Play Store Error 110 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I Upgraded to 4.4.2 using mobile odin pro to preserve my knox 0x0 as I am rooted. Now if I try to update apps on play store, I get error 110. And also if I try to install anything, I get error app not installed. I have tried wiping dalvik cache using mop. I do not want to go a factory reset. I have also tried wiping play store data. Can some please help me here

Even if I download it, another issue is I am not able to install any app. I think the issue could me the memory access. But since all these apps are not on my external sd card, why would the internal memory access. Be an issue

App not installed error,error-24,error 403,insufficient storage space(solved)!

So I've seen this error coming up in many forums, mostly people advice a factory reset, reflash of the ROM or something else. As far as I know this solution has not been posted in any other forum(please correct me if I am wrong). Now, this error usually happens to me when I've installed the app before, uninstalled it and I'm trying to install it again(or) when I try to install a paid app from the play store I get an error (-24) or the insufficient storage error. All these errors have the same solution. I've tested it on the HTC One, Note 10.1 and the S3.
Ok here's the solution(I take the app Modern Combat 4 as an example here). I also assume that you are rooted.
1.) Download the app Root Explorer or Root browser or any other similar app from the play store.
2.) Next in root explorer go to /data/data.
3.) Look for the package name of the app you're installing. Eg. For MC4 com.android.gameloft.ANMP.GloftM4HM.
4.)Delete the package.
5.)Try installing the app now, it SHOULD install.
Note:If it still doesn't work for you, go to /data/dalvik-cache and try locating the file and delete it.
I hope I helped someone here because when I had this problem it pissed the s**t out of me and I couldn't find any real help. If it helped you please press the thanks button!!

But I have not rooted

Unable to download certain apps says " insufficient storage available"

Unable to download certain apps says " insufficient storage available" this is just some apps and there is sufficient storage as I don't have many apps. Also now I keep getting a notification "an application requires your attention" and it's google play services saying it needs an update when I install it it says "insufficient storage available" this started happening after I update to mf9 from the rooted older version. Also my phone now instead of taking only seconds to boot now takes like 2 minutes...
I'm on 4.2.2, mf9, rooted with cf root and I've only done a couple mods hotspot, camera ....
Help please!!!
You probably have extra nandroid backups stored on your device. Try and clear those through cwm?

how would I go about doing that?
Go to cwm and go to backups and restore. Find an option that says delete backups.
Delete every backup and then make a fresh new one.
How big are your backups, generally?

I downloaded lucky patcher to see if it would work and clear the cashe but it did nothing. I can download any new app just can't update some.
The most space being used is the "system memory" which is using 6gb of data then the next one is apps but that's just 1gb

Try this old post I wrote but it seemed to work for a buddy of mine recently. Couldn't hurt to try.
I had this exact problem right after doing the hotspot mod off qbkings site. Eventually after clearing cache and resets I couldn't get the phone to make it through boot into Android. It was giving me google.transport errors or something. I gave up and ODINed the stock rooted mf9 rom back to it. Phone is fine now, has been for a week or more, but I'm leary of trying to hotspot mod again...although I really need it.

Your first problem was using qbkings site for files instead of getting them from the xda forum where the instructions and files are the correct ones. Almost all problems with the hotspot mod are caused by either installing the wrong file or a bad download of that file. You MUST know whether you are "ODEXED" or "DEODEXED", after you know that, then you need to make sure you know what firmware you are on, MF9, MDL, MDC. Once you have that info, you go to crawj's thread in the development section and download the correct zip file and install in recovery. If you matched the correct file with your firmware and odexed condition than you will not have any problems. I can't believe how many people rely on these how to videos that are usually so out of date that they are dangerous to follow.
Spoken like a true know it all...thanks.
Stock rooted MF9 ROM using the MF9 odexed version services files.
Xfered files manually via ESfiles. Causes issues with new installs...
I don't have a custom recovery to flash from. I odexed the ROM in there.
and alot of times, if not most, qbking references the original files on xda.
Try this!

Delete the Folder 'lost+found' in the system storage.. Works under CM 10.2
Use lucky patcher.
It shows insufficient storage because some file of the app already exists in your sdcard.(if you had installed the app before and removed)
By using lucky patcher, It automatically finds the unused .odex file and deletes it. You can then install the app successfully without any error

Insufficient storage

Hey all.
I'm running 4.3 with it being unlocked and rooted using the program and steps created by Wugfresh.
I have about 26 gigs of free storage space on my tablet but anything I try to download from the Google Play store, I get an insufficient storage error.
It started when I tried using Lucky Patcher to remove some of the ads found in certain apps.
I can install apps just find if I use an .apk file.
Any help on this?

Try clearing cache and data from the play store and play services. Then reboot and see if it works. Maybe use ad block the next time

I'm getting this exact same error, but only on a few apps like Facebook, DropBox and IMO. All other apps install fine and I can install apps from the Amazon store.... weird.
I have tried to whole the play store data and cache, no go though.

