read first before u attempt it :good:

I wouldn't be too high on kitkat yet. D800 and D802 have an annoying Bluetooth battery bug where you get a high battery usage value (for me it was 18%). I downgraded back to 4.2.2 until the Googs fixes it. It IS a kitkat bug bc 4.2.2 doesn't have it. Someone said it was caused by google play services. The wakelock time on my bluetooth value was 7 hrs and 41 mins and I went from 7-9 hours on screen time to 3. Not good.

I'm too lazy to backup & unroot & back to stock to get 1.7mb of OTA... Should I just ignore this one?
It seems to be trivial enough.. 1.7mb?

I am, At least until I see reports of the N7 shooting flames out of its tail pipes and burning rubber from the new update.
4.4.2 alraedy?
I just got 4.4.2 update download as well, didn't even receive the 4.4.1 notice yet. Won't install for now, will wait for Franco kernel to be updated as well as bionic/dalvik patches.

Haven't even gotten 4.4.1 yet, still on 4.4. What's the speed of this rolling out. I know it's based on serial numbers, but folks already getting 4.4.2 while some of us haven't even gotten 4.4.1.
Has anyone tried OTA Survival Mode yet with recent (1.55 and above if I am correct) SuperSu Pro? I read about succesful updates from 4.3 to 4.4 and 4.4 to 4.4.1 with our device while keeping root, but also about soft-bricked devices. Would make life easier if it works because I have stock recovery and wouldn't need to temporaryly adb load TWRP via Usb every time after OTA to reroot.

I never saw 4.4.1 but 4.4.2 is installing right now. First I was aware that there was a 4.4.2.
I got it OTA. No difference at all. Except the keyboard noise now sounds like a kids toy.
Edit: After using it a bit I think video performance is a lot better, seems more stable. And YouTube now works properly for me.
just got mine it was 58mb
(i didn't receive the 4.4.1 ota update)

Kitkat wifi.

How is everyone's wifi since kitkat update. Mine keeps loosing connection and have to toggle wifi off and on to reconnect. I have flashed the modded version on my d802 with custom recovery.

This one here. Though I have not had to since last night. Seems irregular intervals.

i flashed the same rom also. i may try cloudystock rom to see if the issue still occurs. i will let you know if i still have the same problem.
I have just noticed it only happens on wifi just on Google apps. Gmail, app store but ebay and the rest is fine. Just uninstalled updates and cleared data and reupdated to see if it fixes it.

Think I'm going back to jelly bean as not impressed with kitkat. If I can downgrade.

Random reboots

So, I've read that all lg g2 kit kat roms wether they're stock or not, suffer from random reboots.
Had anyone find a cause or a way to minimize these? They're driving me nuts. Happens all the time.

I didn't got any random reboots until now. The first days I used the original Kitkat, and now CM11 nightly. Any problems...
Just got slimkats new unofficial build that is true KitKat and haven't had any problems with it!

I had random reboots on stock kernel for KitKat stock Roms... But once I installed dorimanx kernel my phone has been running smooth ever since!
because its a rooted phone, so stock kernels doesn´t work correctly under KK
V20G solved my random reboots issue, hyuray

Since kitkat

Ok, Since updating to kitkat the one that brought us the knock code srcurity, I've been having a few problems.
I have a SIM free D802 with 80220B kitkat OTA update and here are some of the problems.
1 battery life is halved
2 stock keyboard lags at times (one of being now as I'm swyping this)
3 quiet mode is intermittent and the set quiet mode timer doesn't work at all now.
4 all my lg apps including system and os have a date of 1970
I've tred factory reset and it's still the same.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Have i had a bad flash? If so how do i reflash the update?
Thanks in advance Andy

Are you sure you have knock code? As the 20b in my case did not have it. The 20d update had knock code.
You can Check for how to get back to stock tutorials and download your latest kdz.

Yeah sorry it's 80220d it was a typo.

So I'll have to download the kdz and reflash 80220D ?

Note 3 does not offer Lollipop update

Hi,
I have the SM-N9005 with v4.4.2 build version N9005VJUFNG3. It seems there is no OTA update for this build. What should I do at this point?
Thanks
You may manually check for updates.
Settings - General - About device - Software updates.
Manual check says the most recent update is already installed.
Thats it then your provider has not updated .
Either wait or flash stock rom via Odin .
see faqs and guides .
You can check sammobile.com to see if the phone firmware matches the latest version on sammobile. If not, you could download the latest rom and install via Odin.
this problem was with my Note 3 N9005 when i bouht it,(Used). i connceted my phone with kies and kies detected that update is available for my phone, and i updated my phone through kies. and after that i manage to get OTA updates onwards.
Accually u shouldnt update to lollipop unless u willing to sacrifice about 2 times lesser battery life
