Modded KK MMS.apk? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a modded Mms.apk out there for KK? I want to get back the functions and features that were in Android 4.3 with Quick Reply and Sent Timestamps. Example

bump

you want cyanogen version of mms.apk, they were the ones who did it,I couldn't find it for the nexus 4, try the theme and apps section or get it from the rom
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600839
or use 8sms for the same thing without needing root

I suppose you are running PA?
The theme engine is made to interact with the AOSP apps, not the Google apps. Some developers use the apps from stock ROM's instead of the apps they build from source. Try picking the mms.apk and keyboard apk ( I think it's called LatinIME.apk ) from a CM nightly, put them in your /system/app folder, set the right permissions and reboot.
If this works it might be worthwhile to make a flashable zip of the apps you want to replace, there are quite a few of guides out there that teach you how to do this. But if you need help you can also just drop me a PM. Be sure to use the Edify language, and not the old Amend language which is still used in the old (3.x < I think) recoveries.

I appreciate the response man. I have started just flashing the goo gapps right after the pa gapps. Seems to get the job done.

Touchwiz launcher

ive tried several touchwiz launcher zips for install im n slimrom just kinda miss touchwiz feel is it not possible to install the zips ? they install but when my phone boots up the option to switch to that launcher isnt there it doesnt show up. slim rom android 4.3
You must have TW framework in the ROM, as the TW launcher relies on more than just the launcher apk to properly run. Slim, as well as all the other CM/AOSP ROMs do not have this framework. This is fairly common knowledge, search would have given you several thousand answers to this question. Whole point of Slim and the like is to NOT have TW.

[Q] Omega Rom V12

I have installed Omega V12 on my Note3, didnt edit the application that come with it.
Is there a way to go back or to modify (Add or Delete) certain Apps?
1. This forum is dedicated to the paranoid android ROM. So you should probably look for omega ROM in your device forum.
2. While I'm not familiar with the ROM you should be able to add and remove apps the same way you do in stock. Download from play store and uninstall from settings.

[Q] Is there any very clean deodexed rom with no mods at all?

As title says, looking for a very clean (with no mods at all) rom, just deodexed with root or without (I can root it and add cwm), for a N9005 NC2 or newer
These all what i need:
Deodexed
Zipaligned
Stock kernel
Extra:
Rooted with latest SuperSu
Knox deleted
Busybox
These all I do not need:
Support init.d
Build.prop tweaks
4 way reboot
Roboto Condensed font
Keyboard with secondary symbols for all languages enabled
No SMStoMMS conversion
SMS/MMS Show sent time instead of time received
Save and Restore SMS/MMS to SD Card
Enabled group messaging
Unlimited SMS recipients
Enabled Split View Mode in SMS/MMS Settings
Enabled Screen On/Off Toggle in SMS/MMS Settings
Increased the SMS hour limit to 1000
Network unlocked
Exit menu in stock web browser
Shutter Sound Menu in Camera Settings
Center clock and traffic meter
White battery icon
White signal arrows
Scrooling cache disabled
Fast, smooth and battery friendly
Custom SecSettings not change device status info (if you have "Official" status, flashing this rom will not change it!)
the least roms in mods that I know are: Omega and Assassin, but both still has a lot of mods
X-not is full of mods
Try Omega Rom, been using it for months now and compared to the other Rom's about, it's the best there is.
yes, i know it, even i just read his V13, he has a lot of mods and kernel
Looking 4 just deodexed stock rom

Most of the mods and apps the Rom comes with can be deleted when installed or while installing the Rom through Aroma you can choose not to include them.
You can also choose which kernal you want through Aroma, stock or omega..
It's probably the closest to stock Rom you will find.
Tweeks or mods( themes)??
Aha, ok , will look at it later after seeing other users recommendations

Sent from my N9005
it has all what i do not need, check my edited OP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718684
What about this Rom? Seems there isn't any mods/tweaks, plus there is a full, light and ultra light choice of Roms available....
Or you could try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649176
Other than them 2 and Omega, I doubt you will find a 100% stock Rom
Assassin rom is probably the most modded rom there is...
Thanks, I think the lite version will do, although he deleted some apps from the rom , which i need them for my theme, but will work with him for that
U can use dash mod will remove tweeks v0.1
And will flawless urxboot time
How? where?
This seems like what you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649176 as said previously.

Need JB 4.1 Messanger App

Hello EveryOne, i Recently updated My Droid Razr M to Kitkat 4.4.2 182.x.x.x
i want to Replace its Messaging App With JB 4.1 Messaging App Because there is no select and Delete option, kindly someone give me that app
May I suggest using CM 11 messaging app instead? Some Jelly Beans apps won't work due to difference in the underlying framework.
Cm11 Messaging App have Select And Delete Option ? if it have then Please Give me Link
It do have select and delete options as far as I know (been using CyanogenMod for a very long time, since CM7).
Ok, please make a backup of your entire texts, before I upload CM11 messaging apk outta my CM11 ROM installer zip. Back up your original mms.apk before swapping it, and make sure the new mms.apk has the same permissions as the other apps in /system/priv-apps/ or /system/apps/ before rebooting the phone. Then restore the texts, and hold down on the unwanted messages before you are shown the options, and then touch the others you want to delete too, afterwards touch the garbage can. You will of course have to have root access first before you can swap the mms.apk though.
Brother Thanks For Help, My Problem is Solved i Uninstall Stock MessagiNg App And Install Go Pro SMS And It Works Great.
