Hello guys,
I am looking to get my phone to do screencast, I work either from home or in the office, and it is a pain to check IM's and SMS from the phone all day and night. I want to be able to just use the PC that I am working at.
I installed the SDK and attempted to get screencast to work on my rooted android 4.3 Note 3. However all I get is the picture of my phone, I can control the phone from the phone and the screencast updates, however it does not work in reverse whereby using the mouse and keyboard to control the phone.
I was just wondering if anyone has attempted this, has better solution, or knows that it will or will never work.
any help would be appreciated.
I think you would try teamviewer quicksupport with samsung addon

Any known apps out there that allows me to use my 5.0 megapixel camera as an amazing webcam?? ;p
A month and still no answer? I searched the Market and download some Dr.Hu app, but it never worked for my Moment or my Epic. There must be something out there that is simply a one-touch webcam app.
Droidcam (free app) works great. I use it to connect to my laptop via wifi.
Thanks for the reference, Keith. It works great. Hopefully they get front facing working so I can leave the phone sitting in the dock and use this.
I recently broke my phone to were i cant use or see the screen I need a program that can control it without download an app and I have tried android screencast and it wont open for me for some reason. Please help
I was reading about this program from Samsung that could let you use your phone remotely and share your PC mouse and keyboard with the phone, and also show the phone's screen on your computer, and it would be really useful, but for some reason it says it's not compatible with the Galaxy S4. What gives?
I got it to work by downloading the apk and installing it manually, it works perfectly, and it's really useful. You can basically see the phone's screen on your PC and use it with keyboard and mouse, or share your PC's keyboard and mouse with the phone and operate your phone with them.
I wonder why Samsung decided to make the app impossible to find on any store when it works perfectly. But then again it's Crapsung we're talking about here.
Hey guys, with the lack of MHL support in the s6, it was advised to use some form of screen mirroring to accomplish video output.
I use my phone to project GPS (google maps) in my cars display, so ive got my Ccast setup in there, and works fine from the youtube app, etc.
Now when i go to use screenmirroring via the ccast app it tells me i need a wi-fi connection to continue (hotspot isnt good enough i guess),
anyone know any way around this without rooting?
I have fixed it, if anyone is curious, you need to use an older version of the chromecast app, specifically, 1.11.11
I'm currently searching for a working solution to possibly remote into my Nvidia Shield and take full control of the device, possibly with a pass thru of sound also. I've read a number of posts about teamviewer but none of them seem to actually get the job done completely. I did try teamviewer and I could see my Shield device, but could not control.
So far, best I found is scrycpy from GenyMobile on github. This let me use a PC to and network debugging into access and control the Shield. But this is on a PC and not an android device. And still search for a sound solution.
I also tried Vysor chrome extension, but again that is with a PC and it also seemed a bit slower than scrycpy.
Can anyone recommend a combination of apps? This device is currently non-rooted, but I could be root it if needed.
Thanks,
Paul
