Hi
I had a weird experience today, when I booted the phone it went to bootloop.
The first ting I did was holding the powerbutton until the phone rebooted. This boot went good.
I'm using stock 4.2.2 with some xposed mods.
Anyone know why? Asking because I can prevent form a real bootloop.

I have had a bootloop when the phone was hot and the battery died and I plugged in for charging. Lg logo kept flashing on and off for a while. Sometimes strange things happen.. Try pulling a last_kmsg?

Youre not actually listing anything. It's due to the fact that batterystats becomes inconsistent after reboots. A good practice is to just shutdown instead of rebooting.

I have seen this 1 time; my phone was acting a bit weird so I selected reboot from quickboot and it went from 50% to 9% battery when it came back up.
That is the only time it happened.
I haven't seen this when booting to CWM .. then back to system or shutting down fully and restarting.

Hi, today I was on my nexus 4 watching a couple of YouTube videos when suddenly the nexus logo appeared on my screen (the nexus logo that appears when you reboot the phone). After the logo had disappeared it was like the phone had just been rebooted. can someone tell me what happened and how it happened?
Thanks in advance

Did the phone feel hot before it rebooted? What were you doing the second time? Perhaps you could try leaving the phone off for a few minutes to let it cool down before turning it back on.
Nope it's still normal temp. I was on browser not doing any heavy usage.

How long have you had the device and is it rooted or anything? Custom rom, kernel, etc.
I've had it since the 1st of December and it's not rooted. Stock android 4.2

I've had the phone for 8 weeks, stock, rooted and this has happened to me once. I presumed it had just crashed and rebooted?

i have the same random soft reboot issue. both with my nexus 4 and nexus 7. it happens anytime whether its being used or not. sometimes up to 2-3 times a day.. sometimes just 1-2 times a week.. i've read it somewhere on google support site that google is aware of this JB 4.2 bug. i just wish they could get a fix out soon.. *still waiting*

When the battery goes down to 15%, haptic feedback turns off by itself and I have to manually put it back on even after charging it again. This gets annoying after a while. What should I do? (i337)

Charge your phone before it gets to 15%.
Battery life is optimized when the charge is kept between 20-80%.

I know that... But I hate manually turning it on.... I'm asking how to stop it from turning off by itself.

There is nothing to be concerned about, normal behavior. Unless you're rebooting your phone every other hour don't let it bother you.
Alright thanks

So lately I've been getting a horrible battery drain on my s4 no matter what ROM I use i still have this problem. My phone won't charge, sometimes if I do a reboot it'll work fine but it always comes back. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I even lose battery when charging my phone

I have insurance on it through best buy mobile, so if I return it to stock do you think they would swap it for a new one?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm gonna flash back to stock with the NAE .tar file and if problem still occurs then I'll go to best buy mobile and get it looked at and see if they will swap it out with new one. I really want the s4 with spark compatibility anyway lol.

@flashback7 I don't think that's it but it could be lol. I'm thinking its because I've been using wifi tethering alot lately and it drains my battery and makes my phone really hot. One time it got so hot that I got a message saying my battery was overheated and my phone shut off. I think that may be the cause of it.

That'll do it. I unplug mine before it overheats.
