Is it just me?
The phone is great but from time to time my camera app freezes and showes me black background.... Need to reboot which is annoying.....
Problem occurs on any rom
Sent from my SM-G7102 using Tapatalk 2
For me to this happens. Better we should use a good ram boosters like clean master
Sent from my SM-G7102 using Tapatalk
Actually I thought Clean Master caused the problem but although I uninstalled the app, the freezes are still on........
Anyone any idea?
Apart from that problem, I love my Grand 2!
Sent from my SM-G7102 using Tapatalk 2
Use camera 2 pro application. It has more features than stock camera. Or there is a new camera application available now on our forum think lenovo camera. Better try that one.

I installed an app called Full screen and it worked pretty well until I disabled it. At that point, my navigation bar did not come back and it's stayed hidden since. I've rebooted a few times and reinstalled the app but nothing's making the navigation bar appear.
I'm desperate not to have to wipe the tablet and start again so can anyone please suggest anything?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
Download GMD gesture control (adds in multitouch pinching gestures like on the iPad) and enjoy the fact that you no longer have that screen wasting bar across your screen. The navigation bar was the first thing I removed when I got this tablet.
Seriously?
I'm always grateful for any help offered but that's like a doctor telling you to chop your arm off after you go to him with tennis elbow.

Dirty flash your ROM and it should be fixed.

Thank you.
I'm not really sure what that is but can I restore it with a factory reset?

If you mean flashing back to stock: yes that should work.
If you mean clicking factory reset in recovery mode: probably not

I have a weird 'bug' that has been occurring randomly. When I launch the camera using the locksreen widget. App start, camera shows no image and bam, reboot. After they reboot, doing the same thing doesn't cause a reboot. Weird. Anyone else have this 'bug:?

From the other tread by samir_a
Well it happens after the phone restarts it should work not something you should worry about since the processor is completely new there will be lots of bugs you just need to live it for few months before they are sorted out

I see this about 50% of the time I launch the camera from the the home screen. I haven't seen it yet when I launch the camera from the lock screen.
I also have this problem after the update whenever I launch the camera not only from the lock screen.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2
Happening here too, works after reboot though. Think its got something to do with device heat? Cause the other day the cam app force closed cause device was too hot -_-
I am facing this problem but not just open from the lock screen. It happens even when I open other camera app.
And the camera start up time is way too slow compared to my previous Android phones.
auto reboot

Agreed ! Mine is the same... When I launch the camera in whatsapp, it will 100% reboot !
A lot of people got this problem I got it too on my gt-i9500
Go to developer options and change "limit background processes" to 4. It should work.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda app-developers app
my s4 (i9500) has rebooted couple of times whenever I open camera app. (running latest firmware)
I'm also experiencing the same problems, also, sometimes when i tap the take picture button it won't take a picture regardless of how many times I tap the button.
Lets hope update comes soon too fix this .. its getting anoying
Thank god I'm not alone on this. I thought I had a bad unit. And yeah, on mine too it started after the update. It was fine before. It's less frequent now as I wake the phone, launch something else before going to the camera. Avoids an unnecessary reboot. But the camera launch lag is bad. Launching the camera on my S3 was much, much faster.
have the same issue..

This actually worked for me, I haven't experienced any restarts since I limited the background processes. Launching the camera is still laggy though.

Remember if you reboot, the developer options changes to standard. So make sure it's on 4 processers and see if it restars again..

Oh god now i can't wait to know what happens next.same problems on my octa i9500DDUAMDK . India. Can't replicate it everytime , but happens ocassionally when i use the camera the phone reboots....
The lag is not huge, but it is noticeable, especially on first scroll through. noticeably laggier than n4. Any one experience this? I'll try to do a video later.
tmobile version, stock everything, I've uninstalled some of the tmobile apps. Tapatalk set to 50posts.
Since I've had this phone I've experienced no lag either on stock ROM or Trickdroid.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I have both the N4 and the HTC One, haven't noticed any lag in scrolling in Tapatalk or any other app. UI feels smoother in the One, running it stock/unrooted with 1.29 firmware.

Since day one I got my device. It was shipped with 1.27 firmware and updated to 1.29 eleven days ago.
I'm afraid it's the Tapatalk app that does this . I have a Note 2 and a One. The Note with Tapatalk lags, the One with the XDA version works fine...

I have had some issues with tapatalk but find it was network (EE) related. The app has frozen a couple of times also. Other than that it works fie.
Also 8 tracks seems to lag as well.

I have both the n4 and H1 and the only place the n4 is laggy for me is tapatalk, the h1 has no lag what so ever, I swear when I tap the screen to do something it already has it done before I lift my finger off.
I'm on T-Mobile, 1.27. Stock.

I'm wondering if this is a 4.2 vs 4.3 thing.
I also think the one may be throttling harder, which would explain better battery life.
Could be resolution difference. It's harder to push more resolution though.
The only reason I'm worried is the reports off how smooth the phone is. I dont want a lemon phone

It's neither of those things. It's just the app not playing nice with the SoC, just wait for an update and it should be a-ok
So I checked with another one, it's also a bit laggy when using tapatalk and 8tracks.
Both are fa35xx phones.

It's not about which phone batch it is It's purely a software issue that the Tapatalk devs should fix sometime soon
I was experiencing major lag on my s4 which is the reason I decided to stick with the ONE. There is absolutley no lag whatsoever on this device!!

I played with the s4 in hte store. it was very laggy but it's supposed to get better by turning off all the gimmicky stuff. however, the one still noticeably lags for me.
in terms of least laggy (default mode, all stock)
nexus 4 > htc one >> galaxy s4
You could try enabling force gpu rendering in developer options. That helped me with a few different apps, quite immensely.

Alright so I recently got my OPT but I've had a few problems, 1. It gets hot (dunno temp of snapdragon but battery is 40 c at norm usage) 2. My hardware buttons are slower, I tested this, I enabled on screen navigation buttons and used the same app and went to home, super fast, but if I use the hardware buttons it has a 1 to 2 second delay.. Wtf. Any fixes

1. Last update should have helped with heating.
2. On Screen buttons way quicker. I wouldn't say seconds quicker but noticeably quicker.
Maybe you are having hardware issues.
