[Q] Media Volumen Display Problem - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
i have the following problem.
Whenever i change the media volume the phone will only show the current volume level, it doesn't change when i press the volume rockers. The volume changes correct but this is annoying.
This behavior won't appear at changing the normal ringer volume.
You can watch this phenomenon at the beginning of this little video.

Maybe someone knows about this problem?
I think this appeared after the 4.4.2 Update?!
My Nexus is running on Stock.
Best regards,
Gery

Windows Media Player problem plz read

my Windows Media Player in my Magician does not save the last audio volume it always remains at 70 if i close it and re-open it whatever volume i set it to e.g. 100%.
the other thing is that when i decrease the volume to 0% i can still hear the song playing albeit in a more quiet volume.
anybody faced this problem before? please help
many thanks in advance
once upon a tima i had the same problem.
it has to do with the system volume (tap the speaker in your task bar to adjust). if you set up this volume to 70% your media player will take the same value. just change your system volume and the wmp will change, too
i have the same problem... the system volume is set to 100% but player still comes up as 70% everytime. any reg hack?
Same here...
Although I wanted to turn the volume down really low so I could listen to music at work and still hear whats going on around me. Which you can't do. Even if you set it to 0% (with the system volume at one notch off mute).
Have had to buy a set of headphones with an inline volume control...ho hum..
My player volume stays at what I set it to though.
Cheers

[Q] Adjusting volume in music player

While trying to adjust the volume on the HTC music player tab using the left hardware volume rocker the music temporarily cuts for about 2-3 seconds before the volume changes. There is no visual volume indicator on the screen either. Also the increments are pretty large.
I am running 1.48
Does anyone have this problem? Help please!

[Q] call volume is the only volume the rocker will adjust

Hello Everyone,
small issue on my Stock 4.4.2 Nexus 4 and it just started to happen either since 4.4.2 or sometime in the last couple weeks. The volume rocker will adjust the volume properly and then at some point im not sure when or why the volume rocker stops functioning properly and only appears to want to adjust the in-call volume. The Icon that appears when the rocker is actuated is that of the phone symbol not the phone symbol with sound lines emanating from it.
A reboot will fix the problem, however annoying that is. I have a suspicion that it might be related to bluetooth. My nexus4 automatically connects to my car. I am going to try to stop connecting to the in-car BT starting today to see if the problem stops.
That being said, if anybody knows what could be causing the problem that would be great. Otherwise I may just factory reset it over the next fews days.
thanks!
PS I have uploaded two pictures of the sound icon with and without the little sound lines if my descriptive powers have failed.

Auto adjusting media volume (all ROMs)

I have had this weird bug with all headphones, all ROMS and on all Android versions.
Basically on YouTube while I am watching the volume slider will appear and then auto adjust the volume up and down randomly. Even on headphones without physical volume buttons.
Afterwards the Google Assistant or Google Now will launch into voice search mode and the video will keep pausing and resuming.
I do not press the volume buttons at all. This is a very irritating problem and I need a fix for that ASAP.
Anyone else have this problem?
[Edit: thread can be closed, fixed with Lineage 14]

Lenovo A7010 (K4 Note) ringtone volume level problem

Hello everyone,
I bought this phone recently (Android 6.0), and I have to say that I am satisfied, except one problem, I can't reduce the volume level of the ringtone.
I have tried manything, the volume keys works correctly for games, videos and musics and the display volume bar appears in the screen and i can contol the volume level, it also appears for ringtone and alarm volume but unfortenally still always to the maximum level.
I want to control the volume and decrease it (during the night for example) but nothing happens.
Help me please.
Hi,
I finaly found a solution; a HARD RESET (not a simple reset from the setting menu), for all those are in the same case
