Ok i was restoring from a backup and now after telling the tablet to reboot from recovery it just loops right back to recovery. I do get something that says ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix? THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE. ?? hmm Anybody know how I can get out of this? Can I push stock image through adb if I am stuck in CWM? Oh by the way if I try to get into bootloader mode it just goes back to CWM. Try holding the power button for a while it goes to CWM. I can not put the phone in usb debug because I can not get to rom. HELP

Never mind found my fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781250 PeAcE!
So I installed TWRP on a new rooted G2 and now I'm stuck in TWRP with no ROM to flash. I can't boot into Bootloader mode- selecting that options just boots me back into TWRP.
I tried ADB Sideload from the advanced menu but that doesn't work either.
Is my only option to get some kind of external usb storage with a ROM on it and try to install from there?
I also tried holding Vol up and Down and plugging in USB cable from the powered off state and all it did was take me into TWRP again.
Not sure if this helps, but I made an error screwing around with build.prop and ended up in a bootloop. Was able to boot into recovery (cwm and not twrp) And And sideload wasn't working either for some reason. I did manage to adb push Clean Rom and install from zip, which saved me... so maybe adb push is worth a shot if sideload isn't working

No backup to restore? You may have to get an external connection/sd with a ROM already loaded on it.

Good to know i wasn't the only one
Im just able to start researching now, i'll update if i find anything, but i assume there's some kind of command that can be given via adb to disable the fastboot and allow the phone os to resume functioning, as my logic indicates since the restore worked for you, your phone is now simply at a point with no attempted update. i did the same process of clicking reboot, twrp looping, restored a backup and twrp still looping
EDIT: Pretty sure it's going to be a flag in a flat file. Combing over my init.rc file now, and i found a strange file called smpl_boot with a single 0 in it, not sure what it does

Can you enter Download Mode? (Holding volume down when G2 is turned off and plug the USB)
I also experienced this when restore using TWRP. But fortunately I can flash back to stock.

ahh i misread your post thinking you somehow had status messages on your screen during boot and that you got into TWRP each time. the question above this post asking about download mode may help you

specifically:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota of=/sdcard/fota-backup.img
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
fixed it for me for anyone finding this post that CAN get to TWRP, the above linked post has other hints as well that may work for OP
I got this same thing when I tried to update TWRP using flashify, I can reboot to phone , running CleanRom 2.0 but not to recovery in order to flash other stuff.

I somehow managed to do this as well. Did you get yours working again?
Edit: Fixed it up with this APP (Note that 3 other similar apps did NOT work): https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.freegee_free

My situation is a little different than yours, but you may be able to do this method (which is what I am working on at the moment). As long as you can get into download mode.

help !!
Hi, sorry for my english , I'm french
I wanted to flash a custom rom on my LG G2 D802 .
I wanted the Paranoid Android (PA +) with 4.3 JellyBean .
So I made the
Backup
Wipe data / factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Wipe dalvik Cache
After I
Choose zip ( custom ROM ) from sd card
Then I
Reboot System Now
And turn on my laptop, I get an error message saying
[640 ] started Fastboot Mode
[ 690] udc start ()
I realized I had to flash AOSP kernel before changing to a ROM paranoid . But my kernel is blocked and so I have to go back to the stock ROM
When I did this tutorial using lg tools , flashing stops at 49% with an error message .
I also saw that I could access the recovery mod by following this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2565904(but I saw that I could not otherwise reboot my phone after it was bricking ) and therefore flash my stock Rom which I had made the backup . But I do not know if the ROM has been saved and if it remained in my files after the Wipes.
If it is not there, is that in buying a micro USB ====> HUSB adapter, I could install a stock ROM from a USB key ? Or is there a way I can put files from my computer to my laptop which has no port micro sd?
And is what I could with my kernel "blocked " ?
Thank you very much
Same problem here too. Can't get a recovery installed no matter what i do
Does anyone have a solution yet?? Same thing has happened to me.
If you can't go into download mode but get fastboot mode instead first repair download mode using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595 and than flash back to stock 4.2.2 using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
My G2 can not go into download mode and recover mode, and my computer can not recognise it so I can not put anything to it.
fast boot
udc error.
CAN SOMEBODY
EXPLAIN IN SIMPLE WAY STEP BY STEP.
Thank you
Had this exact error too, fortunately flashing furnace kernel fixed it.
Tahir, I had to try several times until i succeed to boot to my recovery mode, try several times.
was having this issue. but i figured out my problem. the rom i was installing was a note3 rom. hahahaha. thats what happens when u have too many phones. and files in your computer. anyways.
i ddnt have to revert back to stock. i was able to reboot to twrp via hold power button and volume down buttons, when lg pops up, let go and press and hold both buttons again. when white screen with words comes up, press power then power then power. then ur back to twrp, at least mine did. and restored my recent back up.

How did you flash the kernel if you couldn't get into recovery?
I have download mode, but lg support tool only goes to 49% and I get error.
Would like to flash this kernel if you have another way

Try booting to recovery after you charge your phone for at least one hour and while it's NOT CONNECTED to the computer
If that's doesn't help try using ADB
I have a d802 . I had cloudy1.3 and twrp 2.7 installed with autorec. I tried to update it using
dd if=/sdcard/recoveryfilename.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
(from twrp page, with the latest img file).
But I coudn't access recovery, some error about security. Then I shutdown my phone and then it booted fine into system. I retried to access recovery but nothing.
So I decided to return to autorec, I installed it, I clicked "Flash Recovery" and now my phone doesn't boot in any way.
It show "lg security error" and then shutdown.
I can access download mode. Is there a way to fix my phone without deleting everything?
I'm sure the problem is the recovery, I was messing with it, can I bring my phone back and don't delete my configuration, photos, apps?
Thanks
I'm so happy!
I did it!!!
I managed to boot into recovery with the usual combination of keys (with the method that ask you if you want to format, but then you press power and it boot into recovery).
From there I saved everything using adb pull (Just in case). Then I dirty flashed Cloudy 1.3 and my phone is back !
I hope my experience can help someone
Hi,
I was flashing twrp with flashify when I just rebooted in recovery and since that moment my phone is stuch on an infinite bootloop showing me the:
"Recovery booting (recovery is not seandroid enforcing...)"
I'm plugging off the battery for some hours, but when plugged in nothing changed.
My phone has the usb port broken, so I can use it only to charge the battery, but no pc will recognize it.
Since the fact that I can't access download mode, or recovery mode to restore a nandroid backup, It's insane to buy a usb port to change it on the phone and try to link to a pc?
I mean, is there a way to access download mode?
Does JIG usb work in this situation of hard brick?
Any advice?
Thanks for answering.

You need a working usb to flash a custom recovery or an offical fw. I thought flashify needs root access to work?. Or if you already have root, you could adb to flash twrp but it's too late now.
Try getting into download mode. When it asks to proceed or cancel, choose cancel. Some people are lucky that the phone boot into system again but they need to fix the broken recovery later.

After 2 months of battery out, finally I got download mode to work, and pressing cancel my phone started.
Thanks.
But now it seems that there is no custom recovery installed, so when i go in custom recovery, the loop starts again.
How may I install again a custom recovery, knowing that:
1) I can't connect to pc, cm 12.1 has a bug, no pc recognizes my phone;
2) rom manager doesn't install any custom recovery on my phone;
3) flashify made my phone in boot loop, and I can't understand what I was wrong 2 months ago.
Thank you, man.
See your other post man .
Flash the tar version of TWRP using Odin. If there is no tar version, you can use Cygwin to convert an img file to a tar file.
