I bought the lg g2 F320L/S for the removable battery and the sd card slot, its quad band lets me use a straight talk micro sim (at&t). I got it to do college on and finaly use my Post 911 GI Bill. Ive had no problems with it, and becouse of when i bought the phone, i knew i would have to do a few months worth of kit kat LG up dates, and so did them at my leisure, but after did the (december i think) update for the phone it did its normal download and restart process as useual, but now i cant get data with my service. Im on wifi rite now just to send this to you. I did the January updata with wifi, hoping it would fix the problem but it hasnt helped. I even did the factory reset, and i still cant get any data. I can send and receive texts and phone calls just fine.
I think its because of the up date but i did charge it for a night with a random charger. Because its the sk, it uses 220v and came with a 220v wall plug, so ive just been using the usb cord it came with and my computer to charge it, and the night before i noticed it i had to use a random micro usb charger (not the LG micro usb it came with..) and some random 110v usb outlet plug. I wasnt home and badly needed to charge it.
Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my $700 phone?!?!? Anything anyone can tell me would greatly appreciated! Thanks

Heya,
I've got a blue angel and lost the cable to connect it. Now i still want to upgrade the phone. Would it be possible to do it without the cable. Like bluetooth (don't think so) or through the SD card. Don't think so neither but don't have any way to connect it.
I don't use the cable for syncing or anything and it's kind of a waste to buy a cable for 50 euro's just to upgrade to windows mobile 6.
i dont think the BAs bootloader can flash from sd card - although i could be wrong
kick ass, how should that work?
You Can NOT Flash using BlueTooth!
GWD, You CAN NOT flash a ROM without a cable.
Seriously Flashing a new ROM is dangerous enough without taking the additional risk of bluetooth or wifi, even if you could I would not do it that way.
I am always careful enough to do it with a fully charged battery, and use a laptop with a batery so if the power goes off I don't brick [read destroy] my device.
Get onto eBay and buy yourself a new cable. See below for an example of one that took me 30Seconds to find on the Australian eBay site for $3.99+p&h

Hmmm well I've missflashed my universal about 50 times and was always able to fix it. But i get the point about the cable hehe
only thing, in holland nobody uses ebay so cables are hard to find here. only for 50 euro's being about 75 US Dollars
Anyways I'm just going to try to borrow one than I guess, thanks for the advice
give www.gigata.com a try. I got a couple of cables really cheap from them. Problem is he just got hacked so give them a few days to get up and running again.

I also have an Asus A636N PDA... that one flashes only from SD card. You copy the nbf to an SD formatted as FAT32, and run an exe from it.
Please help I have a LOT of important things that I want to transfer to my computer especially contacts.
Is it possible that I can transfer some contacts to the sim from the phone memory? I never saw an option for that.
on top of that, the phone cannot charge so I cant even get any important numbers that I need! please anyone can you let me know if this phone is a goner...
yes u can copy the contacts form to ur sim BUT the thing is that the copying is kinda limited for me it would usually copy only one number and thats it all the rest of the info for that contact wasnt able to be copied
the program is usually in the program folder and is called Sim Manager
???
is it possible that the USB port can be fixed at all? this phone has soo much for me to get off of it, I atleast need to be able to hook it up to the computer...
If you're in the UK, I've used this company to fix my USB port and they provided an excellent service

its funny I long on in regards to that same problem. my usb port doesn't look damage, but it dosent react to my charger or usb cables. I thought it was my battery. so I bough a battery off ebay thank goodness it already had 70% charge. I also ordered a charger want see if I need a specefic charger for it to be detected. I'm willing to pay to fix the usb, but I'm in the usa.
I had the same problem recently and based on the board, the usb port wasn't really soldered that well. Anyway, maybe there's a hardware store that repairs there, that's what I did. Of course, I'm sort of pissed that the guy broke the volume slider. Now it just sets the volume to max or to minimum. Btw, If you do get your usb port fixed, max sure to test if the pc can read and write on the wizard. When I got my phone back, it could only read.
I've tried this on a hub and a USB port on the PC itself. The phone doesn't even recognize being plugged in on a USB port.
On the PC itself though, it connects and I can browse the files within for a few seconds and my phone then disconnects itself and connects back right after. And everytime it connects, there's a vibration so it's pretty much non stop vibrations. This is extremely annoying. I can't transfer any files over. Currently using Wireless Storage. Cr*p speeds but at least it gets transferred. Any idea what might be the problem? On a D802, rooted and with TWRP installed.
Mine will do this when charging in the car via USB. If playing anything out gets paused. Sux

