I see it has to be decompiled / compiled. Never was successful at that in the past lol.
I would be interested in this as well if it is doable...

You can decompile SecWallpaperChooser.apk, replace the stock wallpapers, and recompile it. It's a hassle if you change wallpapers a lot though.
There is a systemui that I did in the theme section that has the 100% trans status bar and other things done to it. It for odexed roms and has to be pushed to system/app have not made a flash able zip yet... made them before us att users had a custom recovery

None of the mods have just the status bar transparency. They all seem to include other mods?

Try iFont from Play, that may work.
Don't use ROM toolbox or any other font changing app. They will give u boot loops.
First make a nandroid backup.
Download your font and make sure its the same style as the one you want to replace (normal, bold, italic). It also must be ttf, not otf.
Then using a root file manager go to system/fonts and delete the font that you want to replace. Then paste the downloaded font into the directory and change its name to the font that it will be replacing (ex: Roboto-Regular.ttf)
Change its permissions to rw-r-r and reboot.

First things first, YOU'RE DOING A FABULOUS JOB. Keep up the good work :good:
Now coming to my doubt, Can we use the same above mentioned method to change the font style in the STOCK ROM & KERNEL?
If no then please guide how can I change the font style? I prefer not to use third party applications.

Just go here, and download the font packs of your choice. Then boot into a custom recovery and flash. This works fine on stock rom & kernel, but you need root and a custom recovery.

I use Font Installer on my VZW G2, and it works fine. Using the Comic font as we speak. Not sure why you're having issues with it. Using rooted Clean Rom if it matters.

[Q] Nexus 5 KitKat Dialer

One of the things I was looking forward to trying when I got the 4.4.2 update was the KitKat Dialer from Nexus 5. I have used it with custom 4.4 Roms in the past and really liked it. One of the first things I tried when I updated to 4.4.2 was to sideload the .apk. That did not work and just kept FC. I rooted and flasked the .zip, same results. Anyone know of a work around or a way to get this to work?
Try the flashable zip from ParanoidAndroid it's listed on their gapps page as an add on. It works on CarbonRom.

Thanks for the suggestion but that is the zip file I flashed from recovery.
I'm having the same issue (FC when opening Google Dialer after flashing the zip). I'm very interested in a solution to this. Hopefully someone has an idea.
I don't think those will work because they seem to be for AOSP. Use on TW would require some modding.

That's kind of what I figured, but the article referenced the S4 specifically. Don't all S4s have touchwiz?

Yes all do , except for the Google edition. It had TW framework but even using TW apps like the Samsung camera apk took a lot of modding to work.

That'd be awesome if someone could get the legit KitKat dialer to work on 4.4.2 TW ROMs!

+1
I guess I'm in the minority but I actually like TW dialer better. . It's prettier & more functional for me. The dialer screen is one of the uglier screens on my Nexus 5, IMHO. I really don't like the blue on black look.
