I m on verizon lg g2 and im stuck in recovery with my system completely wiped. I cannot get drivers installed to read ADB for the life of me. I've tried them all including the universal drivers. Im not too familiar with the whole adb thing and or working with a computer so if someone could step by step me a procedure on how to either flash back to sock or get a rom on my phone that can be flashed, anything to get it working, I am rooted.
PLEASE HELP ME!
driver installation failing
Bump for help
I have a similar issue with my sprint LG-LS980 [STOCK] Rooted I've tried multiple LG drivers but my computer (windows 7) tells me that the driver installation has failed every time I plug in my phone. I am still able to transfer files with wireless storage.
I need either getting the drivers to work or flashing back to stock rom without using a usb transfer cable
what I did
Hey I had a similar problem, could only get on cwm, couldn't get adb to work after the ota.
I did what this person suggested and installed pdanet drivers on my computer and it worked great!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563527
I then went to cwm to sideload, I sideloaded twrp then did what this guy said:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
good luck!
Still no luck connecting my lg with the pdanet drivers

Hello,
after trying out a few roms i wanted to go back to stock and wanted to have a completely clean device.
So i went booted to TWRP recovery and wiped everything i could (including the currently installed ROM and internal storage).
So I wanted to mount USB to copy the ROM on my device but it doesn't connect to the PC.
So I'm stuck in recovery and have no idea how to connect it.
I hear the sound of the PC recognizing a USB connection but then comes that USB error sound you hear when it fails to connect.
Please help
Of course it doesn't. Internal storage is not UMS.
Use adb to push files.
Also, if you want to go back to stock you don't use recovery. Use the bootloader and fastboot.

Can you please explain why UMS had been disabled on custom ROMs? It was so easy to transfer data to memory using UMS!

I did try to push via adb but as I said the USB didn't connect
but thanks I did go back to the thread u posted and noticed there are two links for the drivers
it seems that the 2nd one (it's the one I had installed) doesn't actually include adb drivers so my device couldn't connect
well so I installed the drivers from the first link and it's resolved thanks a lot!
can anyone tell my y my adb does not see my device?? i downloaded the drivers that i believe were the ones for the vs980, if those are the wrong ones please tell me.
i still managed to get root but now i need to push recovery but it doesnt see my device....
Lg stock drivers don't seem to help pc to see phone in recovery I installed pdanet and downloaded lg drivers through it and now adb works.

I owe you more than that thanks. This is incredibly useful info!
Backstory:
Flashed 800 radio on 802 (curiousity...)
Didn't have 802 radio on device to flash back
802 in bootloops
google usb drivers wouldn't install
@lingarajug saved my sanity and taught me something
I love how much I can learn on xda-dev...
Hahahahahhahahaha they say curiosity killed the cat, I was in the worst situation like you were but I tried copying new Rom and gapps to sdcard and flash and went into recovery and curiously cleaned everything in advanced wipe and left with phone with no Rom to boot and no file to flash I did sleep all night and finally my old ideas came through and found pdanet and since then have been spreading this message around, glad that it helped u.

Hi guys, I made a mess today. I decided to restore my stock LG software backup and everything went well. Then there were some LG updates and when they downloaded, I chose to install them. That took me to TWRP. I figured it needs the stock recovery to install the updates so I gave up on the updates and tried to reboot my device. It booted back to TWRP. I found it a bit weird, but I didn't care since I had a backup on the phone. I wiped data, cache, system and dalvik and restored the backup. Guess what, the phone would still only boot into recovery. I started freaking out so I wiped everything except internal again and flashed an AOSP based rom along with the gapps. Still wouldn't boot except recovery. Then I started to freak out even more and decided to wipe EVERYTHING, along with Internal storage. And here I am now, wiped every single thing on the device, stuck in recovery and can't connect my phone to the PC with usb. just a few minutes before I have to leave home. Any ideas on how to fix this? It was just some pointless LG update and it caused such a mess... ADB sideload won't work for me, I'm gonna attempt to find some drivers or something.
Anybody?

Dude, I've done my research and tried to fix it myself. The phone won't go into download mode and it won't connect to my PC. Drivers installed, LG tool installed. I just don't know what to do and I need help from someone who does know.

If you have twrp 2.6.3.4 you sideload rom but this may not help you.
You are going to have to go back to 100%stock.

In TWRP you have USB-OTG. If you have this cable you can install ROM from USB-flash)
I had the same issue. Only way to fix it was with the LG flashing tool. Make sure the usb port you are using on your computer is working and the cable isn't broken. I just followed the steps from this thread and it worked 100% for me.

Hi,
I was trying to flash cloudy g3, I put in all the files necessary into the phone, went to the recovery and wiped everything including internal memory.
Now I am stuck as I cant transfer anything into my phone.
PC doesn't recognize it, so I can't use adb sideload.
I can get into download mode and recovery
I tried using OTG but TWRP won't mount it.
I tried using back to stock method but since the computer doesn't recognize it, there is no way to do that.
Please help
What is the model of the phone ?.

Was at the same Situation,. Just search for some other drivers, for me the general drivers worked, not the lg ones
Just fixed the problem, for some reason the flash drive I was using was not working with otg, tried a different one and it worked,
Thanks guys
I recently used blastagators patch to use d802 ROM on my d800, I had a backup and everything on an external hard drive which I used for everything . I wanted to switch Roms and have clean install so I wiped but when I tried to use hard drive the hard drive would shut off half thru. Managed to install d802 ROM but not fully and unpatched. Tried to LGFlashTool but it wouldn't accept the D800 tot even with SuperSports's tool. My download works but not to full extent and no fastboot. My device comes out as AndroidNet. I have unbricked before but now I'm stuck and I'm not the best at Ubuntu. Any suggestions and/or instruction if anyone has gotten out of this. Thanks

Update: I've tried almost every way to fix, when I connect windows shows Androidnet as device and download mode isn't detected as anything. I really want to fix my phone and I can't seem to get answers. A directional help is greatly appreciated. I flashed a d802kdz in efforts to restore some kind of workability but flashtool stopped with a "booting error".

Have you installed Lg drivers? Also, can you provide screenshots of your errors?
