is my Galaxy Y Duos S6102 bricked? - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Galaxy Y Duos S6102 not turning on after I unplugged it. It was rooted few months ago and yesterday it shut down without any notice and won’t turn on even it is full charged. Have ordered a mpj replacement battery (hard to find legit battery) to see if it could be helpful. Is my phone bricked? O<-<

if the phone shut down while you were flashing a rom or something else then it may have been bricked else its just a battery issue
phone just cant get bricked while it is lying on bed

sounds more like a flat battery to me
you wont know till you test it
if it doesnt work after after changing battery take to a repair shop for a diagnosis

Random Dead Atrix

I woke up this morning to find out my phone was dead, it was charging when i left it. So i search the forums and find a bunch of threads saying its a faulty wall charger etc. Tested and nope nothing.
the only signal of life shows when i connect a usb cable to it, I love the Atrix but im kinda dissapointed this is the first phone that dies on me.
Try removing the battery and install again after 10 seconds.
try removing sd card, this happened to me once with xperia x10. my card was dead after thata and was not letting phone boot up.

i dont have an external sd card, neither before or after the problem appeared
You know that's a weird coincidence. I noticed that the battery on my Wife's Atrix was low last night so before bed I plugged it in for her.
I woke up and looked over at her phone and there was the Droid with an exclamation point in a triangle on her screen.
I was way more fortunate than you because all I had to do was a battery pull and it restarted.
I wonder if it has anything to do with that massive solar ejection we just had?
I skated by this time but the moral of my tale is don't plug in your Significant Others phone for them... You might have some 'splaining to do.

hey bro, get a car charger for a backup but call warranty 800-801-1101 and see if they will replace it.

I live in Dominican Republic, dont think getting a replace would be a viable option, because of the shipping costs etc.
so thats it?, it died randomly without any explanation or solution? lol that sucks
Need one of the devs from the captivate forum to look into the attix to serif there is a "sleep death" it "charge death" occurring here. The captivate and Infuse 4g I had, when this happened, you could smell a burnt electronics smell under the battery cover. I'm thinking we might be able to get a logcat in the mix? .......
Don't listen to anything my Atrix types via CM7......
how can i get a logcat from a dead phone?
Update
-Charged the battery using an external battery and the phone wont work anyways.
-Checked the voltage using a tester, the battery is fine.
It seems my atrix is ****d

Not detected when connected to the computer, and no errors or signs when connected to wall.
My Atrix suddenly died after a trip to the cinema...
Turned it (completely normal shutdown) off before the movie began and when I came home it just didn't want to turn on. There is nothing wrong with the battery. :/
Did you tried the solutions posted by the members in here?, mine is still dead.
bump help?
bump help?
If it doesn't turn on at all, it seems you are sol, unfortunately.
That's a sign of a hardware failure.

Galaxy S4 wont charge and wont turn on!?

So i went to charge my GS4 last night , when i woke up the phone was off, no sign of life ...
So i did all the normal stuff, take out battery etc, still nothing, just wont even show any sign of life , put it back on charge, came back 30 mins later and it was warm , but still nothing?!
any ideas?
It would be wise to take it to customer center before trying anything else...
I guess its still in warrenty period,
It seems, that u got a faulty device, they might replace it..

God damn.....................
so annoying!
Happened to me last saturday night, i left with 8% of charge then sunday it was completely drained, i dont think it is dead because everytime i pull off the battery and re-insert it, the phone boots up showing the galaxy logo but having no charge it switches off.
Already called the customer service but they're taking too long to start the returning process of the phone having it for only 3 days i think its still in warranty (7 day returning warranty). I'm thinking of bringing it to a repair centre but would costs me about 60euros. Is it worthy to wait? Or bring it at repaircentre?

btw, where can i get a stock ODIN flashable rom for the I9505 , preferably not from hotfile. it takes forever

[Q] AT&T S4 i337 w/ unlocked bootloader will not turn on.

This thing has seen better times for sure.. already replaced the LCD once, been dropped a few times... basically I've been kinda careless with it.
The other day, with about 5% charge, it turned off. Since then I've been unable to power it back up. I've left it on a charger for a while, and it definitely got hot, and charged the battery.
I've moved this LCD to another S4 I got on CL, and it works perfectly.
Is there anything else I can swap out on the main board of the S4 that won't turn on, in order to get it to?
I'm willing to sacrifice S4 (B) for S4 (A) to work, in order to salvage my unlocked bootloader version.
Any help would be awesome, thanks.

You confirmed with the battery of the other phone that the battery isn't the issue? I know when mine died entirely it wouldn't charge but still got warm if I left it plugged in.

[Q] My gs5 Wont turn on

well so the other day sat my phone to charge but in the middle of the night i woke because i touched it and it was crazyhot.
and then i tryed to turn it on i got a response just samsung galaxy s5 showed and then it died.
so i took the battery away and the cover and let it cool off by the window.
when i tryed it later i got absolutly no response, when i try to charge it it makes a crackling noise almost like when u are boiling water.
i think the battery is the problem but i will ask here first.
sorry for bad english im from norway,
cant really fix it at a shop since knox is tripped from root.
Try connecting to PC without battery
Try connecting to Charger without battery
Try new battery & charger

Hello,
I think your battery has been roasted. you need to buy a new battery from ebay or amazon or your local store. Also, did you put your phone on the bed or under the pillow? because if it is.. it will get hotter if you did lol. so make sure put your phone away about 2 feets while charging from your bed. or put on hard surface while charging. Good luck!

completely dead s5

so i have a g900f s5 and i fully charged it overnight, phone still working, then i unplugged it and went out, went to unlock it about half an hour later and the screen wouldnt turn on, yanked the battery and tried to get into download mode and nothing, no led indication or vibration, i imagine its completely dead and nothing but a board replacement will fix it, would a usb jig work to fix it, i dont have one on hand but can get one made by a friend
has anyone else had this issue or am i left with a brick
any help is appreciated

Have you got a friend or person you know who has a S5?
The first thing I'd do is see if the battery is shot, which I think is more likely the case.
A similar thing happened to my 2 year old S4 (with a battery that wasn't in the recall batch) where the phone would just charge to 100%, died after a minute or two, than takes 2 hours just to go to the charging screen saying 0% charge.

nah the batterys fine my mother has an s5, albeit stock unrooted and all that jazz and it goes fine in her phone
she actually uses my battery as a spare
EDIT: when i plug it in i can see the led flickering red very faintly
it also heats up rather fast to temps that i would consider not safe for a phone
