Hi all. Has anyone else been experiencing an issue with saving photos to an external SD card? When I take photos and save them to the external, they come out looking blurry, not like bad quality blurry, but like motion blur blurry. I will try multiple times to take a good picture, and will hardly ever get one. Then, when I switch to internal storage, the camera shoots perfect pictures on the first shot. I have tested this many times so I know it's not a coincidence. Will a factory reset solve this issue? I have a good quality new 64GB class 10 micro SD so I know that is not the issue. And also, I'm not rooted. Running latest 4.3 firmware. Thanks

I posted this in the Nexus one forum since this is the phone i use but have not gotten any responses in over a week. This might be the more appropriate section of the forum.
My gallery pictures have been disappearing by chunks at a time. A few months back i lost maybe 100 pictures. Starting at around 700, noticed some missing and was at 600ish. Today im down to 120's. I do not believe this is my SD card crapping out because i often use it for large files and they are fine, its an 8bg San Disk C6. Also the card is maybe 1 year old.
Has anyone else had any pictures disappearing? My most recent photo in my gallery is now dated at 7/8/2010. There were photos on here from 2008 when i got my old Fuze.
I had a buddy that went through like 5 Moto Droids and 6 SD cards because they were losing pictures of his newborn daughter. He wasn't too tech savvy so he just insisted android sucked and is now using a Rumor or something
So I've heard of stuff like this happening before, but I never found out what the solution was. Sorry.
Really, interesting, thanks for the reply i appreciate it. I was about to buy a new 8gb SD card just in case. I have not lost any pictures in the last maybe 2 weeks, its very random it seems. The only thing i do that is hard on my SD card is occasionally, a few times a week load like 4+ GB of files on and off a few times. Taking my work home with me and back to work. But i didnt think this should have any impact.
No one else?
I lost 100+ pictures and 10 videos on my EVO. It happened out if no where because it wasn't long before that I was looking at them. After a reboot, I remember that I tried to access the photos but none of the pictures or videos where there. I basically lost a lot of photos with very little warning, so I keep backing them up now. I still remember the gallery app going from 197 to 14 in the camera shots. This is the same 16 gig microsd card that I had on my Touch Pro 2, and I never had that problem.
I thought the sd card wasn't mounting, but I used Astro File manager and could explore everything without any issues.
I still have no idea what the cause was... Switching kernels, ROMs, radios, and factory resetting hasn't made the issue come back again, so who knows what the cause was.
Is this an issue related to rooting your phone?
I just noticed I lost about 12+ pictures and about 5 videos from my G2 after I just recently rooted my phone.
I double-checked with some file managers, connecting the phone via USB Mass Storage and the photos and videos just disappeared!!!
Can ANYONE help diagnose what's going on here?
My wife has a UK stock unbranded S, updated to GB via Kies. Things have generally been ok for the couple of months she's had the phone, but I think there's a pattern forming of wibbles after she's record a video.
On Froyo, shortly after recording a video the phone rebooted leaving both internal and external SD cards corrupted with stuff in lost.dir. Videos and most photos gone.
On GB, shortly after recorded videos the phone stuck with black screen (wouldn't wake up). Had to pull battery to reboot. Videos gone (but nothing in lost.dir this time).
I initially though it might be down to the external SD card, but the last occurence was using the internal for storage.
There were probobaly other similar glitches she didn't bother to 'report'. All seem to be shortly after/during taking videos. Photos seem to be ok though.
Does this sound like a hardware fault? I can't see anything similar in the forums so I'm assuming so?

I have read numerous accounts of people being disappointed with the video capability of this phone. I have experienced numerous times that while taking a video the video will temp. freeze. After some trouble shooting with different kernels, ROMS, camera apps, and everything else i have found the reason for this freezing. It seems that if you use sd card for storage by selecting choose sd card storage within the camera app the video will always have tendencies to freeze do to the write speed limitation of the sd card. I have a 32gb class 4 and the write speed is not enough for the high quality video to write without problems. If you are fortunate enough to have a class 10 this may not happen. I have also found that selecting internal memory when using ROMS such as CM7-CM9 although CM9 does not have a working video camera yet, the problem is not present. Just wanted to share for those who bash the Atrix but won't go to another phone and stop *****ing.
Happened 3 times for me when I run camera from locked phone. It makes a sound of taking photo but won't take any photo. When unblocked after then doesn't work ether. Just restart is fixing.
Have you noticed any similar?

Try going into settings>applications and finding the camera app. Clear cache and data for the app and restart device. It's probably just due to buggy software and not a hardware issue if you're not getting any black screena or errors since the camera module itself is still functioning. Also see if changing the saving location to SD or Internal storage makes a difference.
Oh no... I have galaxy s7 edge new, and only today I started filming videos ...
and I noticed that I had a serious problem!! From what I understand, many people suffer from this problem.
The problem is: On time I went into the camera on the phone, And started filming videos, When you finish recording
I went to the gallery, Watch what I photographed, I was horrified to discover There is video static noises/clicking noise.
Maybe call it even - popping noise ?
It's annoying! Does anyone else have that problem here? The problem is known to Samsung?
Please respond to me
are you recording into a SD CARD?
yes
the problem is your sd card. You need a sd card with high write speed. like this (Up to 95MB/s Read and 90MB/s Write speed with Class 10 and U3 compatibility) I have the same problem like you.
Or low the quality and resolution and make a record and check it.
sorry for my english
Good luck.
Even when the SD card ,out, it happens
