Pending updates? Disregard? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i have never done updating the phone through update center. I have d802C and i know there are more updates pending in the update center.
my question is when kitkat comes will it overwrite the latest software update or do i need to install everything up to kitkat? can't i just ignore them all and install kitkat?

Anyone who knows the answer??

How do we update firmware once rooted?

Title says it all.. I read that once you root the hero you cannot receive firmware updates OTA. Is this true? If it is, then how can we update our devices?
I had a stock ROM rooted, and was able to receive the OTA update and it successfully applied.
So I have MoDaCo installed, can I install the update over it?
thank you for any help
Anyway to install with a stock rom, without using the built in OTA update tool?

Not from sprint, but you can load the newest FreshROM over it and be updated. However be aware that the rom breaks the link between media being played the and bt device.

I assume there should be a download of it somewhere, if not sprint, google, or HTC, then on some forum....

I don't think that there would be an official update to it because it doesn't even have a 4.3 update.

Ota update

yes of course but once your phone is updated you will lose the root
Please do note that if you have performed some tweaks in /system, your OTA update may fail and cause problems. Oh, and make sure to make a nandroid, then flash the stock recovery and then perform the update. Can't go wrong when you got a nandroid.

437.64mb software update??

I received updates on both of my S4s, size is 437.64mb, in fact i am on lollipop 5.0.1 did anybody else receive this update yet?
Is the phone running the latest ROM? The stock ROMs are at sammobile.com and you can compare the installed ROM to sammobile.com's ROM files..
