Thread name suggestion - Galaxy S III General

Hi everyone,
I recently moved from Note 1 (n7000) to s3 (i9300). On N7000 forum the community had a convention of marking TouchWiz UI based ROMs with "[TW]" and other tags like [AOSP], [PA] , [OMNI] etc. That made it really easy to skim through the forum. however here in i9300 forum I didn't notice any convention being followed, so it might be a good idea to make a rule about naming the threads.

Moved this thread from the Samsung Tab forum where it did not belong.
What is the use of these groups?
This is a dupe of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774092&page=1
And I'll reiterate my thoughts from the other thread:
1)This thread is misleading. It ISN'T an official group. It's possibly even less official than this forum, and there is no reason to believe Samsung is in the group.
2) I STRONGLY feel it actually is a step backwards, because you must be part of the the group to even read threads. To me this seems to suggest it has a greater interest in boosting numbers than encouraging cooperation, and sharing of information.
3) The assumption being made that you can easily blend all the development streams of the Galaxy S variants together is a wrong assumption. Whilst the phones are similar, until developers get together to merge all the drivers into a single rom (to create a universal rom), each phone does need it's own development board.
In that case consider it Closed
Been away a while, but indeed this can be seen as a violation, the thread adds nothing to the information on XDA and is spammy in it's nature.

Note 2 w/Flexible display 12mx camera

The latest 'peek'. True or not...I enjoy envisioning the possibilities.
Have heard of it for years, but having a hard time picturing the practical and aesthetic elements of a flexible screen.
Must research

This could of been added to the existing thread highlighted in the above post. We dont need multiple threads on the same subject, it just clutters this great forum! Please search before posting.

2 development forums?

Whats the difference between the two development forums one says original and the other android? Can you only use stuff from one forum or the other. I've had other android devices but never seen anything like this on the forums.
I noticed this a week ago and was confused by it also, so I Google'd it and apparently it started with the Galaxy S 3. Essentially what I got out of it was that original development is for completely new ROMs from established developers and Android development is for ROMs based off of other ROMs done by both established and new developers. It's kind of a stupid and confusing classification if you ask me.
I saw a suggestion in then thread that I was reading and I thought it was a great idea: instead of splitting it like this make a few different sub-forums under the dev section for the likes of kernels, ROMs, mods, themes and other stuff. It would make it so much easier to find stuff.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Off-Topic Thread

Hello guys, I think you guys lack some of an off-topic thread.
*Yes, I know there is an off-topic forum. BUT they are too "organized" and didn't have general topics. Like daily life, or whatever you want to talk here*
And, Yes. You can chit-chat about anything in this thread (Yes, Anything!), EXCEPT:
1. Anything refers to Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (Both 7" or 10")
2. Anything prohibited in the Global XDA Rules
So, welcome to this small off-topic thread.
As the opening:
The upcoming match of Manchester United vs Real Madrid seems interesting. What team will win, from your instinct?

Forum organization suggestion: I9300 vs I9305

Right now, forums specific to the I9300 and forums shared by both models have the same naming pattern. Only I9305-specific forums are named differently.
This can confuse some people, especially newcomers, who might think e.g. that S3 General is for I9300 only.
To avoid this confusion, I suggest putting "I9300" in the title of forums specific to that model.
Also, it seems the Original development section is I9300-only, so there is no place to post I9305 originals.

it seems the Original development section is I9300-only
No
9305 development has both Original and Samsung as the index says .
