my lg optimus l5 E612 keeps rebooting itself after the media scan. this didn't happen untill i unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM. i have tried to wipe the cache, the dalvik cache and a factory reset in CWM but still kept rebooting. So I restored the original bootloader and recovery than done a factory reset and that stopped it. I downloaded the the ulocked bootloader from a diffident website and tried doing it again but still did it. how can i fix it??
The solution !!!!!!!!!!
Enable USB debug (before your phone reboots).......... very fast!
first
you must have patched you phone with recovery (mmcblk0p17) and boot (mmcblk0p5) partition
This file is extracted from the russian firmware....... is the bootloader!!!
I try this process with my phone (lg e612f)...... and no more reboots
copy the file to the sdcard
docs.google.com/file/d/0B-im6Vo1WjAEV1phbWRLOXIzX00/edit?usp=sharing
run from ADB
adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/immcblk0p9 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9
reboot recovery
enjoy...... your phone is unlocked!!!!!!!
willthis work with mine because mine is not the f model

My L7 is rebooting
Hello to all,
My Lg Optimus L7 sudenly restarts when using it little longer. When i'm start to play some game like Temple run it cannot last for a few minutes, apps start to crush like android proces has stoped, google play has stoped etc... and than sudenly restarts itself... then i have to remove baterry and live the phone to "cool" for a while, and than i can turn it on when everything works normaly util next longer using... this is happening even when using other apps like skype for a little longer...I have tried to flash new software, even to instal prerooted software and do a factory reset through CMW, dalvik, cache, fix permisions but nothing helped, always the same... HELP!
I would try this method above but the LINK IS BROKEN...
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem with my Optimus L5 after unlocking the bootloader. Any idea where this problem comes from and how to solve it?
Did you use the exact bootloader for your model?
See this post
Thanks for the answer,
I used this OL5_1.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38053729
Also according to Android my phone is E610, but on the back it's written E610/E612F, so which one should I try?
Last problem, since I have installed Cyanogenmod there is no more "charge only", I don't know if it's really important though. I will try to have yours work.

In android the model can be changed by modifiying one line of build.prop, so i'll trust what the back of the phone says...
To me, while connecting usb is the same on pc... nevermind the "charge only"
I was about to commit suicide because I couldn't get adb working. But finally I managed to enter those 3 commands in the integrated Terminal Emulator, having previously installed the file for E610:
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/emmc_appsboot.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5
reboot
And it worked. That was quite hard because I only had 2 minutes between the boot and the reboot. Thanks for helping me. :good:

Hi
I have an international version 802 version with ROM of g.lewarne inside (rooted)
I've received and accepted the new OTA upgrade, and now i'm stick in the Clockworckmod Recovery.
I've flashed my LG back to the g.lewarne ROM but each time i restart my phone it goes directly to the CWM recovery Mode.
Any suggestion of what to do to get my phone starting normally?

It doesn't go to download mode.
What you need to do to fix this
If you´re stuck in CWM you CAN´T enter in download mode...in this case you have one Option.
download a T/zip file WRP Recovery
and
Plug the usb cable to a computer and enter in cwm recovery
next
adb push "name of recovery".zip /sdcard
next
install the new recovery
open a terminal commando and put this:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
Reboot
If you´re stuck in TWRP you have 2 options.
Enter in download mode and restore the firmware from LGMobile or from ADB command to restore your boot.
sorry for bad english
the same here...
I now have the stable version of Cyanogen tested install.
Supposedly he is fertig.Als Note is only: Checking if loki - fying is needed, Updating partition details ...
Otherwise Zip Install Complete
After the wipe reboot and again in TWRP.
In the file manager of TWRP is not to be understood that an installation place hätte.Den Downloadmod tried (the button is held down the top of the lens and USB cable plugged in to it) always comes only the LG logo and then again TWRP.
This helped me

