 but now flash pages dont load
Try uninstalling again, reboot, and install from the .apk again.

I also have some issues with flashplayer.. even with 10.1. When i watch a video in the browser (480p) it works fine for the first time (no lags, cpu is at about 80% @1ghz), but when i restart my browser it starts to lag like hell... even on 1.8ghz and only 360p(dunno the exact pixels)
Any sollution for that?
Edit: tried revo hd 3.2, leedroid 2.2 and core droid 3.2. Did a fullwipe every time and always the same result. Also tried some kernels i had before. I knoe that it worked some days/weeks ago.
I've no clue what's going on here.

hi,just discovered this afternoon that my subscriptions on my youtube account arent being displayed. I keep getting this message "No subscription". The same applies to the Youtube app on my mobile phone. I checked the web version and they were actually present (Subscriptions). Does anyone have this same issue? I cleared the cache and data but still not showing my subscriptions.
Hi. I have the same issues with my A500. Even crashes all the time. Really upset. Will try to flash another ROM.

It seems like maybe te app has lost your login info. Try going into Setting > Applications, and open the YouTube settings and clear data. When you open the YouTube app again, it should attempt to log you back into your correct Google account.
Same here, clearing data did'nt work. In the carousel it shows a couple of my subscription edit: (well they are just recommendation) videos the rest is all random junk. Are you guys on the new Epiphany rom?
I'm on stock Honeycomb and I've cleared settings, cache and data gut still the same issue.

Flashing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21339100&postcount=67 youtube fix with cwm did the trick for me on epiphany rom. It should work for you.

Ummmm no, just the fix. If you're using a non-deodexed ROM you'll need to delete your YouTube apk and odex then flash the fix via CWM.
The app seem to have corrected itself. Now the Carousel displays all my subscriptions, the same goes for the widget

I saw other people have problem with google play at this thread
when google play update to version 3.7.13 and can't download app from play store.Who can solve this problem?
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34238
you can find the method in thread
I think you have the same problem here :

Not working cause play stroe will automatic update to 3.7.13 and the problem coming again.
With the Rom Slim Ics, there is a fix to avoid the playStore update.
The play store does not like the modifcation of DPI, it is maybe the problem
Not exactly same here
I manually downloaded google play store 3.7.13 from apktop and installed it to my Sgs running GamerzRom Ninja v11 JW5 and to my tf300t tablet running stock us.30 firmware.
At sgs there was no problem and i can download everything but on Tf300t couldn't download anything.
Installed the previous google play store which for me was 3.5.19 and no downloads. Wiped data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache didn't solve the problem at all.
Had to do a fresh install of the latest firmware (us.30) and then installed the 3.7.13 and worked.
Hope they find what is happening to prevent us from future problems.
Same problem here. Tried anything I could think of but the latest google play version won't install/update apps no matter what.
Edit: Apparently google is aware of the problem and working on a fix:
Download issues on Samsung Galaxy S Plus devices running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
We've gotten some reports that users with Samsung Galaxy S Plus devices running Android OS version 2.3 (Gingerbread) are having trouble using Google Play. We're aware of this issue, and we're currently working to resolve it.
As a temporary workaround until we fix the problem, you can uninstall updates to the Google Play app by following these steps:
Tap Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage
applications
Find the ""All"" tab
Scroll down to Play Store and tap to select
Tap "Uninstall updates"

I installed the 3.5 version, cleared data and cache and it hasn't updated to 3.7 yet. Can't be sure it won't do it later though.
Yesterday it was updating immediately , now I have the original version all the time (i'm opening Store very often just to check).

I have also the same problem. And I think uninstalling updates doesn't fix it because it will again update automatically.
I also found deleting cache would help, but hasn't worked for me.
Hope, Google will fix it fast (already 10 updates missing )

Did you try recently if it auto update? For me it looks like they (google) freeze autoupdate until they solve problem. I have 3.5.19 version since morning.

Thx for your help
Edit: It has now auto-updated to 3.4.7, but still able to update / install
i had the same problem (error 905) but after a few days the problem was gone without doing anything.

No problem appeared for me , the playstore updates automatically and nothing strange happened !
Today, I got an auto-update to 3.7.15. I'm from Germany.
Now I can see a progress bar in the app, including size already downloaded / full size
Hey guys,
got a problem. I've installed CM 10.1 M1, and flashed 201212 Gapps. Everything is working fine, except the voice search. When I click on the mic, for example in Google Now, Voice search and Google now, closes. Got the same problem on AOKP.
Whats the problem!?

HELP!
There's some kind of user error going on here. I've experienced zero problems and have never seen this reported in the CM10.1 thread.
Well, it's a "normal" problem when flashing the gapps. Normally the only thing you've to do, is to install the update through the market. However, it's really strange that you don't see the update on the market.
Maybe someone could upload the .apk for you. Unfortunately I'm currently unrooted so i can't do it.
Did you flash the official gapps from goo.im? Here's the link if you need it. http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip

Yes, I've flashed the official gapps from your link, but thanks anyway.
The problem is now solved! The update appeared in the market, and solved the problem.

had the problem of it force closing, then flashed the next cm10.1 nightlies and it opens but still no voice search..
updated in play store and still nothing.. i have since realised that its not only the google now app. but all voice dictation/search apps..
no soundcloud.voicerecorder. voice typing in swiftkey. none of its recognising anything.. but calls work. which is a plus
anybody able to shed some light on what i can do?
its a note 2 n7105lte on cm10.1 nightlies.
thanks..
I don't know if that'll help you, but I just got mine working by updating the app "Google Search" in the Play Store. The "Voice Search" app had been up to date prior to that, but it still wouldn't work.
All fixed after next nightlies
