So I'm doing a nandroid on my VS980, and when I restore it.... it doesn't restore everything. It's not even getting half the apps. Am I doing something wrong? It's a backup that's being kicked off by ROM Installer.

When you restore a nandroid do you restore the whole nandroid?

I backed up my phone using Online Nandroid and now when I try to restore the apps don't detect the backup. How can I either manually restore it, or get the apps to detect my backup?
Hi Guys,
I recently rooted+flashed CM12.1 on my D802. Prior to that I made a nandroid as well as a TB Backup. Now I want to restore my LG Quickmemo app, including of course the notes I made with it to the CM I'm running now. Unfortunately, TB apparently didn't backup the QuickMemo app, but I guess my Nandroid should have covered it.
Is there a way to restore this app from the Stock- Nandroid to CM? I already tried Titanium Backup, but I was not able to find the corresponding backup file, since I don't even know what name TWRP assigned to the corresponding app in the backup. It isn't QuickMemo or anything similar, though.
So, is there a way to restore said app from my nandroid without having to restore my Nandroid of the stock rom. I tried that but I got a secure boot error, I don't exactly know why but I guess that it has something to do with the image being of a stock rom and not a custom one.
Help would be much appreciated,
greetz

/edit: I found the app in my nandroid and restore it, but unfortunately it doesn't run. The name of the app is com.lge.app.richnote
I have a twrp backup with all of the partitions backed up. I came from an S5, and when I would brick it or something, I would just boot into twrp and restore from the nandroid I previously made. But, now with the Oneplus 5, when I go to restore with a nandroid, it doesn't let me restore the data partition. I searched for solutions before posting this. The closest solution I found was to use titanium backup pro or similar app, to restore the data. Am I doing something or missing something? I thought when you made a nandroid backup it was just a copy of every aspect of your phone, which could be restored at any point?
You should have read the recovery thread. It says it can't restore OxygenOS data backups right now.
It actually says it will lead to a bootloop if you do. Maybe they disabled that option temporarily.
You can try this.
So last night I performed a Nandroid backup in TWRP recovery.
If I were to format my phone and install a new ROM would the restore from that backup just restore my old ROM?
I guess to preserve app data I just do a backup with just the data not the full backup?
