These auto update/pushed wifi updates are insane !!! (no descriptions at all, I read transcripts of users chatting with att and they don't know what the updates contain?!?!
WTH !!! They "push" an update to our phones while we sleep, and now many peeps are experiencing major problems -
Why do you guys blindly download stuff without knowing the consequences, are you just a bunch of Lemmings?

No matter what I do I can't get this thing to install past 31%. I've tried defrosting EVERYTHING, disabling SuperSU and enabling Survival Mode yet nothing works. I tried deactivating all Xposed modules as well and wiping the cache, yet that didn't help. I'm starting to think that once I get this sorted out it'll be my last Samsung phone for a VERY LONG time.

Seriously, I have been with Apple for years, and their "updates" contain a description of what is contained in the update.
Same thing with updates for apps, it tells you what the update is changing/adding.
Not with Android stuff, they treat us like guinie pigs with these "secretive" updates, and you guys just gobble them up without even knowing what the heck is going to get changed on YOUR device! How can you guys just blindly allow downloads to your device with knowing what is up before hand?
Yesterday I looked down and I saw a Samsung update halfway done downloading!?! wth !!! I pulled the back cover and yanked the battery in less then 2 seconds, and put an immediate stop to that silliness. (then turned Samsung apps auto-update off).
That thread is just filled with guys having problems, losing their root, spending a crap load of time trying to get their phones back to how they were BEFORE the update. Some guys can't re-root, some guys have done factory resets, to no avail.
So seriously, can we stop this blind downloading nonsense by shutting down ALL auto updates?
On the MacRumors website, the devs there would check out updates BEFORE the masses did. I always waited a couple days after the update came out, and I always knew EXACTLY what was going to happen with the update.
Here in the Android World, the masses act like a bunch of Lemmings, blindly jumping off a cliff - It needs to stop.

I'm losing my patience with my HD2 today. First of all there's the media player (see my other thread). Then it's 'died' on me again, this time when I hung up after a call. I know it's been said it's a notification issue, but I have no agendas set in the calendar, no alarms or anything, so why is it still happening?
Then I've took2 calls and listened to one answerphone message today and the reception has been nothing short of appaling, why is this?
And the phone's stuttering quite a lot, sometimes while scrolling, sometimes when opening apps. Also the weather animation has started stuttering quite badly. What's wrong with my phone??? I've done a soft reset

It sounds faulty to me. Have you complained to your supplier about it?
Please make sure you upgraded your phone to latest ROM version available from HTC. 1.66 or 1.48 depending on where you are from. You can get it from htc.com.
Should this fail to solve your issue, please inform the kind users of XDA from which building, in what direction, and at which time you will be throwing said device off of said building, so one lucky XDA user might be able to catch it and walk away with a free HD2.

I pretty much can't buy/move anything without this happening so it's rendered the game practically unplayable. Hopefully a dev here can tell us what we need to tweak.
I think the above poster is trying to promote a site, its not even fully up and running, and i see nothing as to a fix for anything on the site, unless someone else see's something I dont

The one thing i have done is every-time i buy something, or move something i save my game, for me it usually happens if it try to buy 3 things in a row, so i now buy, save and buy,save...and when it crashes at-least my last save has the prior thing i bought. Its not a great way to play, but its all i can figure out until someone smarter than me comes up with a fix.
I haven't event installed the game yet so sorry I am of no help. Though I still find it funny that they promote a game that does not work.

My dad and I both have AT&T S4s, and he is not tech savvy or anything. Basically uses his phone for the minimum. I take care of his phone tho, and when I knew the 4.3 update was available after trying it myself I updated his phone to MK2.
He's kept the same apps since he updated hasn't installed new ones yet ever since the update he gets this message randomly throughtiut the day.
It comes and it doesn't tell which app is causing the alert to trigger and when he clicks View Apps all it does it take you to the manage apps settings screen...
I have gone through the settings in his phone countless times, even gone as far as to cross reference the time of the alerts to App Ops to see if I could narrow it down... But what am I missing!!!?
I have never seen this before and I have been with android forever! Has anyone else noticed this since the 4.3 update. Or even before it? What do I do!!!

If anyone can advise a fix, that would be so appreciated. I am almost ready to try a full reset, but my dad doesn't want to lose his data so I'm trying to save that for my last resort..

i get that to.
Hey guys
How do you update Knox? I can't find an option in any of the settings screens and since there is no "app" to open that is Knox I don't know how to update it. He is still getting the message
Oddly enough it seems to be triggered every time he turns on his WiFi and connects to a network.
Context:
I bought a Phantom 3 quadcopter/drone and I needed a tablet to run DJI Pilot App. I saw Tab Pro 8.4 on sale at Best Buy and it has a good outdoor bright screen so that's what I got. But the tablet lags video terribly. It's like watching a stop-motion video. Terrible.
To speed things up, I installed Google Now Launcher and disabled or uninstalled anything and everything I could (and was allowed to disable). I turned on developer options and got rid of any animations, and I turned on "Force GPU rendering."
All this helped quite a bit, but the video on my DJI App still stutters. It is a lot better, but still stutters.
The downfall:
And this is where I get greedy. Everyone keeps saying that rooting is easy and it helps to get rid of bloatware. Sounds like this will be my solution to my problem. If I can trash the Samsung bloatware, my DJI App will likely work well.
kingoapp.com seemed to be highly regarded and it looked simple enough. I started everything up, things started to happen. And then, Kingoapp said that it failed. The app will no longer connect to my device. Nothing is happening anymore.
Current situation:
My Galaxy Tab shows this:

I would greatly appreciate any help and direction on how to proceed. :crying:
Update 1: I tried doing a hard reset (hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-t320-galaxy-tabpro-84-wifi) per instructions here, but nothing happens.
Update 2: I also tried connecting via Samsung Kies 3 to do recovery, but it does not recognize my device. It knows something is plugged in, but doesn't recognize it.
This is how my device looks right now: :crying:
Any help would be sincerely appreciated. I have never rooted any device.
Update:
FIXED
I found Odin and XDA instructions and tips on Odin... everything is almost back to normal.
The only issue is that my HTTPS connections from the phone seem to get blocked now. To fix the NET ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID error, all I had to do is set the proper date and time for the tablet.
Can you post the link to what you found that helped fix your error? Also, were you able to address the HTTPS issue?
Thanks!
I've had my ups and downs with this phone, but today is where I might draw the line. After factory resetting this phone twice, the battery life has been awful, and today this phone got up to 106° F with the lowest brightness and only with WiFi on while browsing XDA on Chrome. I need to know if I should make good on that 2 year warranty, or if there is something that can be done about this.

Start with a factory reset. You obviously have something running the background consuming cpu.
I already have. Twice. It's a shame that this phone has no reliable way to monitor that, even with GSAM battery monitor.
Try better battery stats.
Alright

Food for thought - if you can't find an app that is making your CPU run nonstop then it has to be a problem with your firmware. Have you tried downloading the factory B20 from the ZTE website?
I tried a lot of things, including that update, but once I installed that firmware, I realized that CM 13 is stable for this phone now, so I went the extra steps and installed that on my phone. Thanks for the suggestions though.
