Having trouble finding information. The pinned thread the HotSpot MOD doesn't have anything about MK5.
Either you are in the wrong forum or you're confused about your ROM build. The thread you are referring it is for Sprint phones only, the previous build was MK2 and the current one is NAE.

Unless I missed something major, there was never an MK5 build on Sprint. We went from MK2 to NAE.

Ok, now that makes sense. The thread you are referring to is only for the original L720, not the triband version. I don't know if there is a separate forum for that device.

I unfortunately have no way to answer that. You can certainly try, but have a way to revert should your phone not boot or something. If you have a custom recovery, have a backup ready. Otherwise, have a stock ROM that you can flash via recovery or ODIN if your recovery is stock. But since I don't have your device, I can't tell you which ROMs to use.

My Clockwork recovery fails to flash. Clockwork recovery mod. It successfully flashes in the rom manager, but it fails to load recovery and falls back to stock recovery. Any suggestions?

he's asking about your build number.
settings > about phone
the build number will likely end in either MDL or MF3 if you're an at&t user.
read up.

If you had mdl firmware there would be a working recovery. Safe strap is what you have available on mf3. Ask at&t why
Search : Safestrap its all over our forum .
Its what all MF3 users are runnig to flash custom roms .
4.2.2 Touchwiz roms only
Locked bootloader is why we don't have a working recovery.

Hey I just have a quick question here. Is there a way to get wifi to work on a custom rom on the ATT GS4 (MK2) because not matter what rom I flash on it the wifi always breaks but when I go back to stock it works just fine. I even tried flashing the modem file but to no avail. If I can't I can understand I was just wanting to know if there's a workaround to this. Thanks to anyone who helps .
You need to flash the MK2 modules. Do some more reading. The modules are in the Safestrap thread.

Well when I first tried to install a custom rom I used this website to flash the modules and that was when I realized my wifi wasn't working on it. I'll just read up some more I suppose. Thanks for the response .

Has anyone being able to get the Hotspot Mod working with the new NG2 update?
Till the mod is released, Wanam xposed seems to be working on NG2.

That was useless, there is no hotspot mod currently available for the NG2 update. All the people that made this mod before have moved on to new phones. Your options are to download Xposed framework and use wanum to open the hotspot, or install a wifi tether app from the play store. If someone knows "fgr", maybe they can convince him to make a mod for NG2 since he was the one that made the MK2 and NAE mod.

Actually I am really not familiar with all the terms (MK2, Safestrap recovery etc. Is MK2 the Baseband version? In mine it says I337UCUAMDL).
I have been trying to search and learn how to do this properly and what I exactly need, with no great success.
I did find this:
http://androidxda.net/install-android-4-4-2-kitkat-i337ucufnb1-on-att-galaxy-s4-sgh-i337/
Is it what I need (upgrading to KitKat)? And do I have to ROOT before (I haven't done it in the past, and actually don't know how).

You are on mdl firmware, do not upgrade your firmware!!! Use this on how to root and how to put a custom recovery on. You can use twrp or cwm custom recoveries http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42320391
