Iffn it was me I would wait for Nexus 7 v2. But I haven't been following the progress of the Note 8 coming to market. But I have the Note 2 and it's a great device.

Update: I got up to speed on the Note 8 features. A few thoughts:
16 GBs on a $400 device???
Tiny speakers on the bottom???
S-pen a plus for some people. I find myself not using it much on my N2 but I do like the feature where when you pull the stylus out a note taking app pops up. And my Swyping accuracy guess way up when using the stylus.
Smart stay where the device checks for eye movement before blanking the screen. I love this on my N2 and it really works.
Multi-window a big plus for those who use it.
It can almost be reduced to Samsung vs pure Android.

I recently bought my Nexus 10 and I notice a few issues with respect to the display of fonts. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 too with me for quiet a while. I was told that the Nexus 10 is superior with respect to the display compared to the Note 10.1. The fonts on the Note are quiet bold and bright while the same on Nexus is very thin and light. I tried increasing the font size but it's still very thin and awkward compared to the Note. Is this because of the higher resolution and ppi of the Nexus? Is there no way to change that?
I am considering getting the 10, and would like to know opinions on this. Can TC include a screenshot of the font?
Have you tried ifonts on app store? you can change fonts on the nexus 7, so maybe the 10. Some fonts might look thicker and bolder....
AFAIK it's about the font used by Touchwiz and AOSP, on my S4 with TW ROM the font was one way, while on AOSP was other . Try that iFont app suggested, may do the work for you
