I don't think it supports PS3 controller since there is no OTG support in Grand 2.

Go to settings.. tethering... click on check box usb tethering..

1. First install Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones. If you didn't have one, just google for it or search this forum.
2. Connect your phone to pc using usb cable.
3. Goto settings> wireless and network settings> tethering and portable hotspot, then click usb tethering and you are done.
4. Enjoy internet on your pc.

I have a Toshiba 500 GB HD USB 3.0 which i formatted as exFAT and now i can easily connect to my SGS4 GT-I9500 through USB OTG.
Now my question is can i connect 1TB HD with the same procedure without any extra power connection to HD?
Please note that i am on rooted stock room (MEA).

It should work as its if the hard drive works without power will work here also

It won't work, due to the power consumption of the external HDD. You should have an info, that the conected device won't work.
Well my Samsung 1tb disk works just fine - as it did with S3 before.

Just now I connect with 1TB western digital HD usb 3.0 file format ntfs. And its worknig. I use persue kernel alpha 2.1. I mount with "Usb OTG Helper" and es exploer. On stock file manager after using some time geting not responding.

I have a laptop hdd (2.5") strapped to the back of my phone to be used on the go.
But if the hdd you have is 3.5" then it will work if you use external power. Id suggest u use ext4 instead of exfat.

Is wifi direct able to detect the other device to which u want to share a file ????
Yup.. Both devices can detect and connect to each other except sending files.

Ok it is working(on conditions) now after reflashing 4.3 using odin
"Conditions" are that the other device is strictly to be crapsung and currently running 4.2.2+(touchjizz rom) android verion

Wifi direct will only work with samdung devices. Yse ES file explorer if one of the device is non samsung

MHL isn't supported by s3neo.

Hello,i'd like to ask if there is any way to use the usb bus drivers of S3 to my S3neo
I have rooted the phone and i would like to ask if it is possible to force the phone to provide power to the otg cable.I know that it might be a hardware thing ,but without even rooting the phone,the otg drivers where installed.
So maybe it is possible.I already know for the Y cable i have made one but it is not handy on the road!thanks in advanve

1- its an amazing device and I love it
2- it supports otg "u can make sure using otg checker apk"
3- it doesnt read otg due to kernel stuff and I have been searching for kernels all day long but nothing so far
4-your choice is really good and its no big deal if it doesnt read otg cable

I know it supports but when on the road you need to have a power bank for the Y cable i have made that is why i am trying to find the drivers to enable the bus.
It s a great phone so if you could find a kernel please post it and i will try it!thank you

just google : how to make a y cable & fallow instruction
then install usb otg helper & stick mount

yes i made a Y cable {making a Y cable is so easy you need an otg cable & usb cable}
my s3 neo{i9301i} mounts 1 TB external hard in a few seconds

yes, it does support OTG. You have to connect the usb with an OTG Y cable.
As simple as that

i got the new update (5.0) for my yoga but every time trying to update i got failed msg (my tablet was rooting)
so i removed the root and trying again to update but i got same msg