I don't have access to download mode. Now i don't have either access to CWM recovery. All i get when i plug it to my PC is LG logo with the error: secure booting error.
Also adb does not detect my device.
Thank you for your answer.
It seems many people have encountered the same problem with the latest fota from LG.
then my phone goes to black screen while still on.
I have this problem ;(
I have only black screen, I can't go to twrp or download mode. I can't do nothing! :<
Hi all,
First off I've tried now for a two days to solve this, reading as much as I could find on here and the rest of the internet.
I decided to root my LG D802 running 4.2 and install CWM recovery no problem. Next I flashed a stock 4.4.2 vodaphone img. All went well untill i tried to use the touch screen, which shows that when i press on one point on the screen it selects multiple points basically its unusable and unable to do almost anything with it, however i have managed to turn on ADB and connect to the phone. So now i have a stock recovery and an unusable ROM.
So next up I tried to rooting it since I had ADB shell working ok, using the IOROOT25. This appears to work as when it reboots and installs the kkroot.zip in the recovery it's saying it worked. Now when I reboot and open ADB shell then type SU to get root I can't press ok when superuser pops up to asking me to give it permission, because of the touch screen problem.
If i can get root in ADB then remount the files system then i will be able to DD a new recovery img??
After getting this far and loosing, I then found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 on flashing to stock, but the program crashes every time it's about to flash, so i tried doing a fresh install of windows 7 and then tried windows 8 however the program still crashes every time and yes I have followed the instructions and tried the manual method and checking the 127.0.0.0. lgblahblah is there
So no I am turning to you guys for help.
phone details;
Model: D802 32GB
Firmware operator: VDF
sw version: D80220a
ro.build.fingerprint: lge/g2_vdf_com/g2:4.4.2/KOT49I.D80220a/D80220a.1392133741:user/release-keys
Recovery: <3e> KOT49I.D80220a test-keys
UPADATE: I have root but getting this error when trying to flash the recovery:
+] loki_flash v2.0
[-] Loki aboot version does not match device.
any ideas?
Ok so i found a different aboot img pushed to the phone and flashed that using dd
Code:
dd if=/data/local/tmp/about.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
this solved the problem above and a allowed me to flash cwm recovery. This then broke the installed rom so it wouldn't boot. now I had a custom recovery i flashed a EUR open 16gb stock zip this all went well and now i have a working phone What i should of done is remove the stock recovery.img from the zip and the line to flash it in the update script so it didn't flash the stock recovery.
This now leaves me with the loki flash problem above when trying to flash a custom recovery i could flash a different aboot.img but i don't want to break the current rom.
Any one else found a way to solve this problem?

i downloaded ioroot25 and extracted it and ran root.bat
Looking for device...
Make sure drivers are installed. Check Windows Device Manager.
Make sure proper USB Debugging mode is enabled.
Verizon users make sure ethernet mode is selected.
Did you check phone screen for Yes/No prompt?
(select checkbox to always remember then hit yes)
...sometimes you need to unplug the USB cable then re-plug.
Determining device model...
Rebooting into stock recovery...
When recovery loads, select: *apply update from adb* with power button...
then press Enter/Return on your keyboard.
Press any key to continue . . .
(here the phone restarts and LG logo appears with (secure booting error)message in the upper left corner, and when i press any key)
Reboot back into System after flash in recovery finishes.
Press any key to continue . . .
and when pressing any key the cmd closes and the phone stays on with black screen and the back light on
in the pc i get many windows about formating drives (from H to S)
and i dont know anything about linux or command line
would you explain it to me??
Ok so your phone not longer boots, correct? Do you know what build/version plus any other details of the rom you flashed? or even a link so i can have a look at the rom you have installed. Can you get into recovery mode and is it still a stock recovery image? also what is your phone d802? 16gb 32gb?

1. First do you know what rom version you where on?, if you do know download that rom then extract from it the stock recovery using Huawei Update Extractor .
2. If there is two files of recovery just choose one, the one without any numbers. So you will have RECOVERY.img file.
3. Now make sure all files needed to recognize your phone are installed and adb is installed too. What you will need now is to push the RECOVERY.img file to the phone.
4. Connect the device to the computer and Put the RECOVERY.img file inside the folder where fastboot.exe is located. Then hold shift and right click to open CMD(command prompt) from there. Once CMD is open run the following code:
adb devices (This will show if your device is connected)
adb reboot bootloader (will reboot the device in bootloader mode)
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
5. After this take the rom which you extracted the recovery from and put it in the memory card (dload folder)
6. When phone is OFF hold (volume up + volume down+ power key) together until you see Huawei startup logo then release. The flash process of the rom should start.

Follow the instructions i stated earlier. Put the rom the dload folder( inside it Update.app) in sdcard and flash it by turning off the phone and then hold( volume up+volume down + power) at the same time to begin the flash process or read the pdf file that comes with the rom after you unzip it.

To enter the fastboot mode disconnect the phone from the PC. Shut it down by holding power until it's off. Then hold volume down and connect the phone to the PC at the same time.
It won't shut down.. Just restart. .. I will get in screen were you can wipe cache and do fatory reset and reboot. But no shutdown.... Sorry for all these questions. Thank you so much for all the help! ?

