does anybody knows a way to change the phone t9 dialer language (smart dial)?
i couldnt find any thing on the forum or google for the lg g2
I'm looking for an aswer too.
Maybe something in the build.prop?

I am sorry but I am not a dev at all, but I was wondering if anyone can dev a keyboard layout switch...
I have checked many post and if I am not getting it wrong, you have to go to "setting>local ..." to change the keyboard layout and T9 dictionnaries.
My point is, as a french, english, chinese keyboard users, I have to frequently change my keybaord layout. So I was wondering if anyone can compilate a mix of the following applications (can be founded on market) :
-apowersms (if you go to setting, there is a language filter, which is very interesting because you can choose which language keyboard you need) (and the keyboard layout isn't so bad looking)
- softkeyboard (for the keyboard button, when you press it long, you can directly change to the language you want)
I have also haykuro Hero Rom, as you can see in the following video, there's tool and keyboard button, maybe we can use this as a base....

I recently got a HTC Magic. The only thing that bothers me is the "iPhone-ish" skin on the keyboard and dialer.
Is there any way I can get the default Android keyboard and dialer? I would rather not root the device, but if I have to, I'll do it.

I'm also interested on how to get rid of the HTC Dialer. The keyboard's OK, but I don't like that their own dialer practically split apart the dialing stuff from the contact list and call log.
I would like to know how to uninstall the HTC Dialer too!
you dont uninstall stuff.
you get a new app that does the same thing and set that as default app for the that function
is it possible to add a languagr (Hebrew) to the built-in Legend dialer?
i did try the Dialer One and the aContacts, but both of them are working very slow when i search a contact.

I have an issue with the T9 quick search which I use alot. (Default SGS2 dialerapp)
An example:
Searching for 'Kåre' is complicated, because 'å' isn't recognized as a member of the '(2 abc)' button. Pressing 527 as I would do, won't match Kåre.
So when I need to call someone named Kåre, I can't use the T9 quicksearch.
The same is true for Bjørn, Øystein, Øyvind, Åsmund and many others.
I simply can't find them with T9 quick-search.
I know there are other dialers, but I have not found one I can stand for more than a day. I really like the swipe to call/sms feature and the big buttons in the default SGS2 dialer.
I've tried RocketDialer, TouchPal, DialerOne, GO Contacts, Fast Dialer, Eir Fast Dialer, AContacts.
As I'm syncing the contacts with various social channels it is not an option to change the names to Kaare, and Bjoern etc.
Is there a way to fix this myself, or do I need Samsung to do it?
Any tips and hits are appreciated.
Also please do suggest dialers with T9 search if there are any out there I should try.

anyone knows what app is responsible for the T9 dialer language?
I'm using English locale and xposed+app settings to change locale for specific apps.
I already changed locales for: com.sec.phone, com.android.contacts, com.android.phone and the dialer/contacts is in my own locale right now, except the T9 dialing is still in English. I tried changing locales for various apps, but didn't find the right one.

So to answer my own question, it's one or more of these:
Dialer storage, contact storage, in call ui, dictionary
