Is 4.3 released for C5302 in india??
Sent from my C5302 using Tapatalk

@Chain Hacker
Well android 4.3 is released for India. I have been going through Xperia SP Support forum, where many Indian users have already received Android 4.3. Sony support - India also say that they have already released android 4.3 for Xperia SP , but it'll take time to reach as they updating regional wise

I have still not got it, could you list whether there are any bugs or not? Volume bar issue and BE2 working? Any new indian languages? Looking for telugu. Thanks.

[ UPDATE ] XSP Android 4.3 has officially came to India now...Check all.!

Yes I understand that, but only op or someone who downloaded can provide you that
I was just trying to help in the mean.
As if it's IN then there's only one possible customization number.I took it from my phone regardless.

@Chain Hacker
Customization Number is
1272-3289
It is an Indonesian customization number. But it has all apps and languages that an Indian firmware should have. Well I'm really confused !

the update is released in India today just make an ftf from the indian version and update the post

1272-1441 what a region? What a country? Tell me pls!

Is it worth it?
So now India also gets 4.3 .. I can see it in my PCC, I just haven't updated my phone yet.
Before I update, I want to ask what are the pros and cons of 4.3 over 4.1 ?
I'm asking specifically about the Indian firmware (Those of you who have updated their phone please do reply)
I'm currently using 4.1 and I have absolutely no real bugs/problems in my phone. The phone is smooth, the battery lasts more than 2 days, apps work properly, etc. The only issue I have is that the touch doesn't work when I charge it via my Laptop, but apparently this issue is still unsolved. So I want to ask if it's worth to upgrade to 4.3? Are the new features better ? Will I get more battery (because I've read some people saying their phone got hot and drained quickly in 4.3) ..
Do reply please.. waiting.. Thank you..

To all SP users,
I've the ftf file for Indian FW.
If anyone needs it please let me know, I'll be uploading it by noon.
Cheers. :good:

i flashed this version and this is customization..

New update is out? I am on 4.2.2

Hi guys, I am on 10.3.A.0.423 and just got the warning in Sony Pc Companion that a new update is out!
Hope it fixes the minor lags.
Hope it is not a bug too, because I havent seen this new update being reported anywhere.
My customization number is 1270-5695.
So what is the update version?
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
Strange... I updated the phone, but it still is on 10.3.A.0.423.
Any way to check if another thing has changed?
PS: I have never flashed anything on it, I always used sony pc companion to update my phone.

Well, it is the same version. I dunno if it is the same version with bugfixes. I dont know how to check that.
But the minor lags seems to be gone, although it may be a placebo effect because I just turned my phone on.
I will use my phone more to see if it has improved anything.
you were using the wrong kernel for your 4.2.2 because it happens to me when i flash other kernel or flash custom rom the sony companion will give me the update as a new update but in fact it's the same.

Even if I have NEVER flashed anything on it?
I've never even rooted my phone.
I opened a lot of apps, games, made a call, browsed a bit, and still no sign of lag or whatsover in the album or anything.
Will test more to see if it really fixed that.
Guys, I am tired of test my phone!
The lags really seems to be gone!
Must be a bugfix update!
Please someone else test to confirm!

Any way to get a list of what has changed? Or maybe it is just the lagfixes, since the build number remained the same.
am currently updating as we speak
It is nice to see Sony making hotfixes this fast.
Actually, EMMA does not know about this update, so it's probably just an app update for the HK region installed by PC companion instead of through OTA...

Nothing in Oz.
I can confirm that the lag is gone, from what I can see till now, from everywhere. There is still a semi lag in the list where I choose Widgets. But with the former 4.2.2, the lag there was bad. I am still installing apps on my phone and after that I can test correctly. Now there is no lag on Lockscreen Widgets, before when I slided down the Widget, I got lag, now it's smooth. I tried hard to make the main screens and Drawer pages to lag and 0 result. So Sony hat down with this update.
No update in The Netherlands yet

New .423 Realease from HK

Hello all, my phone just recieved updates via PCC (I was previously on 4.2.2). I upgraded and found that the build number is also 423, however more smooth system, espicially the album lag seems to be fixed.
I provide you the ftf link of new .423 HongKong Firmware. This is not uploaded by me (damn speed), but a friend from another forum.
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=3475709745&uk=4079996535
This link is from China and I am not sure about the speed.
According to some findings by Applo, it seems that the new release does not fix anything.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43292324
while other users find upgrading do fix the album issue. its strange, you can make a backup and try yourself. hope it works

As this is a tiny update, just to address the lags, should I flash it (I've done that once, but nervously) or is it likely to be pushed out fast? I am network unlocked, but using the Spanish 423 on Vodafone UK...

Sorry for being off topic, but, for the love of God, it's LAG with no plural. Just like you wouldn't say two glasses of waters.
It's not a real firmware update, just an update of the customization. Your customization version will have changed from 1270-5695_R2B to 1270-5695_R3B. This just means that Sony has changed something to the bundled apps or the customized settings.
Some weeks ago, this happened to the 'Generic NL' customization too. After updating, the Box app was pre-installed.

