Hello,
got a LG G2 with 4.2.2 but LG PC Suite doesn't find the update (just came in France so I think I'll obtain it in one or two weeks).
But is there a way to install the update without PC Suite (OTA no available) my phone is not rooted, not modified in any way and has the stock rom.
Is there a way to flash the update ? And if there is, will I lost all my data ? (I knew that Samsung Note 2 (for example) can be updated by flashing the root software without the need to clear all data).
Thank you very much
Nontenda
By France you mean sfr also what model of g2 do you have

it's same way to flash or update your fw...
just set usb debug, and leave it at homescreen position.
yes, you will lost all your data n root. just do a backup before play with kdz thing...
as i know, every fw can read any providers. just maybe they couldn't set automatically APNs for local operators (i'm using 3[three] as my provider, and it's automatically set the APN, but not my local provider). just set it manually n everything should be fine...
I upgraded from 10K to 10Q (im using the GBR/UNITED KINGDOM) and struggle for hours trying to root my phone again. If you are using SuperOneClick to root your phone, the latest version 2.3.3 does not work only version 1.7 works. Hope this helps you
Hi everyone. LG G2 is my first LG phone with android, since I have had only samsung phones untill now(S2, Note2 & Note3) and I 'm new in flashing LG phones.
Well, when I bought G2, it was from T-Mobile, it had 4.2.2 branded. Since I'm living in Greece, I flash 4.2.2 d80210e (open Greece 16GB) and I had no problems since.
Then kitkat was releasted. I ve waited and waited but OTA update never came. I folow the guide in xda forum and tried to flash it, but I was unsuccessful (I have win7 on virtual server in mac os 10.9 so its a little complicate). I plugged the in a friend of mine's pc with lg pc suite and automatically the phone updated to 4.4.2, but my phone was again t-mobile branded!!
After that in my friends pc I successfully flashed the phone to d80220b 4.4.2 open Greece. Yesterday, there has been releasted an update to my firmware in Greece, but no OTA update for me!! When I put my phone in download mode it states "rooted"(!?). Ive never rooted my phone.
Is there a way after I flash the g2 to the latest d80220d open Greece to have OTA update capabilities or is there a way to unable OTA updates now so that my phone will recieve the updates?
Using the stock 20D firmware from LG (with knock code) which I got through an OTA a good 2 months ago, I've had issues with VOIP services in general. Now I know that this is a common issue for those who got the update, but the solutions aren't as straightforward. Due to my increased need for using services like Viber, I'd like to know what I can do to solve the issue.
I tried doing a factory reset already, and installer Viber as the ONLY app to make sure no other 3rd party app was interfering with its function. It didn't help.
Whatever the solution may be, it's preferred that I stay stock and unrooted for warranty purposes.
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
I got a notification on my G2 D802 to update to 5.0 lollipop a while ago but wondering if its safe to do so. I goggled it and found out that some people had some major issues with battery drain and bad wifi performance. Anyway I proceeded to download the LG PC suite to still give it a try however I got this message on startup. " Android 5.0 Lollipop guide
Date : 2014.11.27
For phone or tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later,
phone or tablet will not back up or restore properly due to security on Android.
Refrain from use.
"
Now I am really thinking twice lol.. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it safe to update? Can anyone did it before can advice me?
Q&A not dev section
Crap. Sorry didnt realize.
It's OK go and update it. But if you are happy with Kitkat then don't update it.
Even i was in same situation but then i went n tried updating using pc suit. Cudnt be successful as it started showing error while downloading multiple times.Any advice?

Be sure if you are using the same version as you mentioned. Now a days refurbished phones are being sold on online stores. In which they usually change the parts of the phone , like motherboard . Suppose you are downloading software for 320L but motherboard being used in your phone is from sprint model then you can get into trouble .
got infos using lg phone from, should they be sure no? plus i think phone it's new. That arrived to me with original packaging and really perfect inside and outside