Hello,
thanks to Sattarvoybek from 4pda we've got a working TWRP for the S7!!!
Install it by dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery
or Flashify ...
(only if u've got root! )
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=697227&st=340
Download: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4Ya5mT9NhjqUUZyVTFDT18xQlU
can you please elaborate on how to install it? and did you test this?

Yes ... it's confirmed to work! ... installed it on my S7 ...
1st: root your phone ... best way from my point of view ... kingo 4.8 (oldie but goldie ... working!) + 'kingo to supersu 1.3' (Alternative: Replace_Kinguser_with_SuperSU-v2.0) - you will need adb-access for this ...
2nd: Install it by dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery (adb again, su mode)
(See attachments)
Regards
i rooted with kingroot, so what? i connect it to the pc, and just type these commands in a cmd? do i need special drivers or something?

1. activate dev.options by tapping 'build no' (about this phone) 7x ...
2. inside dev.options activate usb debugging/adb
3. install: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
4. connect your phone and open a cmd prompt/terminal
5. adb shell ... then u enter ur phone and can do funny things in there
More detailed tutorials are around ... but ... are u sure, that u need a recovery?! - what's ur plan?
hey, it would not hurt to have a recovery that isn't the basic one.
as for what i need it for, the basics, flashing apps that won't install and stuff like that. also backing up the phone if i need.

Read more at: https://www.viraltecho.com/replace-kingoroot-with-supersu/
The short process is:
root - change to supersu (the howto is inside the zip) - download the recovery and save the file to ur sd - execute the dd copy without!!! typos ... (check it twice)
Try 'Replace_Kinguser_with_SuperSU-v2.0.zip' first ... there's some memory that this on was easier ...
adb reboot recovery (inside a cmd/terminal - phone connected)
should show the magic ...

It has many restrictions, installs a lot of crap to ur phone and many root-dependant programs will ask for supersu to work ... beside that I'm not sure, that u will be able to flash the recovery with this 'limited' root (maybe someone has some experience?!)
Beside that u could circumvent the dd -thing and check if kingo is 'enough'/capable by using Flashify + the recovery.img.
Never tested it ... but it's supposed to work (no warranty!)
it's not kingo root. it's kingroot. from the guys who created purify. i saw no restrictions, and i'll try to flash the recovery and let you know.

Let's say that 'there's one ring to rule them all' ... and it's called 'chainfire supersu' ... which became kind of a standard and many apps especially ask for it (foldermount f.e.).
Kingroot has kind of some funny effects (google it) - that's one of the reasons most people like to change it to supersu - on the other hand kingroot does a great job for rooting phones ... that's the reason many people get into using it ...
Anyway ... please let me know, if flashify manages the installation of the recovery!

Try to wipe the cache & dalvik cache from the recovery (enter by vol up + power when the phone is shut down), then reboot and wait the optimization to complete.
tried that, even tried a complete wipe. when i do a complete wipe i reach the initial setup, but my default keyboard keeps crashing so i can't get past it.
i contacted ZTE to get the full rom so i may be able to flash it and fix my keyboard.
also when i reboot after i reach that screen, it goes into the optimization loop again...
I can give u a link to the full rom ...
But first try to
- wipe data
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik
reboot and wait for like 10 min.
By the way .. i've got a recovery-backup in here ... entering adb (recovery) and executing dd if= should do the trick ... and permit u to installl the original recovery and the zte update.zip ...
tried those, like i said the only thing i got was the setup wizard but my keyboard crashes. where did you get the rom? i only found the update zip on their site.
it's a shame there's no custom rom for this device...
Inside the update.zip there's a full rom! ... as long u r on a stock recovery the procedure is:
copy the (maybe 1x extracted?!?) update.zip on ur sdcard ... enter the stock recovery ... wipe all ... install update ... 10 min later ur S7 should be back to stock ...
The stock recovery:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4Ya5mT9NhjqNUkwbmY5cHNOb2M
Download, copy it (recovery) to your sdcard ... and then
Install it by dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery
(if= INPUT FILE --- the file u wanna flash --- of= OUTPUT FILE --- the 'destination' ... keep this path as it is!!!)
After that ur normal recovery should be alive ... and u can install any update.zip which was made for the S7.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-blade/general/help-zte-blade-s7-t920-firmware-t3414420
This should bring ur S7 back to life ...

The twrp -recovery supports mtp (file transfer) + adb commands ... - so just enter the recovery and start the procedure ...
(Windows - cmd / osx - terminal --- adb and drivers need to be installed ... )
