Is your phone turned off? You have to power off your phone. Plug in USB in PC (Do not plug in phone yet), HOLD volume up. While holding volume up plug in the USB cable to the phone. Then a screen should say " Download Mode"
The phone must be powered off completely.
Branchez le câble au PC (pas sur le téléphone).
Éteignez le téléphone complètement.
Maintenez le bouton d'augmentation du volume.
Tout en maintenant le bouton d'augmentation du volume.
Connectez le téléphone au câble.
(I hope the French somewhat helps you more )

If you describe exactly how you ended up in this situation and what kind of error messages you get when it boots, then I might be able to help you.

QUOTE :: You have to press and hold Power+Volume up and then connect usb to pc
NOT correct , ONLY Volume up and then connect usb to pc .. in download mode ! :good:

I was unable to boot into Download Mode with the buttons, so I went into TWRP and typed in a command that put my phone into Download Mode. Don't remember the original post where I found it though.

Reboot loop recovery due update. Here is a simple second solution.

you do not take the head.
when you are stuck, so press power and volume down at the same time and keep pressing.
G2 seteindre will then turn back, wait until it's "turn off a second time before releasing.
then you can start your download mode to update official firmware level.
I repeat.
support long you stay.
your phone should turn off and then back on and then turn off again.
Only after this you can release power and volume -.
Sorry my language google translate
Please post it in your language. Someone will do a proper translation I guess.
Thanks.
OK
etendre votre mobile
volume bas + power, attendez que le LG s'eteind puis se rallume et s'eteind pour la seconde fois. puis relacher.
une fois eteind, passer en mode download.
volume haut + cable usb au pc

[GT-S5369] No recovery, no download mode and stuck on lockscreen

Hello there,
Someone gave me his phone because it was stuck on the lockscreen, as he doesn't remember the passcode.
I decided to give it a try by resetting, but there is no access to download nor recovery mode. When I press vol down/up + home + power, the GT-S5369 logo shows up then screen goes black... and again same logo. Then it boots normally and I can't bypass the lockscreen pin code.
I installed the drivers, the device is somehow recognized but as I can't access it and allow USB debugging... adb interface is lame in this case (btw the Android SDK is installed correctly on my PC).
Another issue: battery full, but the phone turn off and display a warning icon.
Thanks for helping please

Il a fait quoi avec son téléphone ??
What did he do with his phone ?

If the phone boots then there should be no reason why at least download mode doesn't work with the exception of faulty hardware buttons
You can buy a USB jig (about £2 UK) from Amazon and insert it in the micro USB port of the phone when it is switched off - this will put the phone in download mode
However if the Vol up key doesn't work you won't be able to start connection
Best thing to do is pull the battery - connect phone to PC via USB
Hold down Vol down home button power button & insert battery whilst holding buttons - phone should enter download mode
Already tried. Screen pop up with a battery and a circle in the middle, vibrating then there's a blue flag warning with a struck through battery icon, as shown on the first pic I joined.
Volume down and up keys are fully functional. On the lockscreen, I press the power button 2 seconds and the options menu comes. If I press the vol down or up, there's indeed a sound notification.

Jigs are universal or some are Samsung exclusive? Sorry for not translating all my posts. I just said that the phone was not rooted, no modification, stock Orange ROM.

Universal - cost about £3 uk
Okay, thanks. I'll try this way. So, the jig force the device to boot in download mode when USB connected?

Switch phone off
You put the jig in the phones micro USB port & it will enter download mode
Remove jig & connect phone to PC via USB
push Vol up to start connection
I ordered one and will proceed once received. Thanks for explaining, I'll keep you informed if it works.
Thanks mate... works fine now. I managed to wipe all by installing default Samsung ROM then root + CWM.
Handy thing to have, i might think about buying of of those soon too
Well I repaired it but since this morning the phone is off. Can't switch it on. It was working few hours ago... I tried to charge it. The battery is dead.

No download mode nothing on screen what ever I do nothing changes so I started to believe that the phone is dead but it's recognized as mediatek preloader when connected to pc
you can try to turn off the phone by the hard way
maybe the phone is recognized as mediated device because of precessor
try holding power and volume up for about 20 seconds or
power and volume down
if its restart just enter download mode and post a screenshot

Mi A1 bricked and stuck in EDL black screen mode with white blinking led

Hi all!
First, english is not fluent for me, so excuse me for grammatical/temporal mistakes in my words.
It is now 12 days I am with my A1 phone bricked. It's bricked because I try to relock my phone with TWRP installed for making an OTA update.... I shouldn't, I know that now. My phone didn't wanted to boot, only on fastboot mode. But I couldn't flash anything because my bootloader seems to be locked now.
I disable the driver enforcement signature, installed the qualcomm drivers, open my phone and use the tespoints method. And my phone boot and this EDL mode 9008, and miflash tool saw it on COMxx and I was able to flash the fastboot july release. I was so happy! But, then, the phone now stay in black screen mode :crying: If I plug an USB cable for charge or on PC, the white led blink 3 times. I tried to push the power button during a few minutes, I tried to push power and volume up, power with volume down, power with volume up and down. I tried to reflash 3 times in miflash, everytimes it's a success flash, but I'm still stuck on that black screen mode. I don't know how to exit or if my phone is dead. I tried several USB port and cable too, that doesn't change anything.
Does anyone have any idea how i can exit this annoying black screen blinking white led mode? Or my phone is definitly dead? I searched but I didn't find a solution that works for my phone.

About 10 s . Try to push volume down and power button together and keep untill restart to fastboot
If doesn't work it can mean that power button has broken when you was opening the phone .
Well, I don't think it's the power button broken because if I plug the phone for charging, the led blink. If I disconnected the phone from charge and push the power button for 10s or more, nothing happen. If I put the phone and charge, start to push the power button then unplug the charge cable with power button still pushing it blinks 3 times after unplugged, then nothing. It's a small difference, but still a little reaction so I don't think the power button is the problem, but I'm not sure of that

When you connect phone with pc check what recognize in device manager . You can be in qdlooader 9008 or in diagnostic e900 . Always check what is in device manager after connect phone with pc . You will be know in which state is your phone . I don't know if your phone is in edl mode .
try holding on the power button and volume UP (not down) buttons for 10 secs and it should restart, I got into the same problem as u and that is what fixed it for me
if that doesnt work here is a link to a post with a guy that has the same problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/help/black-screen-xiaomi-mi-a1-reboot-power-t3728497
If I connect the phone to the computer, it shows nothing. I have to bridge the tespoints to make it appears, and then it appears in Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader9008 (COM10). And then I can flash with miflash and miflash tells me that it's a success.
I have exactly the same problem. Looking for a solution for weeks now. Tried everything that is on the net but still black screen

Sorry to read that but I think our phones are dead honestly. I don't see what to try to make it rise from the shadows of this black screen At least, I learn how to go in EDL mode and never relock bootloader with custom recovery. It's an expensive lesson but...
