Yes it has auto rotate but it may not work for a couple of reasons:
It will not work on the "homepage" as for some reason, it is still not available to landscape your homepage.
If your in apps, like the broswer etc, then yes it should auto-rotate, but my Nexus 7 also had this turned off by default.
Goto your settings -> display -> auto rotate. (Im 90% sure its under display )
Make sure the box is ticked
Hope I helped

If you're wondering how to enable rotation on the launcher (homepage), you can do it a number of ways. If you don't want to root, you can install an app like ultimate rotation control from the play store. You can also install an alternate launcher like Apex or Nova.
If you want to root, you can flash a ROM that has tablet mode such as Paranoid Android. You can also edit the build.prop file but I wouldn't recommend the latter as it seems to have negative repercussions in system apps.

Very strange - there is no auto rotate option as per you described. Where does it go?

Easiest way, when you pull the notification bar down, you will see 2 Icons right at the top of the notification bar.
One will be three lines, with dots on them, which looks like the icon of the "Settings" app.
Next to that, you will see something with two arrows, and in the middle either like a screen of a device, or a padlock.
That is what you want to click, if the padlock is there, then rotation is locked, if you have the device screen, with the two arrows, auto rotate is enabled.
Hope this helps.
If you want more help download the application nova launcher.
Once you have nova, open it up and go to "look and fell". Once In there go Into screen orientation and click on auto-rotate.
When you finish do the command above, and it all should work

add this to the end of your build.prop file and reboot, then youll be able to autorotate your homescreen. no, adding this to your build.prop file will not hurt your device or cause issues as others here have stated..
launcher.force_enable_rotation=true

Works great! Thank you!
The auto rotate is turned off when you have stock jelly bean. But if you pull down the menu you can change it there.
Apex Launcher does it too.
The cheapest way ist modifying the build.prop
An nice app but it cost is
look for "Ultimate Rotation Control" in app store
goes like hell
Don't use the rotation control app, at least not in auto or forced auto. It kills performance.

What is build.prop file and where is it to find for the modification?
RE
The Rotation Control app worked great on my Nexus 7.
I can't say the same for my GS3;
it kept resetting itself to "Forced Auto".
The build.prop method is easy, and works mostly well.
My only problem seems that the Play Store app always crashes when the screen rotates in the app drawer. I'm not sure yet if it happens anywhere else, but so far everything else is good.
The build.prop file is in the "/system/" folder, and you'll need root access to get to it.
Once rooted, get ES File Explorer from the app store.
You'll need to enable "Root Explorer", "Up to Root" and "Mount File System" in the app's "Root Settings" to reach and edit the build.prop.
Once you find the build.prop file in the /system/ folder, you can press it and choose to open it with ES Note Editor.
!!!!! WARNING !!!!!
Before you start messing with the build.prop file,
you'd be smart to make a nandroid backup in CWM.
The slightest typo or mistake can cause your device to not boot up.
You've been warned...!
!!!!! END WARNING !!!!!
But, assuming you add the line accurately to the bottom of your build.prop, you'll be ok.

also, in case you mess something up in you build.prop file, any kind of edit, not just this, you can just reflash your current ROM(no wiping of anything) without anykind of data loss or repercussions. well, OK, one repercussion, a loss of about 3-4 minutes
Since GB, our phone always had the delay when pressing the Home button to return to the homescreen. On GB and ICS to fix this, we had to do some hacking and modding to scripts.
But now on official JB, its even simpler to fix and doesn't require root.
1) Open up the 'Voice Command' app in your app drawer.
2) Hit the menu button, settings.
3) Untick the text box for 'Launch Voice Talk'.
4) Done! Enjoy your Home button without any lag!
Let me know how it goes and whether this has helped.
Cheers,
Oly.
The option was already unticked by default, but the lag was there. So I ticked and unticked it... The lag is gone! Really awesome, big thanks

Cool man!
thanks!
Edit: I have done what ccab said too.
Go to "apps running" and finalize the "voice" processes.
It will close by itself after some time, but a good advice. That's why I first thought it didn't work

