Have you tried downloading the USB driver from LG for your phone?
(Link here)
Also, have you tried using LG Flashtools rather than the LG recovery tools? LG Recovery tools does not detect my AT&T LG G2. With the LG Flashtools you can restore your phone back to stock using a .tot 'image' file, no weird or fancy drivers, just install the USB drivers from the LG website link I provided.

Hello,
I've been using my LG G2 for 3 months. when I first get it, I update it to kitkat immediately then rooted it after a month. Then I tried to install cwm but failed (at that time I didn't realize that cwm for kitkat hasn't been released ). I got secure boot error when I try to go into recovery but still can use my phone. I got another ota update but when I try to install it, I'm stuck in recovery and cannot start my phone normally also my phone cannot be detected by pc. Then it's still stuck in secure boot error until now. Please help thank you.

back to downloadmode, flash via lg mobile support tool, obtainable via the lg website. There is an option emergency recovery, that should do the trick.
or, try to search for the solution of doing ota on custom recovery. It shouldnt be done on this phone, custom and ota
I was trying to go to download mode by holding volume up button + power button but it was no luck, it forces me to recovery section and because of that my phone is not detected by pc

Hello everyone!
My LG G2 D802 is bricked!
Two day ago I tried to flash twrp recovery in order to install some custom roms.
I used the autorec method, but the phone now is stuck on the LG logo.
I can boot in download mode (vol+ and plug usb cable) but the LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL does not work !
I've also tried the OFFLINE method but it still does not work (seems the usb is not properly connected, but the drivers are just fine)
I've no more fastboot (think i messed up with something by using adb fastboot because i flash a bad recovery.img) and now
if I try to boot into recovery (by pressing vol - and power) it says: secure booting error - error: Boot Certification Verify! than the display turn black and if I plug the USB cable windows says that I need to format the disks...
I've also notice that in the usb devices there is a QHSUSB_BULK which is not proprely installed, so i tried to use this method :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
but Ubuntu is not able to detect the device!
What i've to do?
Thank for suggestions
EDIT: ok, problem solved using ubuntu!
Ok good u figured it out. I was gonna suggest fastboot. Reflash recovery. That worked for me. When i have black screen and white letters top left corner of screen

Did you have Twrp or Cwm installed before update the phone?
You can NOT update your phone if you hav a custom recovery : (
no i have'nt twrp or cwm my phone is breaked i have only fastboot
You need to restore your phones download mode, recovery, logo, etc... .img files. Then, when you have restored all of that you need to flash your ROM using the .tot method/file using LG FlashTools. I made a tut that will help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/mega-tut-how-to-fix-bricked-lg-g2-t3055033

Hello guy's,
i have quiet a strange issues with my lg g2
I was on Cloudy flex (Kitkat) with my rooted G2 and wanted to try out the new Lollipop Cloudy ROM.
So i flashed it using TWRP.
It did not work and i Realized that i should have bin on Android 5.0 stock before flashing.
So i went back to 4.4.2 Stock ROM using the LG flash Tool and a kdz file.
Now the Phone is working fine, but there is no way to got to Download or Recovery mode anymore.
I did not expect TWRP to be installed anymore but i don't even have the stock Recovery and much more important no download mode.
Can somebody help me?
Try quickboot to boot to recovery.

i think i bricked it now!
i was able to root the device and i installed Flashify.
Than i flashed laf.img with flashify according to that FIX: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706590
Now i cant do anything regardless of what i do the LG logo comes up and stays there for ever.
Even when i plug in the USB cable only the LG Logo pops up.
At least i can still see it in device manager but i can not find it in CMD using that instruction:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
Nobody an idea?
Because i ran out of them!
Well you are doing stuff on your own m8.
You will get a secure brick this way.
More info needed..what is your device recognized as ?
HELP!No download mode, neither goes to fastboot mode, bootloop!
Hi.
My lg d801 is in bootloop/bricked after kdz, what might be the fix ?
I can go to stock recovery but if i confirm with power button to factory reset, it just freezes. Pc wont detect, tried both, universal drivers and lg drivers. Also in bootloop.
Try flashing a tot file with the other flash tool provided in the forums.