You're welcome
The core firmware (basically everything except the bundled apps and the resource overlays) stays the same as long as the build number doesn't change. Only the parts that are specific to the 'Generic HK' customization can be changed by the update.
If you look at the update XML file for 'Generic HK', you'll see that the latest firmware image (for Sony PC Companion and Sony Update Service) is swVersion 10.3.A.0.423 with cdfVersion R3B, while the latest delta update (OTA update) is still swVersion 10.3.A.0.423 with cdfVersion R2B.
I just downloaded this FTF (Generic HK 10.3.A.0.423 R3B) and compared it to the previous version (Generic HK 10.3.A.0.423 R2B).
These are the only differences:
build.prop: 'ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R2B' changed to 'ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R3B'
vendor/overlay/android-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.android.browser-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.android.providers.settings-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.android.settings-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.sonyericsson.capabilities-res.apk

vendor/overlay/com.sonyericsson.initialbootsetup-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.sonyericsson.r2r.client-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.sonyericsson.setupwizard-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.sonyericsson.trackid-res.apk
vendor/overlay/com.sonyericsson.wappush-res.apk
Only some resource overlays have been changed, all the rest is exactly the same.

Thanks. I'll try Emma again soon. Ironic really - Emma is a Sony developer tool which is meant to give updates a bit sooner than the usual methods
For those of us that are on Cyanogen, is there any way of finding out if the FTF has any important firmware updates in there?
I can rename the .370 FTF to ZIP and see all the sin files, but the vast majority I am unsure about.
Otherwise, I can always nandroid and do it that way

Relock your BL or wait for a ftf.
The problem is not using a custom rom and update with pcc (the rom doesn't matter but the kernel yes), it's when your bl is unlocked you can't update via SUS/PCC no more.

Ok, sounds like a good compromise
When someone uses PCC to download the firmware, is a local copy stored?
Just wondering what the chances of getting this file are!
I like everything is this update, except the recent apps tray. Swiping away should always be 'swipe across' not 'swipe up or down'.
Few new features might have been nice, but can't complain. At least it's arrived!
It also has the thumb keyboard!

I wil try to make one following the instructions on xda.
I have made a FTF according to this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334653
- Device: SGP511
- Build number: 17.1.A.2.36
- Android version: 4.4.2
- Customization version, region, branding: Didn't understand how to find out this stuff exactly. Looked in the service menu etc., but there were different numbers...
It's a normal SGP511 without carrier branding, and it is a model for the countries IT,FR,EN,PL,NL,DE, so I suppose it's kind of European firmware version. Or global???
- Download link: http://ul.to/eqlrc7oc
Can you please upload that to somewhere else as I can't download from there (says too big for free users)

Would be REALLY great if more Taiwanese / Chinese users could confirm that the new .55 firmware resolves the touch problem!
Because other users then knew that they only have to wait until the .55 firmware is released for their region! (And must not exchange their devices.)

Would you also create a FTF file for the .55 firmware for model SGP511, that'll be much appreciated , cheers

Sorry, trough Tapatalk changelog was not visible
how about camera api 2 ?
First thing after flashing 5.1 I noticed is that they fixed device locking bug. So on 5.1 if you lock device, screen doesn't reacts to touches anymore. I think that user interface is faster than in 5.0. Last thing which I'm worried about is launcher reloading. I didn't see it for now. So maybe they fixed it too.
But I need days to say that this upadte is good. But for now it looks that it's way better than 5.0 update was.
Everyone who hasitate about upgrade. Do it right know. You will probably like your Xperia Z1 again.
Installed. Seems really faster than 5.0.1
Hi, I've made pre rooted firmware(included superSU, Dualrecovery and Xposed) using this ftf. with PRFCreator.
Flashed it yesterday. So far all works great on my z1 c6903. Thanks :good:
can i flash with the C6903_Lollipop 5.1.1_GLOBAL-LTA.ftf on a xperia z1 t-mobile NL(Netherlands) device. Do I have to flash it to unbrand it and do I need to install flash drivers?, before I am flashing the ftf file in Flashtool? What happens if it's fail can I rollback to the official/orginal firmware 5.0.2, recorvery mode?

Just Flash with flashtool and its never failed
I have C6903 with T-Mobile firmware. It was network locked and I unlocked it. I guess flashing this firmware wouldn't lock the phone again?
I need to flash it with flashtool, right? Any step by step tutorials? I kinda lost my way into this...
Thanks.
Sorry for the following stupid question.
What does global lta mean?

Sorry, I don't know. Did a little searching, but nothing obvious jumped out. Maybe someone else will chime in. I can see that they have different customization numbers and different sales items; I am inclined to think that sales item is less important, but customization could affect the modem or something important.
