[Q] Product Code, HOW? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can I know my Galaxy Note 3 product code?
I know, from manuals and box that's an ITV no bran italian phone, and it's black, so it should be SM-N9005ZKEITV but I am not sure.
I didn't find any code to know the exact model, only firmware version (which is ITV as of unboxing).
Any clues?

Install app PhoneInfo. It have what u need: product code, country etc.

Thanks, but I found it in another way It was an nvram item too. I wonder if you change it in nvram what happens.
There are two nvram items, one containing the region only (ITV, DBT, XEH, etc etc) and the other one containing the full model code (and I was right, mine is SM-N9005ZKEITV).

Which region to choose for internationl note

Hey, i have the note and in the regional it "KOR", which one should i change to be international?
i see that all the updates are international first.
There is no 'international' like in sole version that gets updates. It still attached to the region you live or bought the phone.
Recently, the German version has been receiving updates first. Code - DBT
But this is no guarantee that will stay that way.
Cheers.

o.k but i live in israel and the phone is not released in here and the region is set to "KOR".
there are alot of free games that i cant find in samsung apps and i like to know which one is the best to set?
b.t.w - i still didnt see the last firmware update.
Just change your region.
Type this on the phone dialer - *#272*your imei number#

please note that by changing your region you will wipe your phone like doing a factory reset. make a backup first.

no DBT option for me there. Any update getting alternative?

It's for assigning your csc. Which country do you live in? I one of those codes imply yours

Yes. You need to change it. You may face some network problems else. Some have reported it but I never faced it myself.
you should have choose the firmware which is assigned to your country and then choose your respective csc.

[Q] SGS4 origin and how to change it.

I just got my phone, when I opened it I noticed that the first language option that was given to me was spanish (or maybe portugese not really sure) anyway, that got me curious, did my phone come originally from south america or somewhere in the iberian peninsula?
I was sure about this when I opened the browser and saw this locked bookmark from samsung that is in spanish.
anyway, is there anyway to know where my phone originally came from or was manufactured for? and is there any way to change this?
Thank you.
You can search the baseband info on sammobile.com
I found that my ebay purchased unit was bound for Trinidad/Tobago.
Thanks!
Mine is for Colombia (COO)
will it be OK to install a firmware other than the one for colombia? for example I want to change to a firmware from brazil instead or germany.

I'd like to know as well - I'd like to install the latest firmware (I9500XXUAMDM I believe?) from another country as my country (S. Africa) is currently on I9500XXUAMDE

Yes you can guys
flash via ODIN. Download firmware from samfirmware
Surely flashing a different firmware cant change the origin of the phone?
Be careful, your warranty may not be valid if the phones from a different country >. <

Changing CSC whilist updating to Nougat

Hey Guys !
So, my phones CSC code is DDE which means Deutsche Telekom. Currently Im using Slovak O2 SIM card so i don't think its carrier locked.
Now, I would like to change my CSC to BTU because theres 0 chance Telekom will update their firmware in this century.
So the question is, can this brick my phone if something goes wrong ? I heard stories about deleting IMEI by changing CSC etc.

Download and install Phone INFO from Playstore. Check under the CSC CODE tab which country service codes are available for your specific model. Reference that with Sammobile and download the latest firmware.
(Continue ONLY if you've confirmed you have multi CSC on your device in other words more than one CSC to change to)
You'll notice there are 2 CSC files in the zip downloaded from Sammobile. Flash the one that starts with CSC and NOT the one starting with HOME. Your phone will then factory reset so make sure you've backed it up.
Ps!!! Warning!!!
Changing the CSC / product code on your Samsung device may invalidate the warranty. It may also invalidate the Samsung Knox warranty for Samsung devices
that support Samsung Knox. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that flashing the new firmware will work, even when you flash valid firmware.
In many cases, flashing the same firmware a second, or third, time may work.
