If you used the 4.2.2 GPe RUU from the development subforum to turn your carrier One into a GPe One, it will also receive this update OTA. Mine (AT&T HTC One) just did.

I think I'm gonna go flash the RUU, update, then flash recovery and root. Should be good for a while that way.

Someone needs to post the ROM for thou use that can't convert.

I asked this in the kernel thread, but i'll ask here - did they add anything to remove the menu bar on non-properly designed apps? So like, the swipe up/longpress functionality we have w/ sense?

If I get the update, I will. I just went and flashed the RUU but so far it's still telling me I'm up to date.

I agree with the others guys. I have my S-OFF running super CID (all 1's) but I don't really want to go through all the trouble just yet. A rom would be extremely welcomed at this point. I realize it just came out, but we're all impatient people if you can't tell lol.

This is my first Android OTA experience, and I have an AT&T HTC One that I converted to GPe -- at least it would seem I did.
I'm tapping check for update like a crackhead and rebooting lol. Fingers crossed.

Nothing is working for me to forced the update. Tried cleaning framework data and cache and restarting. Guess I'll just have to wait. Boo

Neat, converting my 4.4 gpe edition back to a dev edition now! Longest i've ever been on AOSP on this phone. Really started to miss Sense though. Let me know if anyone gets the update!

HTC met their own target then when solely in control, good work.
Google and the encryption issue to blame for short GPE delay.

aaaah oke, thanks mate. i think a little excited

Man, converting back from a GPE was a hassle! First my pc couldn't connect to my fastboot device (damn you windows 8.1!), So I had to use an old win7 laptop. Then the RUU wouldn't work. Figured I had to flash an older HBOOT. Didn't work because I have a locked bootloader (s-off though). Then I tried unlocking the bootloader through HTCdev. Didn't work, turn out the GPE edition just uses a different command to unlock. Didn't work either! I had to use some weird tool from XDA and it finally unlocked my bootloader.
Then the ruu zip I downloaded was corrupted! Now I need to download the entire 1.1 gig file of HTC's slow 20kb/s servers again :crying:

Yeah total re convertion to Sense was abit of a pain lol.. downgraded of hbot then run two ruu files to get back on 4.3 and then flash latest firmware and a custom rom. This time i will just wait for some dev to get a rom out instead of all the extra work to get back on stock.

It shouldn't, and I'm sure it probably won't this time, but many soak testers did brick on stock JB builds through the normal OTA last December (and, strangely, Verizon distributed to non-testers right away, so it affected quite a few people.)

i just wanna know if its gonna have the white status bar and the new dialer basicly.

I wish I knew how to update rooted 4.4 (kept form 4.2.2 by instruction on xda). I do not care too much about preserving root because I have bootloader unlocked now.

You need to backup your apps and contacts, then flash back to factory image. Take the OTA, flash TWRP recovery, you will able to have root again.

We will find out soon, but David Schuster of Motorola said the icons were white about a month ago on Google+. He didn't say anything about the dialer. When somebody asked if it would be 4.4.2 or 4.4.3he said don't worry,we've got you covered. Implying, I guess, that it is 4.4.3 or that any bugs fixed in 4.4.3 for the nexus are already fixed in the update.

If you're referring to the dialer with search funtionality, I believe that is still exclusive to the Nexus 5 (natively, of course there's sideload options).

It's 4.4.2, 4.4.3 doesn't officially exist yet.

It hasn't been released and isn't in AOSP. It doesn't exist. Clearly I'm not saying it won't but there's no chance we get something that hasn't been released yet.

Where does the OTA update zip file get saved? I will try to set it aside. Is it OK to just copy it to another folder like Media on the phone's internal memory?

Holy rookie statement, Batman!! It will fail, won't 'take'. Put SuperSU in survival mode to keep. Reflashed original recovery, and my unlocked bootloader droid Maxx took the update with flying colors, held root.

Verizon's implementation of voLTE on the x2 has dropping call issues. Do any know if this could also?

So its installed. Volte is enabled in phone info, but the dialer is the same and I can't find any toggles. I also don't have anyone to call with volte

my droid maxx is unlocked by the china middle man and rooted. the root didnt vanish, even than i installed that update...

root remains, bootloader unlock remains. However i am now stuck at the droid splash screen. any ideas how to recover to boot into os?

please dont do that, wait for the final version.

Just remember if you screw up anything with this there is no f x z available to fix it. Just be careful.

Fxz back to the previous update using house of moto and save data option. Then apply the update again. You can do this because your bootloader is unlocked.

Am I the only one who can't find any VoLTE settings on the phone and get an error from Verizon that my phone isn't compatible with VoLTE (maxx)? Seems silly to release a soak no one can test. Install went fine, what am I missing?

Verizon or moto totally f'd up this soak. Verizon had no idea about it and the option on there site to opt in to volte won't be available until tomorrow morning after 6am I think. The volte toggle will appear once you opt in from what I'm told.

I am stock, never rooted or unlocked. No way to get update short of waiting on an ota or for someone to pull and post the soak test zip.

Flashed zip from op to stock 4.4.4, runs fine. Can't find volte though.

Can't Root Droid RAZR M

I am at my wit's end with this...2 days ago I deleted a picture from my phone which I did not wan't to delete, it was an accident. I researched the subject some, but all programs that could recover said photo required my phone to be rooted. I tried to use Towel Root, but it said my device was not supported. Later I found a program called MotoChopper. It had a .bat, an .apk for superuser and some other files. I got it to run fine with my phone, but after it would complete the rooting, it would say failure. It would then reboot my phone with superuser installed. When I opened superuser it asked me to update it. Upon clicking the recovery install button or just the install button it said it could not update and that something was wrong. Programs that required a rooted phone did not work either., and programs that can recover photos without a rooted phone cost money, My Android version is 4.4.2 and yes I enabled the USB settings in developer options so no that is not the problem. Can someone please help me, its driving me crazy... I am on system version 183.46.15.XT907

What system version are you on? This is different than Android version.
