No, once you flash 4.4 you cannot go back to 4.3 firmware or roms. Only the SM-N900W8 can do that. Btw, it's not a stupid question, better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the quick reply. Now that I think of it it's not that stupid of a question but I was stupid in the sense that I posted in the wrong forums. This was meant for the AT&T version...

Hmm, there might be something there - in the international Note there is N900W8 which DOES allow 4.4 -> 4.3 and I think I might have seen one of the major US versions with a claim of letting a downgrade 4.4 -> 4.3 but I can't say which one, you will have to look in the AT&T forum to be certain.

agreed; with the new update there is no going back, and there is a neutered/safe alternative version in the android development section of MF3.

Is this for MF3? Don't want to brick my phone. I need to be back to stock without root so I can update my phone. Keeps saying software update interrupted.

Those instructions are fine, but the firmware package is the wrong one. Look in the general section for the MF3 tar files, the thread is like "mf3 update files important to the community"

Hey guys, so I recently failed flashing a rom onto my phone, and now it won't turn on at all. I'm pretty sure the battery still has something left in it, and I've been trying to turn it on to the odin download mode, but the phone isn't giving a response nor is my computer recognizing it. Is there any fix?
What did you try to flash? Pretty sure you hard bricked it.

Live and learn. Always check what you're flashing and only flash what is for your specific device. All s4's aren't the same.

Yup. Just questioning now, I looked at the website and they offer to allow me to chose a rom for them to install. Can they install CM11 or CM10 even if I have the MK2 S4, which only allows TW roms to be flashed?

If you're on mk2, no. I don't think they can, but can they flash mdl on your phone? That would be cool.

Back up EFS before flashing 4.4.2 - it puts 2 files on the SD Card. Or use TWRP to back up EFS whilst on JB.

Unfortunately yes. You can only install the firmware specific for sm n900v. Else you buy a new n9005.
