Hey!
The KNOX wasnt in the phone. but it is in the firmware. Usually 4.2... and less NOT KNOX. but if you get phone with 4.3 firmware or above then you probably get the KNOX included.
Peace for all!!!

Thanks,
so if I understood well. The phone with 4.2.x has bootloader without KNOX, but phone with 4.3.x has bootloader with KNOX. Am I right?
Because I have i9195 with 4.2.x but bootloader after update with the KNOX.

Yes, that is exactly right. This week I purchased the i9506 which I knew had 4.2.2 installed (I got it from where I work). I have another colleague who has the same phone, but he went ahead and updated to 4.3 and now he has the Knox bootloader.
Kind regards,

My best guess would be ebay. This one claims to hold 4.2.2 - and ships to Czech Republic for about $60 USD:

If not, I would probably look to German online electronics stores or any of your surrounding countries.
Kind regards,

Hello everyone
I installed last week the MJ5 with knox firmware of Germany, DBT and now I want to install MJ7 which is also knox based of United Kingdom, DBT.
My question is whether this procedure will turn the knox flag to 0x1 and void my warranty or not?
Thanks

I have an other question that I asked in another thread that doesn't get any replies so I want to ask you people here:
I installed last week the MJ5 German 4.3 stock rom (with Knox ofcourse) but when I enter Kies to see if there are any updates the Kies says that my firmware is not supported by Kies.
In the Kies the lines are:
PDA: MJ5
PHONE: MJ5
CSC: MJ5(BTU)
I understood already that BTU is the Product Code of United Kingdom but why is it there? I flashed the German stock rom so it should have been DBT there, right? I did everything by the rules.
And my question is: Will I be able to get OTA updates from Germany when they will be out (Kitkat and so on)? I don't care about Kies but will it interfere me with getting OTA updates?
Thanks
Anyone?

Hey guys!
I live in Denmark and we all just got KitKat on our Note 3's today.
I currently have this version and I was wondering if updating to KitKat would prevent me to root without losing Knox or if my current version already prevent that?
Hopefully someone can answer my question, thanks!

You'll still trip knox with your current 4.3 version. Look at here

Hi,
I have two questions - hope someone can assist:
1.Do you know a customized ROM with working KNOX?
2. If I will flash Samsung's original ROM, will I have a working KNOX? What about the flag?
Thanks.

I believe you can still use knox even if the flag is 0x1. What just that means is that the container is not as secure and companies who allow BYOD will not certify it for use in their company. Most custom rom I've come across doesn't have knox.
Thanks.
So - flashing Samsung ROM with ODIN will flag 0x1?

Not really unless knox is already 0x1.
The phone is unrooted.
Sorry for asking again - if I understood well, flashing my unrooted phone with Samsung ROM will leave the phone with warranty (cleared flag)?
Thanks again.

Doesn't your phone already have Samsung rom or you are trying to update to 4.4.2?
I updated to 4.4.2 (OTA) but have a lot of problems so I want to go back to 4,3.

I'm afraid it's not possible to downgrade to 4.3 once you upgrade to 4.4.2 ( for now ). Only the N900W8 can go back and forth between 4.3 and 4.4.2.
Ohhh. Very bad.
Any case - thank you for your assistance.

Hey, I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500. I want to root it and install cyanogenmod 11 on it. But I read that there's some problem with Knox and how it ends your warranty if the flag changes to 0x1. I'm currently on Android 4.4.2 kitkat official ROM by Samsung. Can I root it without loosing my warranty? Also, I read that Kingoroot roots your phone and doesn't trip your knox counter either. Does anyone know about this?
The main thing I wanna do after rooting is change the DPI of my phone. I hate such big icons.
Search for safe root method

I wish I could. I'm a student and only I know how I bought S4. It's only one month old. So, I can't buy HTC ONE M8. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion.
If your phone is unlocked
Sell it
Then get some little money then buy htc
