[Q] Question about bottom metal-like bezel of Galaxy note 3 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am unsure about the original body condition of my Sprint Galaxy Note 3. After removing a Otterbox Defender Series case from my Note 3, I noticed that now the bottom left and bottom highest corner (elevated closest to the screen bezel), on the metal piece, I see a Black and White corner marking, it almost looks like it flows with the edges of the phone.
This is hard for me to explain, so I hope this picture will help explain what I mean:

Is that white marking normal to be on the edges of the Sprint Galaxy Note 3? Or has my case simply just removed the paint (i think?) from it, making it exposed and white colored?

Pearl streak

I'm happy to tell that finally I've changed my crappy Streak case...after dropped it many times to the floor...
I changed the LCD, however i also scrashed it during the process. Lucikly I'm able to purchase 1 black 1 red case from taobao.com. Each package included the black pastic case, lens/flash glass plate and 2 pieces of touching and earpiece plate. Battery cover is not included.
I personally don't like RED color but I would like to keep the Black one for foreback.
In fact the RED one is not a good choice to recolor due to material is different then the black one. Also is very difficult to recolor a lighter color....like white.
I've made few mistakes during the process, 1 I shouldn't glue up the lens glass plate, 2, I install the vibrate motor connector reversed, 3, the button sticked due to over sprayed.
Anyway, finally I make it within 2 hours! It probably the world first PEARL / YELLO streak!! hahaha! suit my pearl color car so much!
So happy! Enjoy!!!!

Nexus 7 not silver around the edge?

Looking at the pictures on Google Play the bezel seems black now, not silver. Or is this just the lighting?
All the I/O units were black around the edge. The images on the play store are obviously not photographs so it may be an oversight, but in this rendering it still looks silver to my eye:

Not many people notice this but the nexus on the box that all of our 7s came in has a black bezel.
Commence box finding..... NOW

Pulling my own box, I can confirm this.
Nice catch.
Didn't cought my eye and "eye" love facts like that.
Might even have been the better choice, because I already have a few scratches around the edges of my Nexus7.
Should have been black all along !
It may have been a last minute decision to colour it silver, the corners of mine have rubbed and it is black underneath. Perhaps the plastic had some visual imperfections that were easier to 'fix' with a coat of silver?
I'm not sure but I think the ones with white back cover have a black frame. I've never seen a white one with silver frame anyway.

Bubble under glass

I got my note 4 day after launch and yesterday morning a bubble showed up under the glass on the left top corner of the screen At first I though it was the screen protector that had a bubble underneath but after taking the screen protector off it is actually under the glass. The bubble is about half inch long by 1/8th inch wide or so. I couldn't find any info on anyone else with this problem. I went to Tmobile and they sent a replacement phone out right away. Anyway just seeing if anyone else has had this problem. There is no damage to the glass or screen just a bubble under the glass. XDA wont let me post photos in my posts yet so once I'm over 10 posts i'll put some pictures of it up.
Looks like glue wasn't cured right. Were you able to "push" bubble out by pressing on screen or is more like cured glue separated from glass?

Pressing on it doesn't make the bubble go away or change shape in any way.
be good if some way we can see a picture.

There it finally allowed me to post photos.
yeah that's a strange one! Only thing I can think of is that it was there when you first bought it, but it was too small for you take notice until it got bigger!
Exchange!
This is the adhesive that fuses the LCD panel to the glass digitizer separating. Definitely a factory defect and definitely get it exchanged. This should not be happening.
Mine is separating in the same spot. Can only see it when the light it on it just right, hasn't gotten as bad as yours yet

stain in bottom of the screen

Hi,
I recently noticed a mark on the screen. It's only visible with light colours (especially white, with black the mark is not visible at all).

I did not find any similar case on the forum or the internet.
It looks like when AMOLED display are burned (like in JerryRigEverything videos).
But, it's LCD panel here...
From this video https://youtu.be/zuq2uPAEmeM?t=211 , the mark seems to be at the same level than this "copper bottom circle" :

Any idea ?
I've got a very similar 'stain' that is most noticable on a white background but never looked in to why it is so would be interested to find out what it is too! Not that it bothers me much and in fact apart from that it's an A grade phone as no scratches etc but as it had the stain it was reduced to C grade price so I only paid £90 for it which was a bargain!
I think the stain is glue and the spot on screen is caused by pressure. Hotspits can also cause such effects.
There were flat tvs, where the heat of the two SoCs on the mainboard (the second one was necessary for motion compensation, in single core days) would cause two squares appear on screen after the tv had warmed up.
I've just noticed a very similar stain in the same position in my LG G6. Lucky enough the two years warranty ends in two weeks haha, so it's already at the store and I hope they get it fixed soon.

Samsung Leather Case durability and Samsung warranty

Bought a Tan Note 10+ Leather case and just after a month's use, the case has so much wear off. I go very easy on my phones and cases with no keys or anything in the picket I keep the phone in.
I felt that this is not right and contacted Samsung and they said there is zero warranty on cases. How on earth can a premium $55 Samsung product has no warranty at all?
I understand the leather wearing but this doesn't look like wearing but a bad product quality when my tan leather turns black. Any ideas?

I remember this being an issue with many samsung leather cases, so i've never bothered getting one. Really disappointing. Can you check if your credit card has any protection options?
I think the color is painted on. I got the black one to avoid losing color.
I got the brown one and mine has got way way worse than that. Pretty disappointing
I'm using original Samsung case (silicone material), but leather is the same I think.. I have first one now, but I had 3 of them when I used Note 9. So quality and also protection is weak.. But you know, if you like it..
I have the red leather case and feel the corners are showing a lot of wear for less than 3 weeks worth of use. Phone is either in my hand or pocket. The corners have gotten darker as seen in the pic. I am okay with leather wearing, however I'm wondering if it will discolor unevenly or fade...
My old Note 9 has the brown leather flip cover and no issues, however that was a darker color in comparison. Pics attached.