Bump.
Huh i thought i was the only one. My G2 does this too. My PC is pretty old and it was on Win 7 and MTP didn't work. So i formatted my 4yo Win 7 to Win 8.1 and now MTP works. It's definitely much faster than Wireless Storage/OSP/3rd party app but what's the point if it keeps disconnecting.
Another thing is, it does happen to my thumbdrive as well. Just that with the G2 it's much worse until i can't transfer any files at all. So the super slow wireless is the only option.
Any solution? Or do i need to upgrade my PC lol.
Try changing the port. Maybe the usb cord is loose or the port itself. This happened to my S2 after dropping it. Maybe the motherboard was moved inside i dunno and after that it keeps connecting and disconnecting when i plug it,
I think you all suffer from too less power throughput from charger/cable/port.
It's like the same when you do not use the supplied charger but another brand your phone will not fast charge.
I was thinking the same too because it doesn't happen when i plugged the phone on another PC.
So the solution is, unplug unnecessary devices and it shouldn't disconnect anymore. If it still happens, try not doing anything on the pc while data is transferring. At least it works for me.
I am also rooted and the problem only seems to happen when the screen turns off and then locks. If I unlock, it comes back.
same problem
I've used my I9300 on stok ROM, no problem, i've flashed ArchiDroid V2.3.4, and the problems apeard. conecting the phone to pc via usb, it connect's and deconnect's, i'm not able to copy anything to/from phone. I guessed it was a problem with the ROM, so i've flashed Resurrection Remix® 4.4.2 KitKat , but the same problem....don't know what's the problem...a little help pleeeeeaseee
PS: changed the usb cable(cord), the usb port, uninstall the drivers and reinstall them...
(off topic...who copied who on ROM...archidroid<->kitkat)
C'mon....i like archidroid...but i need the usb connection 2 PC, i can't live without it
Problem fixed.
I had exactly the same problem as this, I tried different USB slots (even USB 3.0), I tried resetting the phone several times but still it didn't work.
But after changing the charger back to my original iPhone one, it worked perfectly! Probably isn't that wise buying cheap chargers online tbh http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Edit: Figured out the problem. Turns out the stock cable that came with the Note crapped out on me after a few weeks of working. Good job EVGA...
Before the KitKat 4.4.2 update I could use my MicroUSB cable to send and receive data to the Note. After installing the update I could only connect it to my PC extremely sporadically. I've had to sit by the port and plug-in pull-out the cable until it finally got recognized by my computer. Of course at the time I didn't know of the SD Card fix and every time I've tried since then doesn't work. Yes, I have Developer options and the USB connection options checked.
I know people have been having problems with the SD Card but each person was still able to flash their Notes because they could send and receive data to install the fix. I can't even get to that point and everything I've read has been super broken up and sporadic so any help would be greatly and sincerely appreciated.
Hello. I'm from Mexico and bought SM-A7100 by Internet. Recently, I plugged an OTG USB cable on V8 phone connector. After this, phone lost fast charge and USB data transfer.
On official Samsung repair and service center in my country, technician told me probably sub PBA part (charge system) is damaged but this is not available here. Is it possible to get imported part for this phone model via Internet? Any suggestions? Is charge system expensive?

I really hope you found a solution. Ive been looking an answer for this annoying problem for 6 months!
Ive read almost 50 threads in differents forums about this problem but no solution at all.
- Tried changing charging port. Cost me a few dollars but no solution.
- Tried USB debugging on and off from developers menu.
- Did MTP+ADB option in *#*#0808#* menu.
- Turned Low Battery Dump "on" in *#*#0808#* menu.
- Tried 10 or more different original Samsung cables.
- Upgraded PC USB drivers.
None of them worked for me.
Hope you have made a progress.
Thank you for your response and for your best wishes. I have changed charge port too without success, but it appears the problem is related to logic board of the phone. Since it's a hardware issue, I left the search for a solution. If I get a favorable result, then I'll inform the procedure to you. Best regards.
