I just wanted to let everyone know that the T-mobile OTA update JI6 will not unroot the Samsung Vibrant. I was running the Stock Rom rooted and I uninstalled OCLF just prior to update.
Good to know, thanks.

No, once you flash 4.4 you cannot go back to 4.3 firmware or roms. Only the SM-N900W8 can do that. Btw, it's not a stupid question, better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the quick reply. Now that I think of it it's not that stupid of a question but I was stupid in the sense that I posted in the wrong forums. This was meant for the AT&T version...

Hmm, there might be something there - in the international Note there is N900W8 which DOES allow 4.4 -> 4.3 and I think I might have seen one of the major US versions with a claim of letting a downgrade 4.4 -> 4.3 but I can't say which one, you will have to look in the AT&T forum to be certain.
Today I've tried to root with KingRoot and was sucessful and it doesn't tripped the Knox counter.

Yeah, I've tried with FD variant as I writed in the Thread Title. On official site doesn't even have any of A Series models listed on suported devices, so it's a shot in the dark. :fingers-crossed:
I just got tired of those crap bloatware and games, and decided to give a try, and "voilĂ ", I got lucky. :victory:

After root you will keep getting a Notification saying "SE for Android has been disabled..." and asking for restart the device, to get rid of this message disable SecurityLogAgent (doesn't Uninstall, just Disable) GG