I believe it's a Play Store 4.3 bug, my tablet worked fine with 4.2.2 and my S4 appeared those bugs as well when I updated, maybe you should try uninstalling Play Store updated and/or clearing its cache, I didn't try yet, but may give out something.

I experience something i think is related:
I've put my vacation movies and picutres on the tablet and I 've just 1,8 Gb of free space left on it. Everything runs good. I opened the play store to update some apps and then it started lagging hardly.... It0s not the first time happens to me. I've already went back to full stock one time formatting everything, but same problem.... I'm JWR66Y rooted with SuperSU. The first time i had this problem i cleared the Dalvik cache via CWM, but nothing changed.
If i can I try to clear the Play Store cache....
Any other ideas???

Same here. JWR66Y and SuperSU.
There was some option in Lucky Patcher and after I clicked on it, no more troubles.
I think it had something to do with clearing the overall cache or something.

Yeah, it's an app.
It will let you remove Google Ads from many installed programs.
Tried the cleaner, still no go for me. I've got about 1.8GBP free... still some new apps update fine while others fail. Sound like it's time to do a full Rom refresh install.

Ok, a full wipe and clean install worked. Prior to this I even removed 50% of my apps... and still no go. Something must have got screwy with a dirty update.
For anyone else that runs into this.
Try a cache cleaner, app cleaner, then uninstall large apps, if all else fails, do a factor reset (except external memory/aka SD) and you should be good to go.
Ran SD Maid system clean. It removed almost 100mb of data in lost directories, seemed like mostly log files. This fixed it for my wife and I (we have the same phones, i777). We couldn't update google apps before i tried this, all other apps updated just fine.

Why this has not been fixed i do not know.
There are one of two problems that i know of that cause this.
1- there's some sort of remnant of a previous install still on your device and it won't install over the old files.
Find the folder and delete it or all the contents.
2- Something is screwy with the playstore app or google play services.
(going from memory here) clear cache of both apps and reset to factory versions. (you may have to clear data as well)
Visiting the play store will update the app again and things should work. you may need to restart your device.
This has been a problem since at least 2.2. I can't imagine a casual user is going to want to do the work to fix this very often if at all.
I'll have to check it out when I get home, I can't really do it at work

Foreground apps crash with no errors

Hello
I have this problem. whenever I open play store and apply updates or install new apps, the play store crashes and the updates are interrupted until I re-open it and resume the update manually. This doesn't seem to happen when the updates are done in the background automatically without opening the store first. I have already tried uninstalling, deleting cache and data, reboot etc. but the problem persists.
I have the Samsung Galaxy note 3 SM-N9005 LTE version with rooted kitkat 4.4.2

I see that very few people have this very annoying issue
I just don't want to resort to factory reset. I mean I know it will probably fix it but I just don't feel like setting my phone up again from the start which is time consuming, besides, what would be the purpose of this wonderful community if all problems were solved by wiping up one's phone.
I was wondering if the cause could be some poor memory management or bad cleaning/anti-virus apps interfering with the memory management I mean I am a complete noob in terms of android management but I assume when there are multiple apps being downloaded/updated at the same time it must consume a great deal of resources but for an app to crash without even the popup message that says "....has stopped" I have never seen before

Maybe you try to get a appstore.apk, delete your's wipe Cache and then install the apk.
I would also recommend data wipe though cause with backup (I use titanium) it'll be less time consuming than everything else. Just backup user data and you won't have to set it up again. The thing is it's not guaranteed that the problem lies within playstore and since we don't have your phone in our hands it is nearly impossible to point you to the exact fix.

well... speaking of backup I also use titanium and nandroid, thank god for that because earlier I tried something stupid (suggested here on XDA though) I cleared the app store cache and data which is fine because I did it before with no problem but then I cleared the google services framework data/cache, I wish I hadn't because it literally messed everything up. I was unable to connect at all to the store even though I had a good network connection. thank god it worked again after I restored the app/data
I can live with that issue. it's not such a hassle since I usually check the play store for updates every day at least. but I may try your first suggestion though. thanks 4aces

As you wish b careful though. I think (definitely not 100% sure) you have to put the apk file in device/system/apk with es file Explorer or root Explorer and than put the permission to rw rr.
That's why I recommend full wipe.

thanks for the link. maybe I could try to update it as my version is 4.6.17 which is older than 4.8.19 and see if there is a change. One thing I don't understand is that one can only disable it and not uninstall it so does that mean it's a system app even though it's not in the /system/app folder? should I convert it to user app with titanium prior to update?

One more suggestion. Try to open application manager in settings and select all. Look for download manager and clear the cache then reboot.
If it doesn't help wait for other replies or wipe data will have to do the work.

I tried that but didn't help. then I tried to update and move to system, made it even worse as play store crashed as soon as I hit the update button. Reinstalling the app wouldn't help so I had to restore a nandroid backup. I'm giving up now but won't waste time doing a wipe data because it's not a real issue since I'm able to update anyway by hitting the button and close play store right after. All my apps still update in the background anyway