There is a small lag that doesn't bother me, but I was just curious if it would improve. I didn't see a difference (at least not enough that I could notice it, anyway). But I made a note for myself about it in case I have a problem at some point in the future...
Wow it works! Thanks
Thanks for that, mine was unticked too, but ticking it and unticking it makes a great difference.
I using Superneat and don't have Voice Commander, what is name of app in /system/app?
Thank you very much, very useful!
Hello everybody, first of all plz excuse my poor english (I just speak french)
I have made an official Android 4.4.2 update yesterday and I got some weird problems with the Home button (the only physical button) :
- When I double press on it I got S.Voice (everything's ok)
- When I make a long press I got the list of the apps in use (everything's too
BUT
When a make a simple press, nothing happens... except when the phone is locked.
So, I'm sure that's not a hardware problem.
Plz help me because it's very frustrating (I can't go Home window without making a multi-press on Back button.)
Up
Dont know the cause of your problem but you could possibly work around it by reassigning the correct action to the home key by using an app.
For example a launcher like nova, xposed modules like xposed additons or gravity box.

Thx for your response, but the problem is solved, after a full wipe with recovery and root
Yes i can confirm something it weird with the homebutton, once in a while the homebutton does not go to defaut screen when you press it. I thought it had todo something with customisations like xposed framework stuff like gravity box. after a reboot its gone so i'm not really bothered with it.

did you modify your dpi?
I think you got some blue light filter running. Pause it when you install something or grant any permission.

Screen overlay detected
Hi, I have the same problem on my oneplus two. I just updated to Marshmallow. It's not allowing me to make calls as well as microphone permission is denied. I dont have any application like lux or blue light filter. It's really annoying. Please help!
Go to settings / apps
Press on settings icon right on top
Search for the Overlay entry
show only apps with permissions
deactivate the activated
Hope this helps

swipe any heads-up notifications, disable additional filters (Darker, Blue Light, Lux etc).
I had the same problem an iI was ready to throw my phone into the ocean, turns out I had the iswipe enabled from clean master. I turned it off in the settings for clean master and now I'm fine, you could also try turning off screen overlay for every app on your phone. Anything that displays something over an app is an overlay, such as facebook messenger bubble or anything like that.
Tried all the above. Screen overlay problem still persists

Fix for sreen overlay detected message in one plus 2
Put your phone in safe mode (press the power off button and press on the on screen power off icon until it asks if you want to go in safe mode. Press okay) then once it reboots, go to settings, then apps, click on the facebook app or whatever app you have the problem with, press permissions and then turn on all the permissions (toggle to the right and it should turn green). Repeat for whichever other apps have this problem then turn reboot the phone and voila! It's fixed. :d
Thanks mate

Thank you very much mate. It did work. You are the man. I disabled the option for all apps and issue resolved.
Okay, The solution to this problem is because of clean master, The iswipe on your device is enabled, Just Uninstalling clean master. If this doesn't work, then change the draw over apps of all your applications to no. Hope this helps
I had similar problem. Uninstalled CM swipe app. This solved the problem
I have this problem with my one plus 2 and it started after the new update. What's not working for me is that I do not have an 'Overlay' entry when I click on the setting widget up in the right corner. Now all my app permissions have been reset. Appreciate the help.

You can stop this error from appearing by disabling the apps using "draw over other apps" option. You can find this in settings. If you need a step by step method, check my detailed how to post : How to fix screen overlay detected error
easy solution
bro you can get rid of this issue by doing this
Settings >> Apps >> Tap Top Setting icon
Special Access >> “Draw over other apps”
“Permit drawing over other apps“
How to let the application run in the background of the operating system in android 7 EMUI 5.0, Huawei-Mat 8?
In the previous version, Android 6, the application should be kept in the Protected Apps, but after updating the operating system the Protected Apps disappeared.
Click the square button on home screen, select your app, and click the Lock on its upper-right corner.

Actually I got this solution also, in the last week, and I kept it for three days. Unfortunately it is not working.
Even I made factory data reset. I reinstalled all my apps again. Again the same result.

It doesn't say it anywhere but you have to restart the phone for each change there to take effect.

Ooho, the same problem came again after three days.
I'm trying this setting on mysms to get it to work all the time.
Not receiving notifications when you should be? Here's a Huawei oddity that we've found to be irksome with some apps not sending alerts/notifications even when all settings are apparently correct (WhatsApp is our problematic one). It's to do with EMUI's strict power efficiency. If you stop receiving notifications try this (to access Ignore Optimisations): access Apps (method above) > hit the blue settings cog icon to the bottom > select Special Access under the Advanced tab > Unrestricted Data Access. Here apps can be granted always-on data irrelevant of what other settings state. source: www.pocket-lint.com/news/140204-hua...-tricks-take-charge-of-your-mate-9-p9-honor-8
