[Q] - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whats going on...
Quick question. Unsure if anyone else has experience their Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 locking and unlocking itself. For me, it literally just started a couple of days ago and i've notice that my phone will lock itself up when its changing between WiFi, 4G or 3G. Even when dropping the wifi connection, it'll lock itself up. Even more annoying is when you go in to input the password, the screen will turn on when the home or standby button is pushed, flash and turn back off.
I haven't found any solutions on the web. Need help please!
Thanks yall

[INFO] Wake up from standby fix!

Well those of you like myself that were having the issues of hitting the power button only to see a black screen, here is all I did and its been working flawless for 24 hours. Turn of the screen lock! I haven't tested other screen locks yet so maybe its just the default one
If this dose not work for you please post.
Trying this myself now. It had previously happened 3 times to me with the default lock screen. If this does work, that sucks cause I really liked the lock screen... Does anyone know if either of the firmware updates addresses this particular issue? I haven't done them yet was waiting for the new root method which was just released yesterday.
maybe that's why i never had that problem... i always had a pin from day1
I am updated to the latest firmware and the issue still existed. Are you running a battery monitor widget?
turning off screen lock didn't do the trick for me
what worked for me is disable wifi before turning the screening off or go into option and change it so that it never disconnect from wifi will fix the issue for me though

Any way to stop WiFi to go to sleep?

Looked everywhere and couldnt find an answer to this. My Optimus 7 loses wifi almost instantly when i turn the screen off . Anyway to force wifi to stay on all the time?
Aside from plugging in the charger, I don't think so. It's to save power on the assumption that you won't need the connection if the screen is not on.
If you leave it on, it will reconnect when you unlock the screen, and it does stay on for about a minute after you lock it.
Any reason you are looking to leave it on?
im using a prepaid sim. I want to use Im+, have it on for my emails, etc etc
Is ok tho i found a work around. Now my wifi is always on
Mind posting how you got it to work?
I'm sure I am not the only one interested in a work around.

Problems with WiFi Connectivity Since the Last Update....

Guys,
I updated my tab a few days ago. Now the market looks different but unfortunately I'm facing another irritating problem which I have no clue how to solve.
Every time that I turn off the tab, and let it be idle for 10 minutes, when I turn it back on, the WiFi icon will show no bars - which translates into no internet connectivity. That happens while the WiFi button is still pressed (green in the pop-up menu). In order for the device to connect to the net I need to turn the WiFi OFF and than ON and it works.
I checked the WiFi sleep configuration and they are set to "never turn it off" I also rebooted the device but with no change.
Please let me know what to do... as this thing sometimes just drives me crazy.
Thanks.

Flash a custom rom bro. Otherwise you are stuck with Samsung's awesome bugs. If you don't want to flash a custom rom there isn't really much you can do about it considering you're not rooted. What did you update to? KMP???
I did the regular Samsung update -the latest one that was released a couple of says ago. The problem with rooting is losing the coverage I have for insuring the device... which I'm reluctant to do. I'm sure it has a solution somewhere...
Yes I confirm.
This "reconnect" issue is being discussed on many forums with no solutions yet. (except custom ROM)

[Q] Weird Note 3 Bootup/Lock Screen Issue

I have a Galaxy Note 3 running stock firmware on TMobile. It is not rooted or anything special.
I'm running into an issue where whenever it boots up, it comes up quickly, but Bluetooth and Wifi are not enabled (even though they were before when it shut down). Also, the screen lock button doesn't do anything, so there's no way to lock the screen. If I hold down the screen button, it does bring up the Power menu, so I know the physical button is fine.
If I just sit and wait, Bluetooth and Wifi do eventually come on, but it could take hours. Alternately, if I just hit the home button and lock button a lot in no particular order, eventually the lock button will randomly work, and the screen will lock. When I unlock the screen, I can see Wifi and Bluetooth coming on. Somehow the lack of a functional lock screen button and the wifi and bluetooth not turning on are tied to eachother, but I don't really understand why.
Tonight my phone was being a little laggy, so I restarted it, and I wasn't thinking about this bug so I just put it in my pocket while it rebooted. It started up, but since I wasn't paying attention to it I didn't get the lock screen working and the wifi and bluetooth on. When I finally pulled my phone out about an hour later the battery was at 8%. I looked at battery stats, and the battery use is attributed to
Android OS 28%
Media Server 27%
Android System 12%
Screen 8%
Those stats make me think something is getting all hung up when it boots up and causing the OS to just spin and burn battery.
Any ideas? I don't even know where to start. I've googled a lot but it's hard trying to figure out what the right phrase is, since most of my googling results in people who don't like their lock screen or can't get their wifi to connect.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Note 3 with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turning on intermitently

Hi everyone,
I have a note 3 SM-N9005 and I have a recent issue: from one day to another the wifi stopped turning on at will. What happens is that when I try to turn it on, it attempts to turn on but remains in greyed out (kinda) and doesn't turn on. When it does, it remains on for a bit but then it turns off and no longer turns on. It works sometimes after turning on the phone from it being turned off during long times. I don't really know what to do..
If someone has an idea, please let me know.
Oh, and also, does anyone know how to figure out where my Note 3 is from? Like, Poland, UK, Russia.. etc.
The phone is running kitkat 4.4.2
It's official sammy and it hasn't been rooted
Thank you all
