hi everyone, i wouls indeed appreciate some help here as i may have screwed up my phone for good now...i had the Legend rom installed on my i9500 with the Perseus kernel. I used a build.prop editor and edited the resolution field from 480 to 720..now when my phone restarted i cant get access to the build.prop editor to change it back and the touchwiz keeps crashing. I cannot get access to load my rom's zip file on my sdcard to flash via cwm recovery..my question is, can i flash my rom's zip file and the kernel via sideloading?

Any 1 help me plz! i wanna backup my firmware without kies!
I need a video guide, saving firmaware and update my phone to Kyrillos' ROM v2.2 Gingerbread Edition!
Thanks all!
I also like to know how to backup the original firmware before i am flashing to a custom ROM, but i can't find a solution for this problem.
hope someone knows what to do
I think you can't. Only if there's a way to look in your system folders using your computer. Maby you can copy your firmware files from your system to your sd Using a file manager (like bluetooth file manager or androzip or something)?
Hello,
I need your help. I tried something in services.jar and now my mini is no longer booting. It is just showing the green color text and then nothing happens.
Is there a way I can replace the services.jar with the original file? Perhaps via recovery? Unfortunately I have no clue how to do this...
If possible I do not want to reflash everything as I would be loosing all my settings...
Who can help?
Thanks
AFAIK, recovery doesn't have services like samba or file sharing, something like "map drive" for system partition access and replace files.
Maybe some dev can make you a .zip image only with that file, and you can install it from recovery.
I have tried some apps but they only let you add individual entries, while I have a file with thousands of entries that I need. My device is unlocked and rooted but using the secure stock rom. I tried pushing the file with the N7 toolkit but that needs a custom insecure rom to work.
Any suggestions for ways to replace the hosts file that don't involve flashing a new rom?
Thanks.

Well, I'm quite tired and I still can not find a solution to this ... the problem is I can not delete any folder in the folder TWRP backups :/ here the strange thing is that you can not change anything inside this folder or create files ... and I tried several file browsers and nothing so far the only solution was to remove them from the same TWRP recovery and it´s the only way to delete this files...
but my question is: Anyone have any idea why it happens? I'm the only one who does this happen? i use the 2.7 twrp recovery, an 4.4.2 stock...
sorry for my bad english
The problem is the stock kernel, i change the kernel to Civato, an now i can delete and modify this folder :good:
Hey guys, just wondering how I go about making a flashable zip? Basically I edited my build prop and now my phone wont turn on, I don't want to go and have to wipe my phone as that's just a huge mess about. I did a backup of my build prop and copied over to my computer before editing so I do have the original. I'm rooted with TWRP installed, I've tried to sort it through adb when connected in recovery but the driver wont install so that's not an option at the minute. As I have the original build prop I wanted to know if it's possible to make a flashable zip so I can just replace the broken file with the working one? Cheers guys.

Pretty easy: Copy the unmodified build.prop file to an SD card. Put said card in the phone. Boot to TWRP. Mount both System and SD Card. Then go to ADVANCED and FILE MANAGER. From there you can rename the modified one in /system, copy the original file from the SD card, and then set its perms correctly.
Your phone should boot properly then.
Hope this helps!
