Conversation Recorder.

Im using PPC2003pe. Does anybody know of a method of recording a phone call easily. Could be quite handy when I need to refer back to something
When you're on a call, click the 'Note' icon and then the 'Cassette Tape' icon and choose record. It worked for me.

Call Waiting

Hello all,
In smart phones such as nokia when I call a person and that person is already in call with somebody else a message appear on the screen with word "waiting" with beep sound notifying that I am in waiting status for that person.
I would like to ask if anybody knows about how it is possible to activate that feature in HTC P3600 either by software or upgrade?

Get your phone dialler showing and go to menu>options>services, tap on call waiting then tap on get settings. After it gets the settings it will come up with 'Phone: Call Waiting' screen, make sure that the 'Notify me' is tapped press ok and thats it!

Thanks boz but this is not what I mean, this feature I already activated it.
Now assume that I am person "A" and there are person "B" and "C", what you told is a notification will appear if I am already in call with "B" and "C" call me, a sound will come up in my device telling that "C" is on another line.
What I need in if "B" is already in call with "C" and I "A" call "B", a sound should come up in my device telling that I am "A" is in waiting status for "B" (B is on call and A is waiting).
It is a little bit confusing but I need that feature to be activated.
Thanks a lot.
It is not possible as far as I know and I am not aware of any third party software that can do this, sorry.

why don't i have the in call curtain? please help!

hi,
i received my blackstone some days ago and am wondering why i don't have the in-call curtain (slide down while in call for functions like end call / turn speaker on / notes / etc.) that usually comes with the blackstone?
can anyone help?
Because the Blackstone doesn't have such a curtain (also if i second you: would be great to have it
Dont have a curtain, but when you answer the call, below the caller's photo you should see two rows of three buttons each .........
Top row :
1) Hold
2) Add Call (to conference another call)
3) Note (launch the notes application)
Second row :
1) Mute
2) Speaker
3) Contacts
Below all of these you have the big red rectangle "End Call" button ....
These stay on screen until you end the call. Screen may fade (if you have power save features) but you can always re-illuminate with a short tap of the power button on top of the phone.
This has all the features you need, except that it is not a "curtain" that slides on and off.
Hope this helps !!

Did you previously have a Diamond? I recall that, in some of the later cooked Diamond ROMs, a phone screen curtain was introduced, and that this was sometimes said to have come from the HD (not sure if it really was from a pre-release version of the HD, as I am not a cook). I also recall that there were many requests for the "slide to answer" function of the HD, and that these two items seemed to get confused. I think this may be why you were expecting a curtain in the HD, which, as far as I know, has never been there.
Hope this explains things, and the phone curtain is a great feature IMVHO
I replaced a rom on my wifes diamond and this had the curtain. personally I like it. on the HD your cheek knocks the screen often muting the call or similar.....

[Req] How to disable instant dialing while inside call history?

One problem that's becoming a royal pain with this hd2, is that whenever I am inside call history, for whatever reason, half of the time I end up dialing a number by mistake because my finger slightly touches the screen on a random entry and the software decides to call that number.
Most of the times I manage to press the "end call" button, but on other occasions I just can't make it in time.
You can imagine how this can be bothersome both for the wasted money, and for the called person.
I searched the whole forums to find something that even remotely could help me in this but surprisingly to no avail, so maybe someone can direct me to a app/workaround that prevents the call history from triggering a direct dialing as soon as an entry is touched?
This is just a work-around and not a permanent solution... what i usually do is scroll by moving my fingers vertically on the extreme right side of the screen (along the contact details icon), that way, you bring up the contact details accidentally instead of dialing mistakenly.
You can also try the 'decrease screen sensitivity' cab and see if that helps.

yes, I noticed cliking the right icon brings up the detailed call history for that contact... but it's the random touches that create the danger, because you don't see what's happening, you just feel the phone vibrating when the line is up, and that's a problem
Decreasing sensitvity may be a good idea as well, if I wasn't fine with the normal sensitivity of the phone (actually I'd like something even more sensitive sometimes...)

Get rid of the annoying full screen caller id

Like the your new G4 but can't stand that every time someone calls you, there is a full screen, in your face caller id screen? What if you are busy in an app? Tough. You just have to answer the call or ignore it.
Well, that can all be changed. Remember back in KK there was a much smaller caller id that popped up and you could answer the call, decline the call, decline with a message or ... swipe that screen out of your way! Well, you can have that back again and you don't need anything special. Just tap your dialer app. Once there, make sure you are on the 'Dial' or 'Recent' tabs. Hit the 3 buttons in the top right corner, select "Call settings" and then towards the bottom of that menu there is an option called "Incoming voice call pop-up" which is unchecked by default. Just tap the box to add the check mark and back out of there. (Side note. Scroll farther down in these settings and you will find the Gestures that are missing from the phones settings screen. Flip to silence and bring the phone to your ear to answer are hidden away in here.) Now when you get a call and you are in an app or game, instead of the full screen, in your face, can't move the sombitch, window, there is a much smaller pop up that we all love and remember from KK. When you get a call, you can answer, decline with a message, or just decline. But there is also the beloved swipe that thing outta my face before (insert anecdote here) happens, in which case the ringer will be silenced and the pop up will just slide out of your view.
Hope this helps alleviate some of the frustration with your new phone until we can get root and REALLY change the way things happen on our phones.
(BTW. I make no guarantee that your variant has the option described above. But I'm fairly positive that the option will be there.)
You can access the Call Settings directly from the Settings Menu, too (at least on the unlocked variant of the G4). Just go to Settings ยป Calls.

Unfortunately doesn't look like it's in the Sprint variant.

Oh nice find. This was on the G2... then disappeared. I don't know why it is always turned off by default. It is a really nice feature.
I am using Verizon btw
When I first got my G4 it asked me to tap it to my old phone to transfer settings, so this setting must have transferred from my G2 to the G4 automatically.
